The last homeowner had a cheap toilet installed, which created more problems than expected. Jake was fantastic throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain my options, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what I was paying for rather than just pushing me toward the most expensive solution. What really impressed me was that Jake worked the cost of the work they had already completed into the replacement toilet, which saved me a significant amount of money. On…read moreSaturday Jul 6th, 2019 my wife and I were returning home from a 30 mile ride out for early breakfast. I saw a man in a white pick up urgently pull over on the side of the road and mess with his toolbox in his truck. I passed him stopped ar 60mph. Later down the road, he passed me at 80mph. Didnt think much about that. Ten miles further, I'm ready to turn left onto my residence street with three vehicles behind me. My left turn indicator has been on for 1/4 mile at least at 45mph and slowing to turn in a no pass section of road due to a blind turn ahead. No cars are approaching in front of me, so I begin to move further left to finish the turn courteously from the left lane and "whoosh" the white Good Ol Boyz GMC pickup passes me on the left. nearly killing my wife and I. I was filled with rage but I chose not ro chase him down and endanger my wife further. Twenty minutes later, the person driving the car behind me tapped on my garage door to ask if that was us that was nearly crushed by the foolish driver. I always leave my garage dior open whike the Harley air cools so she saw it from the street. We were so glad to see this Angel! She followed the GOB driver to a point where he stopped and got out of the truck and she took a pic of his tailgate and license plate that also included www.gobplumbing.com on the tale gate. Did I mention he backed up and hit her car intentiinally?? Calls by me to the company ended in reports that the truck had been sold. No calls from the owner yet to convey the "new" owner's name etc if that's true. I've turned the matter over to Police. I think this company has an image problem brewing if they fail to help get this handled. I want this driver off our roads! Watch out for these drivers and expect the unexpected!! When he was fiished and I had paid for the service I went on about my business. After a few hours, I noticed water was flowing across my bathroom floor again. I called the company and was told that they would be out to check on it. They showed up the next day and corrected the water level error. After a few day it began leaking again. As of today I had to get a relative to replace the defective part so the toilet would flush and not overfill. I was totally frustrated with their service. I was charged $200 for a defective ($10) part.

Our family has a 30 year old Lochinvar boiler that very few local plumbing companies know what it is, let alone how to work on it. We hired another company two years ago (I won't say the name but it rhymes with PIMS ) and the guy obviously "milked the clock" and then charged us $600 with nothing to show for it. He said he'd be back with $1200 worth of parts and then probably charge us another $600 in labor, if not much more to finish the job. Well needless to say, I called the company and told them to not bother ever coming back. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Anyway, cut to a winter later, we had to face the same issue again and this time I did better due diligence and requested help via Angie's List for plumbers who had specific experience with Lochinvar boilers. Naturally, I immediately got contacted by several HVAC repairmen, not plumbers, who had no experience with boilers, but were only hoping to make a quick buck. The only one who knew how to work on boilers that bothered to contact me was Kellwin at Plum Bros (Plumbing Brothers for short). He told me that he had taken boiler service classes at the actual Lochinvar Company in Tennessee and was confident that he could help me with the repair service. I took a chance with him and Plum Bros and I'm very glad I did. He and his work colleague, Jose, showed up that day for a very reasonable service call, told me in short order what the problem was and exactly what parts were needed to fix the boiler. They ordered the parts directly from Lochinvar (much cheaper than $1200 I might say) and came back as soon as the parts arrived to fix the boiler. I would HIGHLY recommend Kellwin and Plum Bros for any any plumbing or boiler job if you want the job done right the first time at a very reasonable cost. 5 Stars!!!
