Where to begin, this was a great experience for me. First off, I'm going to mention the instructor, Chuck Montgomery. He made this class so bearable that it felt much less than 6 hours. This was MUCH more enjoyable than an online course. I attended the class at the end of August right before Harvey hit. I rushed in the last minute because I wanted to get my court mandated DD class over and done with before a business trip I had the next day. I attended the Tuesday 4-10 pm class. Chuck is a very light-hearted man. His jokes are a little corny, but that's part of the experience. He uses a lot of anecdotes and personal stories throughout the class. Don't be surprised when he brags about his part in the movie "Year One" and his work with Ellen and Rosie. Anyway, he gives the class a 10 minute break at the end of each hour, so the class is only really 5 hours long. He also allows tardiness quite liberally; 2 women showed show up 10 and 19 minutes late for the class and they had to stay the extra allotted time after 10 pm, but Chuck let them in anyway. He uses a power point for the entirety of the class and drops constant hints to the answers for the test. Chuck will give extra points to people that answer questions to the presentation correctly to add to the test. The test is super easy and multiple choice. The certificate arrived in the mail on Saturday after the class. I was able to go to the Houston Municipal Court in Kingwood to get the ticket dismissed immediately. DON'T GO TO THE LUBBOCK LOCATION; that court was flooded out in Harvey. Thanks Chuck!! read more

Chuck was a great instructor.!!! He was funny I mean not Chris tucker or Mike Epps funny but he was funny.! He made sure the rules were followed example: No playing on cell phones lol.! He made sure you were paying attention I learned somethings I didn't know he was VERY INFORMATIVE.!! And I think they should totally keep this place open.!!! The owner should continue to have places like this one in place for people like me who don't want to hear a 6hr lecture more like a fun class environment to laugh at some jokes and to have class interaction is great.! Bring snacks so you can stay wake because if your like me I can't sit still too long without getting sleepy he starts and finishes ON TIME.!! And I loved it.!! If you pay attention the test is easy to pass also if you google him he is pretty famous lol.! Not too many ppl are known on google anywho he was great.!! Chuck Montgomery was my teacher and he made the 6 hours fly by. He wants you to do well on the test and teaches the important things to know. (I scored 100%) He is funny but also knows it is important to learn or be reminded of all the laws in driving. I hope to not have to take the class again, but I do have a lead foot. I highly recommend Comedy Driving Inc. as a great safety driving course company, that is certified by the State. My certificate of completion came so fast in the mail! Do not take it on-line.... it is terrible anywhere you go. Go get entertained for 6 hours and pass the test! Time well spent! read more

Chuck was so awesome I love him very funny full of life I wouldn't mind going back to the class if he is teaching it he is very informative and entertaining love him love him love him he keeps things interesting and it's easy to remember things you need to know for the class this is the first time I had him as a teacher and I had so much fun he kept me going and learning I would recommend him to any of my family and or friends he was veeeeeerrrrryyyyy helpful he was very nice and in good mood again he is awesome and he is a very cool guy so if you have to take the class and he is there you are in for a real treat read more

Although I absolutely HATED waking up early on a Sunday. I enjoyed (as much as possible in a defensive driving class) My 6 hours here. I was able to learn a lot that I didn't know. Chuck was very informative, knowledgable and sarcastic! My type of person! His jokes were absolutely terrible but I think that made it that much better. Pros- close to home, cheap, quick turn around on certification of completion When you zone out, there are TONS. I want to thank Chuck for a memorable time at Comedy defensive driving , what I found funny about this class is how he used music to express himself in Comedy ! I also could read in between the lines about how our pain in life can bring out the best in us if we look for the blessing from God within it ! I definitely recommend this Defensive Driving Class. This was my first time taking this class. I was the youngest in the class, 17years old. I had a Car Accident and Defensive Driving was recommended. Chuck made me feel very welcome and comfortable. He was funny and it was enjoyable while learning more things I didn't know. So I got a speeding ticket and never have done a Defensive Driving course so heard how boring and long these classes could be. Didn't want to do a online class, because I know I would just get up and do something else. So I got a mailer for this class. Well I love comedy and thought this would be fun. It was the best 8 hours for a class and the instructor Chuck Montgomery was just so funny. I laughed so much and learned some things along the way. Six hours of B.S. just to keep more B.S. off my driving record! Dwight Morris more than made up for the B.S!! Great driving instructor, full of energy!!! I have to do the boring driving crap at work online,,so I wanted to see a real person present the class and WOW!!! Did Dwight ever do a great job of getting everyone involved. I complete my second visit at this location. This time the instructor Demetira Dixon was much more informative and funnier than the first time I went over a year ago with a different instructor. She really made it easiler to understand some of the new laws and in fact she actually covered very well for some of the corrections needed by Comedy driver owners. Previously i would always go to hooters and do this course but this time i wanted to try something different. How can you actually have a comedy driving course? From what I experienced a few days ago you can. I admit some of the jokes were ok but the powerpoint and the comments (jokes) always broke the ice. You have to be there 6 hours. Normally classes or long, boring & uninteresting that's why people don't like going to them, but this class wasn't like that. Instructor Dwight was funny, open & friendly, he made the time go by quicker & made the class less boring! He also taught me a lot of information that I didn't know. I didn't want to sit through an online defensive driving course. So I looked up in-person classes online, and found this one! Decided to take a chance on it. I was there from 4-10 tonight. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. 6 hours went by fast with the help of my instructor, Chuck! He made things lighthearted and entertaining. Chuck Montgomery did a great job teaching this class. Naturally, none of us wanted to be there, but Chuck stayed upbeat throughout the entire class, was very entertaining, and made sure that we all passed the test (by giving us a review right before taking the test). I decided to go to a live version of Comedy Driving rather than take an online course an I was pleasantly surprised. The instructor (Chuck Montgomery ) made it totally more interesting than sitting at a computer taking this course online. He kept the class going and time just passed And we were done.
