They are hopping busy but so friendly and willing to explain the menu item. The owners are all about locally sourcing the food so the perogies and sausages are handmade in the province! And they are passionate about making good food - there is nothing bad on the menu. The vibe is an upscale diner. Easy going and somewhere you will want to come back to. Perhaps in the afternoon to have a coffee and a homemade daily special donut??? Didn't get one of those this time.... Guess I know where I'll be stopping on my next trip to the city!

It was busy on the patio but we were able to score a table in the shade over looking South Saskatchewan River and the promenade. We placed our orders quickly even though there were quick a few good options on the brunch menu. I had a traditional breakfast and a Saskatoon berry lemonade and my husband ordered yogurt & granola and a long black. When he had told me he would be getting a long black, I had to do a double take in the menu and there it was. I could count with one hand how many places in western Canada I had been to with long black or café allongé on the menu. I was impressed and he said it was very good too. My breakfast was scrumptious with 2 thick pieces of sour dough toasts, 2 plump sausage patties, 2 perfectly fried (with brown edges) sunny side up eggs and crispy and soft potatoes!
