This place was actually such a great find! I was here with my boyfriend and it was literally the only place open on Labour Day. But it was surprisingly AWESOME. We thought we were just going to a typical pub for dinner. But the food was awesome. Like so amazing. We had the Chicken Supreme and the Crepes. Both were absolutely delectable. We put the first bites in our mouths and it was unreal. Like so amazing. I would go here for the food alone, drinks aren't even necessary. Great place! Would return ASAP!

The quality of the food and the impeccable service I discovered at this gastropub makes me want to revisit past reviews and give them a lower star rating, for this has set the bar that much higher. I ordered the chickpea lentil burger with fries, a pale ale, and several pickleback shots. And every single component of my meal was exceptionally executed. As soon as I bit into the pickle spear that came with the burger, something which is normally a tiny and unnoticed addition to the plate, I was able to conclude that this entire meal, down to its nitty gritty ingredients, was made from scratch and fresh. I immediately ordered a shot of whiskey and pickle juice to get begin the night, and I was pleasantly surprised, but not shocked. The pickle juice itself packed this awesome spicy punch along with strong pickle notes, but not overdone. More like well done. The entire meal is already so memorable, I'm wondering whether I'll try something new on my second-go or stick with what I had. Well, I know one thing for sure: I will certainly be revisiting this place when back in town.

Yes, that really is lentil cream ale on tap.

This is a gem of a pub. The atmosphere is convivial and welcoming, with a good crowd on a Saturday. Music was not overly loud, thank heavens. 20 different beers on draft, including a first for me--a cream ale made from lentils. (!) There was a nice mix of local craft beers and an extensive group of spirits as well. I wasn't super hungry, so I had a bowl of the soup of the day: a prosciutto parsnip and mushroom soup. It was, in a word, divine. Cream based, but with an excellent, subtle flavor. It was paired with a soft toasted buttered bread that was perfect for dipping. I'd come back to explore more of the menu, but all that I had was excellent.

Bone marrow. Beautiful presentation but barely there marrow

Really nice neighbourhood bistro. Nice carefully considered menu well executed. I'd come back on a summer or winter evening even solo.

Horrible. Steak was tough. Service shoddy and they add a gratuity for their terrible service. Never again.

This place kicks ass. They say that misery loves company... and I really wouldn't know, nor would…read morethe rest of the bar patrons. The vibe is great, the food is qual', and the drinks are a'flowin! I popped in for a night cap (or should I say day-cap?) after receiving some pretty awful news; the judge is revoking my supervised child visitation rights. Those kids need a father, and "Josh" or whatever sure as hell ain't man enough to teach em about the cold reality of the real world. The guy grew up rich and has no idea what's going on. He wouldn't even fight me in the parking lot of Specklebelly's this morning after he picked up the kids. Maggie is going to come crawling back to me any day now, once she realizes what a chump Josh is. I just miss my kids Anyways, the blonde bartended dude, I think his name is Ryan, is totally legit. He got me real good and tanked. I was eating cheeseburgers, I was doing belly shots (which is kind of their thing, hence the name Specklebelly's, although in this case the speckles were vomit, shout out to Kevin!), at one point I did a keg stand. A random dude brought in a piñata and we got him super drunk. Kevin disappeared and I was like "where the fuck is Kevin?" and then he came out of the bathroom wearing a wedding dress! I was like "what the fuck!!!" I was laughing my ass off. They did last call at a legally appropriate time, but that sure as shit didn't stop the party. I was super impressed by the level of finesse executed by Ryan when he wouldn't let me drive home. He told me he'd arm wrestle me for my keys. I knew I probably wouldn't win because Ryan is totally yoked out, like he might even be on steroids, which would certainly explain his anger problems and his extremely short fuse. He went pretty easy on me when we were armwrestling, almost letting me think for a second I was going to win and be able to drive home, but then SLAM! He took my keys and wouldn't let me drive. For a minute I was pissed, but then Kevin reminded me that I'm on probation for some shit that went down a while back. It was November of 2003 and I was going through a rough time. The Saskatoon Blades, my favorite hockey team, had just lost the championship. And Maggie was pregnant with out first child, Walter (Shout out to Walter!). We were in the parking lot outside of the SaskTel Centre arena and I was totally losing my shit. I put her in a headlock, but one of those fake headlocks where you give somebody a noogie, it was funny, we were laughing. There was an undercover cop in the parking lot who was a Moose Jaw Warriors fan and he felt like showing off or something so he sprayed pepper spray in my face. That's why I'm on probation. Anyways, I fucking love Specklebelly's. Thanks for the good times!

What a great dive bar and even better food! Such a cool, eclectic vibe…read more We made a brief stop in town, and this place was recommended to us by one of the locals, and wow she was spot on. Despite serving just "bar food" everything was really delicious and flavorful. We came for happy hour which had a great selection of food and drinks, in which we had the pierogis and also ordered the poutine because being American we just can't pass that up as we don't get that back home. We also ordered the cheeseburger which was excellent! They have rotating food and drink specials which is cool concept. Service was awesome, there was just one girl working the bar and tables and dang did she crush it! Final review: 5/5 stars

I mean Costco poutine is 1000X better than that. I ordered chicken finger and got the poutine upgrade. the meal was $18.50 and they charged an extra $5.50 for the upgrade. I could t even eat it, it was soo disappointing . the beer and the Caesar were good, but hey, low bar. the two of us- $76.00 total. the wait staff were friendly, but the place is full of 20 year old guys. NOT going back there again.
