I had the pleasure of eating here for my birthday on the weekend. It was my first visit and I have to say, the wait was worth it. Food was absolutely delicious, good presentation and reasonably priced for the portion. Their juice was fresh and satisfying to drink. The atmosphere was interesting, but almost too crowded. It was so loud I couldn't hear the person at my own table very well. Staff was friendly and on top of offering refills. Be prepared to wait a while to get in. Perhaps going during the week will reduce the noise and crowd, but I do plan on returning again! read more

Food and service was great. Finding the doors to get in place could be better marked.

We waited over an hour and a half for a table via yelp. When we arrived we were seated quickly and were immediately greeted by our server Maddy. Our order was taken and came out quickly. We had one refill of coffee. A manager / supervisor (??) came over the instant we put down our forks and grabbed our plates and asked if our bill was together or separate. That was the entire conversation. Moments later another server stood at our table with the interact machine. He didn't say anything just stood there with the machine in his hand. We had to take it from his hand so we could pay. 37 minutes from the time we arrived until the time we felt forced to leave. Didn't realize that ORB was fast food, but I guess you don't want anyone to actually enjoy their meal. Food was OK, but we won't be back...not because of Maddy, our server, she did a great job- pleasant and attentive, but because of her supervisor/ manager and the other server who stood at the table wanting us to pay. No one asked if we wanted anything else or if everything was ok. They obviously don't care to know. read more

Very sad to write negative review , although is important to make the owner and costumer aware that expensive breakfast not always good breakfast. Make this short : ordered threesome with egg white , this happen exactly in EDMONTON was saturated with oil I even mentioned to waitress . Replaced it in a small plate my main plate was very oily which all my food got oily which I did not enjoy after spending $ 65.00 for two people breakfast. No compensation or discount . Loved this place! I'm a breakfast person. We headed over referred by a Canadian friend while visiting Saskatoon. Wow! Not a fancy place just simple, and such a unique menu with incredible food! The service too was excellent. I really enjoyed the servers recommendations and conversation. I ordered the lobster and shrimp crepe, excellent. My wife the chia pudding. She really enjoyed that. This place gets busy so make sure to get on the waitlist using the yelp app. The location is great and near the river. They have large windows so there's lots of natural lighting. Ordered the mimosa flight which wasn't anything special but gives you a chance to try all their flavors. I also one mango mimosa. I tried their truffle squash Benny which I highly recommend. I wouldn't get the banana nut French toast again. The toast part was too chewy for me. I went here on Mother's Day, however it wasn't super busy. I waited 30 minutes for my food. read more

You need to improve your reservation system . We checked in online then in person when we got there. The hostess said it will only be a couple minutes then 35 min later after letting in many people I went back up to her and asked why so long and why weren't we offered a seat at the bar like other people who had not even checked in. AMAZING upscale breakfast spot and very convenient if staying at Alt Hotel as it is a quick walk across the courtyard. The server was great - I was a bit overwhelmed with the huge menu and she recommended the get shorty rib poutine (which we subbed half of the potatoes with a mix of spinach and arugula) and the truffled squash eggs benny. Wow were they good and beautifully plated. I was truly shocked by how good the eggs benedict was and think it is probably the best I have ever had. It had a complex flavor profile with the smokey truffle, sweet squash, buttery flaky croissant, and melt in your mouth hollandaise sauce . The breakfast potatoes were also super crispy with great seasoning. My partner had the rib poutine and said the ribs were perfectly done and mixing in the greens was the way to go to lighten up the dish. We arrived at around 8:30 am on a Monday and had no wait but by the time we left there were quite a few people waiting outside. Great location right on the river so you can go take a walk to digest afterwards. I will 100% be coming back next time I am in Saskatoon! read more

We have been to OEB many times and typically very good food for brunch and good service. However today I ordered something different. Given their lobster poutine is loved by many thought I'd try the Crab Benny. Was terrible. Canned crab mixed with some type of sauce that tasted like tuna and extremely salty. Don't do it. read more

The place is very clean and bright, it's a great brunch location. The food choices were really good, my friend has celiac and the waitress was really helpful with informing us that the menu is 85% gluten free! I had the florentine, it was good, a bit on the cold side and tricky to eat but the flavours were good and the poached eggs were perfect. The neighbourhood is very pretty and perfect for an after meal walk. I definitely recommend trying this place out, it is very busy though so using the wait list is a must. read more

10/10 every time I'm there. Aside from the wait times(which are sometimes quite long- so get on the waitlist early lol), I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always so friendly and attentive, and the food... OMG the food... 1000/10. So good, and always so filling. High quality people, high quality atmosphere and high quality food. Just before I was ready to fly out of town, I thought I'd treat myself to a nice breakfast. It is a busy place, but I just opted to grab a counter stool instead. I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict. The dish was well plated and a good sized serving. I was very impressed with the back bacon (generous size and tasty). The eggs were cooked perfectly (medium) with yolks a deep colour, just like you'd expect if you were living at the farm. This is definitely one of the better breakfast cafes I've been to and would not hesitate to come back here again. read more

We were a group of nine people and some of us came late which was embarrassing for me sitting on the table and ordering only coffee for 50 min. but OEB staff were absolutely nice to us. The only problem I had was that they already charged me for 18% mandatory tip (as the gratitude) which I believe was for the time I was waiting for my guests. I have tried this restaurant twice now and am an incredibly disappointed given their interesting, ambitious menu. First time, I dined in, and I tried the crab benny but the crab was clearly old/spoiled. Ok, I won't be trying any seafood from this place again. Second time, I ordered delivery, it came ice-cold and missing items; not to the mention the Uber eats app forces you to take arugula salad rather than the duck fat potatoes. I want to like this place so badly but it's clearly managed poorly. If you're looking for more "elevated" breakfast dishes, you're better off going to Poached. read more

A lot of people don't know this, but OEB stands for "Old Evil Brenda". I know what you're thinking, "Old Evil Brenda? Why she died in the swamp bogs years ago and only myself and my summer camp pals know about that. We swore to keep this a secret til our deaths!!" Sadly, it's true. Brenda has survived and she's ready to kill again. However, it seems as if she's trying to re-brand her look and has opened a brunch place where young adults can eat duck with their scambled eggs and mimosas, as if doing so will smooth over the reaction to any future murder sprees. Decided to try this for breakfast on the weekend. By 9:15am the place was full and a 2 minute wait. The menu is a lot - but great options. And great food...but before I get to that... The menu: My husband is a vegetarian and seeing the words "duck fat" peppered throughout the menu was off-putting for him - there is no need to mention that so many places - and then a sign in the table telling us it's now "beef tallow", not duck fat ---too much. A simple note at bottom explaining what the home fries were fried in would suffice. Also, explaining that the gluten free potatoes were NOT fried in animal fat would be helpful- not everyone bothers to asks. The food was amazing. I had the Croque Madame -perfect in every way. Others ordered the eggs benny Florentine - a whole avocado in this and delicious! And hubby had the veggie omelette and gluten free pesto potatoes which he finished off completely! I want this place to succeed so, a little menu rejigging would really help. Great view of the river side area from our table. I'll be going back for sure! read more

The food was not as good as it has been in the past. I understand that the sourcing of products can make the menu changes challengin, but their fresh to order left a lot to be desired. We were disappointed that there wasn't any pepper nor jams/peanut butter or cream on the table. The service was acceptable on such a busy day.
