My wife & I popped into this hall. They are 31 beers on tap. Extremely busy. Lots of people. Initially service was slow, once a waitress realized we had not been served; she came over; was very friendly & good service. The food was good. I picked this restaurant purely based on location to where I was staying and nothing more. Sometimes, an accidental stumble into ends up working out. Plenty of seating & friendly service. I opted for the starter Cesar salad & chicken wings. Instead of an anchovies based dressing, it was their own homemade with a bit of a kick, which was surprisingly very good. I was really into the buffalo ranch sauce that I chose for the wings (though you do get about 6-10 sauce choices). The ranch was on point as well, so no bad food here! I had an early supper this evening at Cathedral Social Hall ... I'd been there when I was in Saskatoon last year and liked it. I love love love pizza and ordered a chorizo + portobello pizza (minus the portobellos!). It was a good pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. Food and service was great day one, so we decided to stop for a beer on day 2 since it was next door. Quintin was a phenomenal bartender. I cannot say enough good things about our service. Just a middle of the road Pub that has a great downtown Saskatoon location. Has a fantastic patio across from a park. I had the BBQ'ed Sandwich with a side salad. Did I mentioned how much I hate paying for food that taste worse than mine?? I just got take out from Cathedral Social Hall but I couldn't believe they were charging $18 for this dish?! I got the tuna poke and it was literally plain rice, chopped carrots, cucumbers and tasteless little pieces of cubed tuna. It was honestly the most unappetizing dish I ever seen and ate. There was a squirt of side of mayo and hot sauce, no sign of ponzu sauce. I'm very disappointed with the food, the décor is great its unfortunate. read more

I regularly visit the the Cathedral Social Hall in Regina. I love the food, service and atmosphere but I will not be back to the Saskatoon location. it was a disappointing start to Mother's Day. It was not too busy and they were not understaffed, however we were at our table on the patio for more than 10 minutes before someone took our drink order. Over 15 minutes passed after we received our drinks before another server had to find our server to get our brunch order. An hour later we still had not received our order. Our server was quick to blame the kitchen for the delay and I would have believed her if she hadn't fully served another table that sat down at least 20 minutes after us. read more

Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives. Our waitress was kind and helpful and the drinks decent. Great location too. The food was not even edible. Here for lunch with a client. This placed opened 2 months ago. Even my cab driver didn't know where it was. Great location. Attached to the Sheraton hotel and across the street from the Bess hotel. Great patio space. Service was decent. Our server checked on us numerous times as we got caught up in conversation and we eventually ordered after 2 rounds of drinks. She was pleasantly patient. However the food took forever to arrive. I saw at least 2 tables leave because it took too long. I would have too if I didn't have the afternoon open. Apparently one of the cooks didn't show up so they were scrambling I ordered the chorizo and portobello pizza. It was okay but the pizza must have been sitting for awhile before it got to me because the cheese had already solidify but I was too hungry and didn't send it back. Came with a nice little salad. My guests order the meathead pizza and the fish tacos. They said it was okay. Good selection of beers on tap. They also have drink specials after 5pm. Pizza and salad on special from Monday to Friday for $12 or $15 I can't remember. Considering pizzas can be $18, this is twisting my rubber arm. read more

We started later but the staff have been directed where are simply lazy and sad at 11 o'clock we stop serving alcohol however provincial regulations says 2:30. I can't recommend this place enough. The beer selection was great (30 options on tap). The food was the stand-out (at least for me). I had the BBQ Chicken Club. I was impressed by the freshness of the vegetables on the sandwich, and also by the marble rye bread. However, the most notable thing about this sandwich was the sauce. It was so smoky and spicy. I made a comment to our server about it and was impressed to learn that they make all their sauces and dressings in-house. Among the available side options, I chose the Caesar salad, which also had an impressively smoky dressing. Another member in my group had perogies and kobasa. The kobasa is from a local supplier, and I suspect the perogies may have been also because they did not have the thick, doughiness that you often find with mass-produced perogies. Our server was very attentive, helpful and efficient in doing her job. Overall, we were very pleased with our visit to CS Hall. read more

Yep, this place is only okay. Went there for an evening bite and it was about half capacity on a Friday night downtown (hmmm). I ordered a veggie burger and asked for no sauce because of an allergy, but it still came with the sauce. The food was fine but a bit pricey for what it is - super basic, plain pub food.
