Unfortunately I believe that had more to do with her commitment to learning and lots of hands-on with my wife and I. It had less to do with her instructors at Elite. Mrs. Broussard was particularly problematic. A few days prior to acing her test, Mrs. Broussard literally told her she would not be a successful driver while praising another student who made as many minor mistakes as my daughter did. Preferential treatment and shaming doesn't inspire the kind of confidence we're trying to build in our daughter nor does it inspire confidence in the instruction provided. We also had quite a good deal of trouble scheduling drives with the school. Sometimes instructors would be late or use their phone during a drive. We'll be looking elsewhere when our son starts learning.

While this school has a wonderful front admin lady, the operations are much lacking in quality and…read moreservice. The classroom portion is great, the driving portion on the other hand is very lacking. Scheduling is the first issue. They give you a limited time to complete all the required drives, and threaten a surcharge if you run late, but do not provide the slots to sign-up. Instead of making a regular schedule for each student, such as every Sunday at 10 noon, or Mondays at 3:00 PM, they leave the process to a first come first serve basis where you sign up on the internet. Given they do not have enough instructors, these few time slot fill up instantly and thus you are not able to schedule your drive. While the front admin lady was very kind, and even the owner reached out to me in attempt to fix this issue, the fact remains that they are overbooking in relation to their staff. In addition to this, the one driver instructor they have seems to be a bit burnt out on doing this job. My hat is off to him, I could not teach many teenagers to drive, but it is the profession he has chosen and as such, his temperament must be better than it is. He yells at the students, belittles them, and does not communicate with the parent in regards to the students' strength and weaknesses, nor his expectations. Apparently this program does not fully teach your child to drive, it is just an expensive supplement, and you the parent are still required to take your teenager on many hours of drive time. While this would be great in a perfect world, alas, many of us work many hours, which is why we are paying a professional to teach. This additional drive time requirement is not made clear upon enrollment (with the exception of fine print on a contract). It should be made explicitly clear that this school does not fully meet the drive time requirement, in fact it only meets a small fraction of that requirement, leaving the rest to you. The driver instructor should consider this lack of information and not belittle the student regarding the parent's lack of information. After my son had an incident with the driver instructor I went to find out what was going on. Not only did the instructor belittle my teen driver, he also attempted to belittle me. Indeed, he said he was tired of teaching teenagers who were not practicing. When I advised him that I was going to speak with the Administrative staff to seek a refund, he replied by saying "I don't care who you call, if they fire me, I'll just go work for another company." I attempted to be cordial during the entire conversation, but in the end, this instructor would not even shake my hand. I was flabbergasted. I did seek a refund and sent a letter explaining the entire situation. While the front desk attendant stated they would refund me, I have not been refunded to this date. I'll chalk it up to an expensive lesson, but I implore you to not make the same mistake. Before enrolling meet the instructors, driving and classroom, and learn all the expectations and requirements.
