They offered to replace it, but the service was so slow that I opted for them to take it off the bill, instead of taking off the dish, they took a portion of it off. Pretty weak sauce, imho. So, food other than my steak was good, ambience great, service very slow.

My filet mignon was really dry and chewy. Friend who got the tbone also said his was barely edible -way overcooked and very thin cut. Despite only eating at this establishment twice, I very much enjoy this restaurant. As a picky…read moreeater, I always keep it simple with chicken and fries. Let me say, the chicken they serve is top notch, crispy, good portions and perfectly delectable. May I also say the fries are delicous, you can tell they are made in house and are very crispy and I appreciate the size of each individual fry. You get 5 chicken fingers with a full plate of fries underneath and the last time I went I was so hungry I ate it all. Ughghgg literally craving it as I speak. Also it's a very affordable place if your also looking for a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend

So the visit to State and Main last week was very hit and miss…read more Starting with the hits. We ordered the Friday night cocktails ($2 off) and here we have the New York Sour and Mexican Bulldog The New York Sour was absolutely AMAZING It's made with whiskey , egg white , sour mix and red wine . Seems like an odd combo but honestly it had the perfect tart and wine taste. I was with three other guys and they all loved this drink and would recommend it to everyone! That's how good it is For the Mexican Bulldog, I personally only thought it was only OK but Mr C liked it. It's definitely picture worthy tho! The glass was biiiig with a mini corona in it! Now for the miss. The French Dip. I loooveeee beef dip at most places so I was hoping I'd love it here too but unfortunately...no. This is made with shaved Angus beef, mushrooms, onions (which I opted out), horseradish mayo & Swiss cheese with au jus. As I was eating it, I actually forgot there's mushroom in it cause I couldn't taste it at all (not sure if this is a good or bad thing?) and the au jus was just way too watered down and seemed more like a broth than the usual au jus (a thicker liquid). I did finish it all but I wasn't very satisfied with it. The side poutine, on the other hand, was actually very delish! Lotsa flavour and every without the cheese and gravy, the fries itself was enough to make the entire meal better. it did spark a discussion with our group tho - should restaurants bring ketchup with fries or should customers have to ask each time? Lemme know in the comments below! Another miss would be our server. It was Friday night so it was busier but we still expected them to put in a bit more friendly customer service. Our friend ordered his drink and wanted to order food as well but before he could, the server walked away right after the drink order. Throughout the night, we had to constantly wait for a long time to be able to make another drink order. This was probably the most disappointing part of our dinner experience. We'll still return but hopefully it'll be a better service experience.

They have friendly, relaxed staff and that makes me friendly and relaxed too, and really adds to my enjoyment. The food is good, nice toasted burger buns, fries always cooked to order and served sizzling hot, their clubhouse is always fresh and well put together. It's like stepping back in time there. It reminds me of what the Broadway Cafe was over twenty years ago before that big renovation that destroyed all the charm. 5 enthusiastic stars for the wonderful Park Cafe!

We shared the Bruschetta (my husband thought it was the best he'd ever had) and each ordered a different pasta dish so we could try one another's. I had the Tagliatelle Alla Marinara - it was loaded with seafood, the white wine cream sauce had layers of flavours and those fresh noodles were top notch! My husband had the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese that was equally delicious! Both meals were huge servings, so we ate as much as we could and took the rest home to finish up for supper the next evening! Our server, Madison, was just a joy to deal with. Thank you for a terrific night, my first time in Saskatchewan :)

We didn't have a reservation but he was very clear on the amount of wait times. Asked us to sit and we were seated quite quickly. Food is decent but not amazing. Insalata di Cesare could use more garlic. While the Capelli d'Angelo con Gamberi has only a few shrimps for the price.

I asked for the leanest and rarest piece they had, and it was perfect. Their horseradish is a great accompaniment, as was the twice baked potato. We started with the crab cakes, which were perfectly cooked and very tasty as well (no pics as we were starving and dug in before I remembered). Unfortunately, we were too full for desert, but they also looked delicious. Our server, Davis, was professional and helpful, the meal courses were perfectly timed, and though the restaurant was very busy, it was not so loud that we couldn't easily have a conversation. I'm so glad we picked Hearth among 4 places in the downtown area. We walked up around 15:00 without a reservation on Sunday. Since our table was at one end of the patio, it was a great spot to people watch too. Everyone from the hostess and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We placed our orders quickly even though there were quick a few good options on the brunch menu. I had a traditional breakfast and a Saskatoon berry lemonade and my husband ordered yogurt & granola and a long black. When he had told me he would be getting a long black, I had to do a double take in the menu and there it was. I could count with one hand how many places in western Canada I had been to with long black or café allongé on the menu. I was impressed and he said it was very good too. My breakfast was scrumptious with 2 thick pieces of sour dough toasts, 2 plump sausage patties, 2 perfectly fried (with brown edges) sunny side up eggs and crispy and soft potatoes! I ate very slowly to enjoy every bite with my refreshing lemonade on the beautiful patio in a warm & sunny late Sunday afternoon.
