Always dependable. Service and food. My issue today was the predatory elderly male that befriended the off work staff member, fed him drinks and encouraged him to go off on his job and trash his coworkers. Between their chain smoking and greasy behaviour it ruined my evening. read more

Earl's is always a reliable choice. Reasonably priced for what you get and there's a variety of great choices. However, I will steer you away from their steaks. I had one last Thursday and it was bang-on medium rare as ordered, tasty too. Sadly I could tell that MSG (or some such glutamate) plays a significant role in their seasoning. Steak will get an almost powdery texture when "tenderized" using a glutamate seasoning. I realize MSG is a flavour enhancer but it destroyed the texture of my sirloin. read more

Great plant-based options but I wish they would be more considerate of what's plant-based/vegan or not on the plant-based menu especially if they label it "Vegan". The Vegan Tempura Shroomami Bowl comes with non-vegan mayonnaise on it and we were not informed of this unfortunately! Other than that the plant-based options are fantastic and the service is great! We especially enjoyed the Crispy Tofu Sushi Tacos, just make sure to get those w/o the spicy mayo as well if you follow a plant-based diet! read more

If you've been to an Earl's before then this one will be much like you would expect. Modern interior with booths and a big bar you can eat at or just get your cocktail on at. I had the Spicy Black Bean Soup which was recommended and was definitely tasty. To go with it I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich that was just the right size. Maybe it's because I'm American, but when I go to chain places I usually expect superhuman sized portions but the sandwich was not too big but also filling. Good stuff! read more

Having not been to Earls for a few months I didn't realize how much it changed. My first clue should have been the 3$ appetizers and drinks. They're advertising and providing rock-bottom food and drink to get people in the door. The usual quality wasn't there at all! We ordered burgers off the 9$ appetizer menus and to call them sparse would be overstating it! Manbe a small side of fries could be added? The only decent drinks we had were beer. The Moscow mule came in a tall glass and didn't taste anything like ginger. The pitcher of white sangria was watered down and only had a couple slices of canned peaches. I used to love this this place, but now there are so many other great restaurants in Saskatoon that I'll stay away. read more

Overall it's ok! I can't see the draw for the most part. Not anything I would go out of my way for. They have a nice patio. And for that, I commend them. However, some garden vines do not distract from the lack of wow factor. I I feel neither here nor there about earls. It never ceases to amaze me how Earl's it "the place to be" in Saskatoon. In other citis I've lived in it's simply just a restaurant/lounge, but in Saskatoon it is held in higher esteem. Weird. That being said, the menu is a typical Earl's menu, as is the decor. It can be tough to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night, especially if you have a big group. So be prepared for a bit of a wait. Everytime I've eaten here the food has been good. Of course it has the typical Earl's waitresses that are mostly blonde that have a certain body type that wear tight clothing, so if you are a dude I guess that would be a plus. Personally as a woman I wonder why we can't have hot waiters to go with the waitresses. But maybe that has just been the nights I've been there. read more

Earl's is one of my 'must stop' places when I visit Saskatoon. It's got a great vibe. Overall, people just seem to be happy here. It's modern, has a good menu and I love the fact that it is in a renovated bread factory. It's a bonus that they have always had a great out door seating area for as long I can remember. It's a great place to enjoy a salad or appetizers and cocktails during the warmer months. It's where I had my first strawberry pina colada based on a recommendation from the waiter. read more

Its one of my favorite restaurant in Saskatoon. Huge protion and tasty food. We had a local Saskatoon beer Albino rhino - the light lager and brewery berry dark ale；I can't drink much but still finished a cup，fresh and fruity. The Kale salad was awesome，variety of ingredients around 10 items；really tasty pork ribs served with saute potatoes and coleslaw salad. I've always liked this Earls.Food has been consistently good to great and service has been above average.Decor is awesome as is the patio and lounge.I love the tuna rolls on the appetizer menu.Often have it for lunch.Friends have had the chicken tacos which they rave about.Soup of the day with the rosemary bread is always a fav. I love Earl's. I love the food, their approach to classics, and that the menu quality is consistent across locations. The Saskatoon version is the most successful across Canada (maybe because cool patios with atmosphere are rare in town), and waiting for a table on the leafy and warm patio is well worth the painful wait in the lounge. Let's just say that we had to hunt down our own cocktail menu and waited ages for much needed refills, particularly with an hour wait to sit on said patio. Booo. Margarita pizza was crispy, with just the right amount of cheese and tangy sauce. My meal salad was a seasonal offering - with beets, mesclun greens, and parmesan crusted chicken. It was superb - all the salads are - but this one really hit the spot. Our server was up on his wine and kept our glasses topped up. Sounds like a boozy dinner doesn't it? Meh...underwhelming. One page menu...nothing special. I had the fish tacos but they forgot the feta on top so they were fairly bland. Also did not include even a whole fish-stick between the two of them for $15. The fries were tasty but also chintzy. My companions had sandwiches/soup which they reported were good. One had a curry which was quite generous. Service was good but I can see why it's half empty during a weekend lunch service. read more

The bartenders were very friendly and helpful with my choices. I had a Peach Bellini that was so tasty I had to order two. The Mediterranean Calamari was also the best calamari I have ever had! Highly suggest it! Great atmosphere even if the only thing on all of the TV's was hockey. read more
