Sad tacos fridge toppings and a handful of chips? I should have walked away.

Dangerous as hell place downtown. I'm a professional that typically would come in at 6-7 pm to have supper and watch sports. Tonight walked over at 10 on a Monday. Had to walk through 8-10 people outside begging for money and sharing drugs and booze. Got inside and walked down the front of the bar to encounter a group of 6-10 people standing in a group blocking the way. As soon as they saw me. They started saying hey just push through !! Throw elbows! Most of the guys moved to let me through them. Then as I was almost through a couple guys shoved me and I told them to lay off. I sat down to have one of them in my face begging me to hit him it went on until I had to push him away from me and they all converged on me screaming one guy taking off his jewelry and threatened to kill me. Another one was holding a chair up to his chest etc. Eventually the bar staff came out of the kitchen and tried to settle them down. I'm known there and still had to leave as the group was clearly given the preferred treatment. I won't step foot in that place again and I'd advise others the same.

I was in the mood for a pub so had supper tonight at Winston's. It's a big place with lots of space. I ordered a pound of wings with Jack Daniels Honey sauce. They were delicious! There was a bit of a crisp to them and the sauce was good (it was more than "lightly coated" but I was okay with that). Amelia was my server. She was friendly and took good care of me.

Horrible place. Zero service. Plenty of places that are better near her though so skip here.

Chill spot and server entertained us with small conversation and made great recommendations on drinks.

I am convinced that this is a serve yourself establishment; however, I was unable to find the buffet trough so I left.

This place kicks ass. They say that misery loves company... and I really wouldn't know, nor would…read morethe rest of the bar patrons. The vibe is great, the food is qual', and the drinks are a'flowin! I popped in for a night cap (or should I say day-cap?) after receiving some pretty awful news; the judge is revoking my supervised child visitation rights. Those kids need a father, and "Josh" or whatever sure as hell ain't man enough to teach em about the cold reality of the real world. The guy grew up rich and has no idea what's going on. He wouldn't even fight me in the parking lot of Specklebelly's this morning after he picked up the kids. Maggie is going to come crawling back to me any day now, once she realizes what a chump Josh is. I just miss my kids Anyways, the blonde bartended dude, I think his name is Ryan, is totally legit. He got me real good and tanked. I was eating cheeseburgers, I was doing belly shots (which is kind of their thing, hence the name Specklebelly's, although in this case the speckles were vomit, shout out to Kevin!), at one point I did a keg stand. A random dude brought in a piñata and we got him super drunk. Kevin disappeared and I was like "where the fuck is Kevin?" and then he came out of the bathroom wearing a wedding dress! I was like "what the fuck!!!" I was laughing my ass off. They did last call at a legally appropriate time, but that sure as shit didn't stop the party. I was super impressed by the level of finesse executed by Ryan when he wouldn't let me drive home. He told me he'd arm wrestle me for my keys. I knew I probably wouldn't win because Ryan is totally yoked out, like he might even be on steroids, which would certainly explain his anger problems and his extremely short fuse. He went pretty easy on me when we were armwrestling, almost letting me think for a second I was going to win and be able to drive home, but then SLAM! He took my keys and wouldn't let me drive. For a minute I was pissed, but then Kevin reminded me that I'm on probation for some shit that went down a while back. It was November of 2003 and I was going through a rough time. The Saskatoon Blades, my favorite hockey team, had just lost the championship. And Maggie was pregnant with out first child, Walter (Shout out to Walter!). We were in the parking lot outside of the SaskTel Centre arena and I was totally losing my shit. I put her in a headlock, but one of those fake headlocks where you give somebody a noogie, it was funny, we were laughing. There was an undercover cop in the parking lot who was a Moose Jaw Warriors fan and he felt like showing off or something so he sprayed pepper spray in my face. That's why I'm on probation. Anyways, I fucking love Specklebelly's. Thanks for the good times!

What a great dive bar and even better food! Such a cool, eclectic vibe…read more We made a brief stop in town, and this place was recommended to us by one of the locals, and wow she was spot on. Despite serving just "bar food" everything was really delicious and flavorful. We came for happy hour which had a great selection of food and drinks, in which we had the pierogis and also ordered the poutine because being American we just can't pass that up as we don't get that back home. We also ordered the cheeseburger which was excellent! They have rotating food and drink specials which is cool concept. Service was awesome, there was just one girl working the bar and tables and dang did she crush it! Final review: 5/5 stars

I mean Costco poutine is 1000X better than that. I ordered chicken finger and got the poutine upgrade. the meal was $18.50 and they charged an extra $5.50 for the upgrade. I could t even eat it, it was soo disappointing . the beer and the Caesar were good, but hey, low bar. the two of us- $76.00 total. the wait staff were friendly, but the place is full of 20 year old guys. NOT going back there again.
