As with every merchant I always like to do an update with them by giving them another chance to make up for service that was below par or maybe the first time around they just had a bad day and so you always want to give them another chance. It could be the employees, the food quality, the speed of service, etc that needed tweaking. I received a response from Hungry Howies (HH) thru yelp that they wanted to make things "Right" and they requested my information such as phone, mailing address. So I am assuming they are going to send me a coupon or something in the mail. Instead what really happened was they blocked my phone number on the phone, The only way I could get thru is by using a friend's phone or call thru my work place. They also blocked my home address thru their online ordering system. So be warned when you complain to companys and they request your personal info in order to make things "Right" with you. Don't provide it or you'll be in the same boat as me. I guess the Walled Lake, MI Hungry Howies don't want my business, my money to make them profitable. Sad really. read more

Haven't had Hungry Howie's pizza in years so decided to give it a try since they had a $15 deal for 2 medium 1 topping pizzas plus howie bread. The thin crust tasted like cardboard. Very bland with 0 flavor. I couldn't even tell I was eating pizza. The hand tossed pizza also lacked any flavor. The sauce and cheese with butter cheese crust were all so bland. So disappointing. The howie bread is gross as it literally had grease and butter dripping from each stick as we picked them up to eat. Disappointed in everything ordered and expect much better quality even for a pizza place. read more

I'm not one to write reviews... ever. I am writing one to simply warn everyone to not even give this location a chance. I have ordered here numerous times and every time I think how bad could it be? It's a pizza joint. Well, time and time again the prove to be it can get worse. Tonight was the final straw. Unless you want your night ruined by order errors, dry bread, over an hour for a remake, or 15 minutes (and counting) on hold to make them aware of the situation don't bother. I see why they only get 1.5 stars on yelp. My wife called last night and the guy on the phone said they don't deliver to my area....??? Hmmmm, yet I see hungry Howie's delivery here ALL the time. We live 2.5 miles on Wixom road from this store, the other is in Walled lake, the stor in Wixom is a straight shot down the road. Apparently they can just pick and choose to who and were they deliver, when it is convenient for them... I have never ordered from this store. And guess I never will, and I am sure that the lousy star score on yelp has as much to do with the quality of the product and total lack of professionalism.... anyway I hope all kinds of people see this and read, and just don't bother with this location, apparently they don't need people's business, or even want it...!! read more

I've tried this location a few times. Every time I order door dash they forget to include my sauces/pop. Now I ordered a pizza and bread with buttered crusts, all of which came totally dry (no butter) and unappetizing. On top of it all, for some reason the pizza here just does not taste comparable to the other locations. Usually I love hungry howie's but tonight my food just wasn't up to par. Not sure if it was the employees or if it's this location but either way I was extremely disappointed in the way my pizza tasted. The crust was doughy & greasy at the same time, 0 flavor in the pizza sauce, & even though I SAW cheese I didn't taste any. I genuinely would've thought I was chewing the cardboard box the pizza came in if I had my eyes closed. I know I could've went back & complained, but after a 12 hr shift with no breaks or food you just don't have that energy & you take what you can get. Well this is the last time I will order from this location. I order through DoorDash most times and every time my food gets here it is wrong. Awful experience. The food came 30 minutes after the text said it would arrive. The pizzas weren't even cooked all the way, and the wings were cold. While reheating the food we found a long dark curly hair baked into the pizza so much that when I pulled it off it also took the pepperoni off with it. I've worked at a pizza place. I've also had the wrong food delivered from a pizza place. I just got the wrong food but they closed in 5 min when I called so didn't want to make the delivery guy come all the way back to my house so they "allegedly" gave me a credit for next time. My quandry is, if they got my food completely wrong, how do I know they put a credit in under my name? The delivery fee here is $5 freakin dollars. How much goes to the driver. Hey Hungry Howies, explain to me why you keep ?% of the delivery fee? Shouldn't the driver get the entire delivery fee? Ordered a pizza on a Wednesday night. I was nearby because I can see the Hungry Howies as I ordered, well over 2 hours later, I received my pizza. Wow, I would expect that on a busy night but not a slow weekday night. Management needs to better supervise their people or you will lose customers since Jets is nearby and much faster. I just had cheesy bread and thin crust delivered. It took about 30 minutes to arrive and was expected to be about 35 minutes. Lately the cheesy bread has had a kind of chemically after taste but this hungry howie's was perfect! The cheesy bread was very soft and tasted great. The thin crust pizza was great as well. The delivery girl was super nice too, the nicest delivery person I've had, not just from hungry howies. read more

I ordered a ceaser chicken salad. As I waited in line having to listen to the stupid girl at the cash register laugh about how the computer kept messing up and it was taking forever I though maybe I should not be getting a salad from a pizza place. After I got home I realized I was right to worry. Lame salad, very little chicken. Boring salad dressing. Wont be going back. The salad was not cheap either so I would expect better. read more
