    Trout and beet tartare

Nice stop on our way through Saskatoon, which was recommended to us by a local we met in town. The name "Hearth" is really a perfect description for the food. Menu is small, which is always best, and is divided into small, medium and large plates. To start we had their signature mushroom dish as well as the trout and beet tartare. Both were excellent, but really the mushroom dish was out of this world! Can't miss that when ordering. We also had the stuffed pasta and carrot dish both of which were very flavorful. Any time a vegetable is a main you know it's going to be good. And to finish we had the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious! Final review: 5/5, great atmosphere and even tastier food!

What more need be said about such a beautifully cultivated experience. The pictures coming from so many who eat here show why such a perfect arrangement of talents exists within a museum of fine art. Hearth fits right at home from top to bottom in this wonderful celebration of expression culminating in something that has every right to be celebrated and viewed beyond the sum of its parts. To be looked at as a whole as an achievement in something so often tried but as always so uniquely executed. This is art.

Two of us came in for supper on a snowy Saturday night based upon the Yelp reviews. It was nice to see a busy restaurant. We ordered two dishes to share; Stuffed Pasta: roasted squash & ricotta caramelle with corn, brown butter and herbs, and a Butter Poached Pike; northern pike poached in smoked butter with tempura pike quenelle, beluga lentils and beets. The dishes were excellent, tasty and beautifully cooked. Our server was excellent and made sure we had everything. The restaurant decor could have been better and the seats were rock hard, which detracted from an excellent meal.

First of all, Fantastic services! We went there for lunch drink at dinner and the two waitresses we had were friendly and sweet. Ambiance of an upscaled modern restaurant, and they did it nicely. Food and drinks were spectacular; locals at the hotel we stayed at say they are one of top 100 restaurant in Canada; yes they should be. Food is light and has great complexity to it; coming back to try other stuffs.

This was a highlight of my first visit to Saskatoon - and they did not disappoint at all! A simple menu celebrating the main ingredients in a farm-to-table style, Hearth has a slow-moving menu that is sure to bring comfort and delight to every palate and diet. We went with the tasting menu - the easiest and best choice for a larger group so long as you all eat pretty much anything (few dietary restrictions). We had some food sensitivities at the table that were easily accommodated with each course at no extra cost - a great service that ensured everyone enjoyed the meal thoroughly. There's also wine pairings to go with the menu - highly recommend for a full experience, so long as you're not driving! The mushrooms were a complete standout - cheesy and aromatic, served in a small skillet to go with slices of crispy bread. The mix of mushrooms may not taste distinct but the combination makes for a full mushroomy and comforting experience. The ravioli (for us it was ricotta filled) was also very notable with the fresh egg pasta served at the perfect al dente texture. From others in my party I heard in the fall it may be squash filled, which would make for a great sweet and savoury contrast. Service was attentive and quickly observed our sharing habits to accommodate the table, and had just the right amount of flexibility and attention to give us our very own experience while catering to the rest of the floor. The restaurant was not too dim - though definitely on the moodier side as lighting goes. I'd be very interested to return in the summer to see how the menu changes with the seasons!

My favourite restaurant in Saskatoon, hands down. It's the best place to bring friends and family who are visiting from out of town. The service and ambience is warm, and the food is the shining star. Big, hearty portions, intentional ingredients, perfect flavours and impeccable delivery. You can't leave here without trying the cheddar crueller!!

This restaurant is a gem and an absolute pleasure to have in our city. I came for the first time for a casual but nice dinner with a friend, and it was absolutely perfect. Sitting humbly on what appears to be a residential street corner, it is absolutely worth driving out to pay this place a visit. Service was appropriate for a busy Friday night dinner service; we made a reservation easily through open table, and we were seated quickly. It was a slight wait for our server to attend to us, but we otherwise enjoyed prompt service the remainder of the night. Decor was pleasant; classy but humble. The food is farm to table themed, and is reminiscent of similarly themed restaurants in Saskatoon (Primal, The Hollows) as well as elsewhere (Fable in Vancouver, Pigeonhole in Calgary). With fresh earthy ingredients, there was not one element I didn't enjoy. We started with the wild and cultivated mushroom appetizer which was stunning: a beautifully presented collection of mushrooms swimming in smooth white melted cheese, along with a side of crusty bread for dipping. Both filling and satisfying. For the main, I had the pork belly, and it was absolutely outstanding: soft, moist, and with just the right touch of crispy crackling. The spaetzle with sun-dried tomatoes was a wonderful backdrop. Pricing ran around $50-60 for an appetizer, main, and a drink. Truly an outstanding experience, and well worth the price. I'm already excited for my next visit, and all the people I plan to share this place with.

We…read morehadn't been here before, and our waiter really knew the menu well and was able to give some recommendations, which we appreciated. Friendly and welcoming staff. We booked in advance and they checked in with our party beforehand, so we were able to let them know about an allergy concern. The staff handled that information better than so many other restaurants we've frequented. Allergies can be a serious concern for a lot of people, and having staff who handle those requests seriously in turn shows an appreciation for their customers. Kudos. The food we were served was excellent, across the board. The pasta was fresh, and the quality of their ingredients and skillful preparation made for a satisfying, flavourful meal. Also worth mentioning, they have a varied drink menu with lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to complement your meal. If I absolutely have to complain about something to be unbiased... Price-wise, well, it's not the Ol' Spaghetti Factory, but you're paying marginally more for quality - ingredients, selection, service - and you're getting it. So, priced appropriately, I would say. Music might have been a bit loud for my liking, but my likings are particular and it was admittedly appropriate for the atmosphere. *If you're weirded out by seeing people experiencing poverty and the related effects of social disorder, understand that it is located on 20th street. If the reality of the human condition freaks you out, maybe go have a plain waffle in Brighton or whatever. Weirdo.

I started with the house baked focaccia bread and went onto my main course rigatoni, goat cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, greens, truffle oil which they were kind enough to add chicken to. Absolutely delicious. I don't normally do desert but the promise of home made Butterscotch Budino Oh my... what a happy accident to dine here... fantastic Great music and ambience too...
