My water glass had lipstick on it but the waitress fixed it right away. We ordered a Feenie Burger, Garden Burger, Chicken Red Thai Curry and Avocado Kale Salad. The waitress bought us dessert as a nice gesture perhaps to makeup for the lipstick? Or she did ask if we were celebrating anything. Busy place with a big dining room With mostly booth sitting, a lounge, and an outdoor patio. Possibly the best place to eat a nice meal with good service in this city. Very attentive staff. We started out with one each of the non-alcoholic cocktails, and they were delightful. We had the crunchy prawn roll which was served with the usual accoutrements. The prawn on top was still hot, making for a nice surprise. The four mushroom steak was delicious and a little on the salty side. We upped the order with a cut of filet instead of Sirloin. They got the medium rare part just right. Topped off with the raspberry cheesecake for dessert. A pleasant experience. There is a free parking lot next to the restaurant. Came here for my bday dinner and had a lovely time! They were fairly busy as it was Friday night but we got lucky and managed to get a table. The host did mention we would have to leave by a certain time since they have reservations but they never pressured us to leave nearing that time so that was nice! For appetizer, my boyfriend and I shared the mini crispy chicken sandwiches. These were deeelish! It was the perfect appetizer as we were waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. Chicken was nice and crispy! Continuing on with the burgers, I got the cheddar bacon burger as my main. You'd think it might be too much "burger" for one night but I absolutely loved the cheddar bacon and so glad I got it. The portion, sauce, everything was just right for me. Cactus club is a personal fav, everyone I have been to has been good and this one is no execption. So it was crazy busy because of a conference in the city but they got 4 of us at the bar and it actually wasnt bad. The service of course was fast and friendly. The menu was standard but the hunter chicken, creole chicken and pasta were all awesome. They had a great drink menu. Of course it is the cactus club so it had a hip vibe. It isnt cheap though! For dinner, we had: - Creole Chicken with Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes - Chicken Pesto Quesadillas - butternut Squash Ravioli topped with Shrimp - Truffle Fries We really enjoyed it all. So excited to finally try this location! I've heard great things about it. I really enjoyed my lunch here on Wednesday afternoon in the lounge. It wasn't too busy so we got served really quickly. We had the fajitas and the chicken quesadillas (Mexican cravings) and were really happy. The best part of my lunch was the peanut butter crunch bar dessert. Why is it so amazing? It's literally heaven and half crunchy half soft. I love it. The place is decorated really nicely. Nice and bright with the bar in the centre. Cool layout. Our service was great. Typically found in the western areas of Canada, Cactus Club is a chain like no other. The first Cactus Club I visited was a couple months back on the bank of the river in Kelowna B.C. I was amazed then, as I am now at the high level of service, amazing bar, and the expertly prepared food, all at extremely reasonable prices. I've never seen a chain that shows such attention to detail as Cactus Club. My colleague and I agreed that if we could, we would have dined with them on a daily basis. read more

What a great spot located conveniently next to midtown mall! This place oozes ambiance and style with heating lamps around the outside. Upon entry we were greeted and seated right away! There was a large showcase of wine from floor to ceiling which was impressive. The staffs energy was positive and the music made it a lively atmosphere. Most of the seating is booth style. There is seating for outside but obviously cold as Saskatoon is frozen AF in November lol (it is -35 with windchill today) We arrived for the end of happy hour. The waiter was very nice and let us order two drinks each for $5 per drink! What a bargain! He offered/suggested two of their newer created drinks. Both were sweet but delicious. We ordered appetizers, calamari and a chicken lettuce wrap the waiter also suggested - an interactive experience he said, a must try!. The lettuce wraps were the best for me the entire night! Chicken was tender and flavourful and the sauces went well with the peanuts and cilantro topped creation. Well presented and piping hot. The calamari was ok, fried from frozen. Nothing special, it just had TOO much jalapeños and sweet peppers. I would actually say that there were more peppers than calamari in the dish. I would suggest calling it fried peppers with some calamari. Would have been a better description at minimal. For our mains I got the spaghetti as the waiter mentioned it was great (the waiter was great for those who are indecisive!) my partner got the pineapple beef rib served with mashed potatoes and peas. The spaghetti was ok, the Kobe beef balls were good but I thought it was lacking flavour. I am glad it was not over salted however I thought with the beautiful presentation; it would have tasted better than it did! The Kobe balls were moist and tender described by the waiter but the angel hair pasta with dry with cheese melted on top and ricotta dollop in the middle of the plate just was lack lustre. I get what they were going, a dish that you can mix together as it was deconstructed - but the flavours did not work for me. Maybe more flavouring of the entire dish would have made it better? I did try the beef rib and it was tender and better of the two dishes. The peas were very well done and tasted amazing! Overall I enjoyed this place and the service and suggestions were solid. I've eaten here several times since they opened. Every single time I get the uncontrollable sprays, like the kind where by the end it's like your guts are being rung out like an old dish towel. They do however have the most private bathrooms if you find yourself in that situation so I will give them 3 stars for that. It is a trendy happening spot for drinks but I would only eat here if you're looking for a cleanse like experience for your colon. read more

If I am being honest, and this is Yelp. So we are all being MORE than honest. The best way to describe cactus club is that it is dependable. Yes, they do mess things up as all restaurants do. However, very rarely do things go wacky here and that's why we like it. Can we all just agree that when it's not happy hour, things are likely over priced but you're paying for that dependability. You know you're unlikely to have a bad time if you go here. Also food in general is just expensive. So I've had it with the cop-out reviews that things are too expensive.
