The outside is great! Plastic chairs and plastic cups keep you from feeling too classy in this rooftop paradise. they've done it well with white fencing, umbrellas, and hanging baskets. The aerosal can of Raid bugspray is concerning me about my eating surface. Though I must admit it's working, the bugs aren't too bad. But seriously kids, put the can out of sight when you're done. My waitress seems too have a lot of tables but it's not stopping her straight hair and vintage top from giving her a broadway/hipster/indie flair. A young waitress always worries me that she won't know her draft beer list well. This one kept it real, recommending a traditional pale ale with my soup and burger. Beer just arrived, it's not cold, perhaps intentional for this brew? I won't let it upset my evening. The beer is excellent, perhaps made better by the sunset it's currently paired with. Chorizo split pea soup comes up first. I was told it's not spicy despite having chorizo in the name. It's amazing, I'm actually shoveling it down. A thick purée with great chorizo chunks. It's not spicy like my beer is gone already, no it's spicy like my mouth is left with a tingle. A tingle for just a little bit more. My entree is a local raised elk burger. Yes elk. It comes with grilled onions and Brie. I've omitted the mayonnaise. Ok I don't know what elk is supposed to be like but this is really good! It blows ground beef away. Not sure if I'll be able to order anything else when I come back next week. A wonderful surprise on my side salad. A sun dried tomato vinaigrette! Delicious. This is the type of place to which you want to live next door. 4 stars easily. Maybe 4.5 Well I'm very pleased with good food on the rooftop (top of the world- tonight -tonight).

Great burgers, a good selection of beer on tap and a rooftop terrace to enjoy the sun, what more can you want from a pub? Being new to this country we didn't really know anything about Canadian beers, but our waitress was happy to help out with tips and descriptions and a pint of Original 16, which was just what the doctor ordered. The food was equally good: The elk burger with camembert cheese was really tasty (if slightly more cooked than I like a burger), the bison burger was a tad heavy on the barbecue sauce, but otherwise very nice too, and the fries were lovely and crispy. In all, a thoroughly pleasant evening.

    What to look for :)

Saskatoon's best pub. Great food and beer. Awesome wings on Tuesday. Fantastic roof top patio in the summer.

Quaint, warm, and inviting atmosphere for locals to go and swallow a pint of their most delicious beverage.

My boys and I love their Greek chicken bites with poutine and a side salad. Very tasty.

I've yet to have a bad meal here. My only complaint is that it can get quite loud if it's busy.

This place kicks ass. They say that misery loves company... and I really wouldn't know, nor would…read morethe rest of the bar patrons. The vibe is great, the food is qual', and the drinks are a'flowin! I popped in for a night cap (or should I say day-cap?) after receiving some pretty awful news; the judge is revoking my supervised child visitation rights. Those kids need a father, and "Josh" or whatever sure as hell ain't man enough to teach em about the cold reality of the real world. The guy grew up rich and has no idea what's going on. He wouldn't even fight me in the parking lot of Specklebelly's this morning after he picked up the kids. Maggie is going to come crawling back to me any day now, once she realizes what a chump Josh is. I just miss my kids Anyways, the blonde bartended dude, I think his name is Ryan, is totally legit. He got me real good and tanked. I was eating cheeseburgers, I was doing belly shots (which is kind of their thing, hence the name Specklebelly's, although in this case the speckles were vomit, shout out to Kevin!), at one point I did a keg stand. A random dude brought in a piñata and we got him super drunk. Kevin disappeared and I was like "where the fuck is Kevin?" and then he came out of the bathroom wearing a wedding dress! I was like "what the fuck!!!" I was laughing my ass off. They did last call at a legally appropriate time, but that sure as shit didn't stop the party. I was super impressed by the level of finesse executed by Ryan when he wouldn't let me drive home. He told me he'd arm wrestle me for my keys. I knew I probably wouldn't win because Ryan is totally yoked out, like he might even be on steroids, which would certainly explain his anger problems and his extremely short fuse. He went pretty easy on me when we were armwrestling, almost letting me think for a second I was going to win and be able to drive home, but then SLAM! He took my keys and wouldn't let me drive. For a minute I was pissed, but then Kevin reminded me that I'm on probation for some shit that went down a while back. It was November of 2003 and I was going through a rough time. The Saskatoon Blades, my favorite hockey team, had just lost the championship. And Maggie was pregnant with out first child, Walter (Shout out to Walter!). We were in the parking lot outside of the SaskTel Centre arena and I was totally losing my shit. I put her in a headlock, but one of those fake headlocks where you give somebody a noogie, it was funny, we were laughing. There was an undercover cop in the parking lot who was a Moose Jaw Warriors fan and he felt like showing off or something so he sprayed pepper spray in my face. That's why I'm on probation. Anyways, I fucking love Specklebelly's. Thanks for the good times!

What a great dive bar and even better food! Such a cool, eclectic vibe…read more We made a brief stop in town, and this place was recommended to us by one of the locals, and wow she was spot on. Despite serving just "bar food" everything was really delicious and flavorful. We came for happy hour which had a great selection of food and drinks, in which we had the pierogis and also ordered the poutine because being American we just can't pass that up as we don't get that back home. We also ordered the cheeseburger which was excellent! They have rotating food and drink specials which is cool concept. Service was awesome, there was just one girl working the bar and tables and dang did she crush it! Final review: 5/5 stars

I mean Costco poutine is 1000X better than that. I ordered chicken finger and got the poutine upgrade. the meal was $18.50 and they charged an extra $5.50 for the upgrade. I could t even eat it, it was soo disappointing . the beer and the Caesar were good, but hey, low bar. the two of us- $76.00 total. the wait staff were friendly, but the place is full of 20 year old guys. NOT going back there again.
