When he was fiished and I had paid for the service I went on about my business. After a few hours, I noticed water was flowing across my bathroom floor again. I called the company and was told that they would be out to check on it. They showed up the next day and corrected the water level error. After a few day it began leaking again. As of today I had to get a relative to replace the defective part so the toilet would flush and not overfill. I was totally frustrated with their service. I was charged $200 for a defective ($10) part.

The incident occurred during rush hour in Irving, TX at about 5:20 PM, 12.18.18. The particular location was in an area where road construction was cutting two lanes down into one. Rather than zipper in the traffic as is expected in normal traffic, the gentleman driving the Good Ol' Boyz plumbing work truck made it a point to speed up, thus cutting me off from a window I had, and force me to slam on my breaks lest I drive into the road work area which was about 3 feet lower than the road. He then made it a point to stop and glare at me as if I was the one somehow at fault. As fate would have it, we shared the same drive for several miles which allowed me to make a few observations. He sped, typically 10-15 miles over the posted limit (usually getting stuck behind someone doing the limit so I was able to catch up); I often noticed him looking down presumably at a cell phone while driving; and he made regular erratic lane changes without signaling. I'm unsure as to the nature of his rush, but it was unsafe driving at its best. If the owner happens to read this and would like to reach out to me, I did jot down the license plate and description of the person driving.

I've dealt with a lot of plumbing repairmen over the years and I can confidently say that Kellwin…read moreand Jose of Plumb Bros are two of the most honest, ethical, competent and professional plumbers I've ever hired for a job. Our family has a 30 year old Lochinvar boiler that very few local plumbing companies know what it is, let alone how to work on it. We hired another company two years ago (I won't say the name but it rhymes with PIMS ) and the guy obviously "milked the clock" and then charged us $600 with nothing to show for it. He said he'd be back with $1200 worth of parts and then probably charge us another $600 in labor, if not much more to finish the job. Well needless to say, I called the company and told them to not bother ever coming back. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Anyway, cut to a winter later, we had to face the same issue again and this time I did better due diligence and requested help via Angie's List for plumbers who had specific experience with Lochinvar boilers. Naturally, I immediately got contacted by several HVAC repairmen, not plumbers, who had no experience with boilers, but were only hoping to make a quick buck. The only one who knew how to work on boilers that bothered to contact me was Kellwin at Plum Bros (Plumbing Brothers for short). He told me that he had taken boiler service classes at the actual Lochinvar Company in Tennessee and was confident that he could help me with the repair service. I took a chance with him and Plum Bros and I'm very glad I did. He and his work colleague, Jose, showed up that day for a very reasonable service call, told me in short order what the problem was and exactly what parts were needed to fix the boiler. They ordered the parts directly from Lochinvar (much cheaper than $1200 I might say) and came back as soon as the parts arrived to fix the boiler. I would HIGHLY recommend Kellwin and Plum Bros for any any plumbing or boiler job if you want the job done right the first time at a very reasonable cost. 5 Stars!!!

This is a 20-30 minute job. They wanted to charge $455!!!!!!! And we are paying for their annual inspection service. So tired of plumbers who are taking advantage of customers with their commissions based abuses.

The initial estimate promised a lot but DEFINITELY didn't deliver. If you use them, my advice would…read morebe to print a copy of the work you're being quoted for and go line by line like we did to make sure it gets done. Force Home Services were at our house for 3 weeks because they kept half-assing everything. Below are examples: 1.) They were supposed to replace and level the pad for external unit. They only replaced the external unit. I had to call them back out to replace the pad and then back out again to level it after they propped it with a 2x4 (see pic) 2.) They cut the suspended duct work in the attic and left it with several kinks which was restricting air flow. I had to call them back to re-hang all of it and make sure it was flowing properly. 3.) We had just installed all new blow insulation throughout the house the year before... they threw their metal scraps, empty coffee cups, tape rolls, and rags in the insulation. I had to go through with an extension grabber and get as much as I could. There's still a QT coffee cup up there that I simply can't reach (see pic) 4.) They agreed to clean the duct work throughout the house. They only cleaned the upstairs. I had to call them back out to do the downstairs and they still didn't get all of them. 5.) They twisted the valve on our external hose bib so far to the right that they broke it and caused it to leak... which made a swamp on our side yard for about 2 weeks. Not really sure why they even had to use the water. They sent a plumber to replace it but then water began leaking into our master bath and master closet. 6.) The leak inside the house, caused by fixing the leak outside, required a second company (Dry Force... unaffiliated) to come in and dry out what was behind the walls and on the floor. This required ripping out some of the padding in our master closet and plugging in 4 industrial sized drying machines for a about a week. Our power bill was easily $100 higher from power used and heat generated that month AND when the equipment was removed, Force was only willing to pay to replace the bare minimum from the damaged caused. After the water incident, I just had them cut me a check for what they were willing to pay ($250) and opted to do the work myself in order for it to be done right (the first time). We will never use or recommend them again.
