Great food, and service even though it can get pretty busy, nobody rushes you. Food comes out quick. Casual ambiance with good coffee. I ordered the huevos rancheros. Great tasting hot salsa like it should be. Came with black beans and potatoes that were awesome. I recommend this. Eggs are made and topped your way on a tostada with beans and hot sauce poured over it. Definitely delicious. I ordered sweet cream crepes to go and they forgot to add the sweet cream on the side and they were a little dry. A little disappointed but oh well. I do recommend this establishment and will come back. Only four stars because of my crepes this time. I spent $45 plus tip.

I see why Hungry Jack's always has a wait! My first time trying HJ was for breakfast. I had the pancake combo with grits and bacon. Everything was delicious and homemade. The second time I ordered Togo. I ordered the chicken tender plate with mashed potatoes and corn. The chicken tenders are huge. They are more like mini fillets. The service was great both times and the restaurant is very clean! If you are in the Crosby area you have to stop by and try them. Be sure to go to their website and add your name to the wait list before you head there.

I mean don't get me wrong, it was good. I mean look at the pictures. Great meal. But when I was handed the bill and had to fork over $28 (including $4 for toast -- which is literally just two total slices of white bread -- that I didn't even ask for), it left a bad taste in my mouth. Please look at these pics and tell me what makes it $28.

Make sure to go online and get on their waitlist before coming here. It's always busy because it's that good. Everything on their menu is phenomenal the burgers the nachos the steak you name it. The servers here are amazing very friendly staff. The prices are insane for the giant portions that you get served here. You will need a to go box!

I absolutely loved the food here! Not only was it reasonably priced and the portion sizes big, but it tasted so good too! I got the country biscuits and gravy and it came with so much gravy, usually I have to ask for extra at other places. The pancakes were so fluffy, it was a perfect mix between fluffy and dense without being too dry. But the French toast (not pictured sadly) was the star of the show: I think most French toast is subpar, but this one had such nice doughy texture, and a crunchy coating of cinnamon, that it was the best French toast I've had. The restaurant itself was pretty quaint and country themed, it had cute decor! Our waitress Alexandria was AMAZING! I would come back just to be sat in her section. She was nice without being overbearing, offered great suggestions, refilled our drinks before we could even ask, and checked on us consistently. She even made sure my iced coffee wasn't too sweet and specially made it, even the refill she brought me. She was great! The place did have a wait though, which I was not expecting on a Friday morning. We wait about an hour, was originally estimated 45 minutes. I highly recommend joining the waitlist online if you want to visit anytime after work/during the weekend (we weren't aware they had one until we got there). Overall would love to come here again!

We popped in for a bite to eat, but once we walked in their was quite a few people ahead of us. But everyone was sat quickly and we didn't wait no more than a couple minutes. This place was slammed but service was pretty good for it being so busy. The coffee wasn't terrible but it wasn't good and would advise juice or soda. I got the Waffle combo with 2 hash browns, 2 sausage patties (very good), 2 eggs, and a choice of their Waffle selection. I got be cinnamon crunch and oh my were they good! Overall I would recommend this place for breakfast/brunch and will be back! Everyone enjoyed their meal and it wasn't to overpriced. Very happy with our experience! read more

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Great family place. Everything I've eaten has been great. My favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich or the Cobb salad. They will also cater to those that would like a mix of French fries and onion rings. They call them frings read more

Spinach and mushroom crepe is one of the most beautiful meals I've ever had the pleasure of tasting! Two come on a plate, so perfect for two meals. Don't say you're open till 8, if you can't serve people till 8! Pretty crappy to come in at 7:30 to ge told to go orders only. You still have to make the food! Ridiculous! Guess you don't mind losing business. Charming cafe got our business tonight. read more

In the middle of a global pandemic and everyone of the wait staff either had an oversized mask allowing their mouth and nose to be exposed or they weren't wearing their masks correctly covering their noses. That was just the waitresses so I can only imagine the kitchen staff so needless to say for my first time out to this place and after making my 25 minute drive out from Houston I walked in saw that and walked right out! read more

Took the family here 45 mins before it was going to close. The staff was super friendly. The Kids all got pancakes and bacon. Wife got a burger and I got the chicken fried steak. Pancakes were great the hamburger was good and the chicken fried steak was good. All in All. Found my new breakfast place. read more

Omg! Food is awesomeness, very friendly staff, clean little place. Food is cook with love thats what i can describe it. And why after moving in highlands for two years, why its only now we know this place? My husband and I so happy to find this hidden gem. You just got to to try this place. Better than Dennys and ihop. This is our second time already here and Im so glad to find this breakfast place. Everytime we come here its just satisfaction. And they are open until 5pm. read more

Great place for breakfast!! Quick and friendly service (ask for Carolynn!!) super great price for the VERY large portions you receive. I promise you'll need a to go box! Food is excellent, my only complaint would be about the blueberry compote, LOL it's basically just pie filling! Get regular syrup for your blueberry pancakes, or try one of the other delicious toppings (like bananas foster ). I highly recommend going here! read more

I love this place. We visit the restaurant regularly and have never had a bad experience. The employees are friendly and the food is good. I have had omelettes, hamburgers, buffalo chicken sandwiches, lunch specials and have to say everything tastes good. The owner supports the community. The owner, Charlie, treats his employees like less than trash. I give him credit for being a great business man, and the food being good, but the menu is just a slightly modified version of IHOP, where he was a cook for many years. He talks to his employees like they're worthless and treats them just the same. Too bad most of them are too afraid to say anything because he's blatantly stated that he has police and judges of the city on his side and no one would believe them. He's a smooth talker when and where it counts, but isn't afraid to show his true, very dull and dark colors behind closed doors to the people that work for him. If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Nobody deserves to be treated the way that he treats them, and if you're one of the many customers that believe he's a great guy, you've just fallen victim to his charismatic words and mouth full of lies. read more

Super yummy for breakfast or brunch!!! Quantity was pretty decent as well as for price. And when they say a side salad.. it's a big side not like other stingy restaurants. The Philly cheesesteak comes with a nice dipping sauce. Grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good as well. Pancakes are more on the thicker side, but I can't complain. This place is one of the few places to eat in Crosby, it's on the 2100 Road in a small Plaza, so it's a hidden secret. We went for breakfast, the staff was super nice and very attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place. read more

They are good but the only thing that I don't like is they have phones to take orders what why don't they use a pad and a pen but all they it's pretty good I got a chocolate chip pancakes I didn't know that it with chocolate drizzle it was just drizzle from a bottle for chocolate milk but it was ok. Which I explained to them and asked for a refund to which the manager was like "It is just cheese" it's the principle of the matter. Product was paid for and expected in return. This location doesn't believe in giving people what they pay for at least the employees there. I suspect they do the shit to refund it later and pocket the money. Been here a couple times already everything it's so perfect with it the taste so good but There's this waitress I already had her twice and I don't disrespect her because I wasn't thaught that way but she kept asking me many times not just one if I was done with my meal with out me being done with the meal clearly she brought my bill way before I was done she was rude and disrespectful because I ordered chicken tenders and waffles at 7 am saying that's not what ordinary people eat at that time if I could order some else everybody else it's so good they seem happy good environment just that one flaw nothing that will make me stop going but some that could be taken care off she probably needs some more training or something dont even have to say her name if she like that am pretty sure others had the same experience read more

Had the pleasure of eating here today after finding them on the web. It is as good as it gets. Hamburgers - does the word FRESH ring a bell. It has been years since I had one this great. Onion rings rock; rolls awesome, and toasted to boot! Veggies super fresh. And the staff is beyond belief: super friendly, courteous and so very sweet and helpful. Shout out to Zahra who took such great care of us. Décor is simple and comfortable; the customers seem to genuinely love this place and I can't blame them. Live a good distance away but my friend and I both plan to return. Can't wait to try their breakfasts!! Kudos to the owner; he has created a wonderful spot. read more

My family of 6 came in Saturday to eat, wait was not bad considering the weather & how busy it was. anita was our waitress, & even though it looked like she was running around a lot, she must have had 8 or so other tabls, she was very attentive to our needs!! everything came out in a timely manner & every thing was absolutely delicious!!! will definitelty come back to try their lunch!!!! Hungry Jack is that perfect welcome home every time. We moved into the area concerned about the number of restaurants moving from big city. Boy where we mistaken. Hungry jacks has the best breakfast I have ever eaten with an owner who knows how to handle the crowd of people flocking to eat there. Move people in and out very quickly. We now have Cotie working there whom we absolutely love and we will be in more often because of wonderful Cotie! We love her happiness, attentiveness, beauty and energy! This is our families go too spot. They are so friendly and go out of their way to be sure your food was as ordered. If you have problems, they will take care of it without hesitation. Charlie is the owner and he goes above and beyond for his customers as well as Crosby!!!! Everything on the menu is spot on!!! They need to expand !!!! It is worth the wait. Came back!!! For blueberry pancakes and the perfect bacon!! And eggs over easy!!! Cooked to perfection!! Soooooo gooood!!! See y'all again soon!! My husband got the all meat omelette! Had the cinnamon crunch French toast- might have the best French I ever had in my life. Service was great- thanks Darian. Hash browns were also great. Asked loaded potatoes and my veggies to be cooked well! There fried or burnt! When I sent back my plate the 1st time the onions were raw not sautéed! Got my plate back and well I guess I pissed off the cook because this is what I got! I've been a long time customer and I'm just disappointed. read more

Crosby diner as you could say. Squished between a laundering facility and quick seafood basket. This place is great. The food is excellent and quick. Service is awesome, friendly smiling faces as early at 7am. If your looking for quality breakfast you will not be disappointed. read more

Hungry Jack is one of the best restaurants Crosbg has to offer. Never gave it a try until not long ago when I constantly heard great things about it over and over again. Your food is ALWAYS out quick and amazing. If you get the chance i would highly recommend to eat there. read more
