Kevin, did a very complicated rewiring and upgrade of my electric panel. Kevin is very detail orientated and leaves nothing to chance. He communicates in a timely manner and always talks you through the issues that are arising, He is very proud of his work, even to the point where he spends a lot of time on the project to make sure everything is done 100% to code and his own personal high standards. Kevin is a great guy and will not let you down in a pinch. read more

5 Stars! Kevin is great at what he does. Knowledgeable, quick, clean and honest. I've had plenty of bad experiences being overcharged by past contractors. Not with Kevin. He is someone you can trust to do the job right and at a fair price. We had two submersed pool lights replaced (along with some necessary rewiring and hardware replacement), an outlet installed in a closet conversion, and a few other electrical related items taken care of. Everything done quick and professionally. I am fairly handy and can do most of these things myself. But needed a licensed professional to do the job right. Especially with electrical work around a pool where kids swim. Check out the below article from So Cal Edison. Kevin saved the day! http://m.newsroom.edison.com/stories/hidden-electrical-dangers-can-make-for-troubled-waters We highly recommend Hull Electric for any electrical needs you may have. If you need a reference or would like to see the work we had done, feel free to give us a call. Alex & Wendy Thousand Oaks, CA (818) 312-6415 Alex's cell read more

Kevin is a true 5 star professional and individual! I called Kevin to check the work of another contractor that we hired to do a plumbing and sump pump repair and installation. These guys were not only overcharging us majorly but couldn't finish the job (they did a crappy job on everything else and were now stuck on the electrical part). We needed an electrician's professional opinion about the job. Kevin could have written us his observations as an electrical contractor and be done with the job. But instead, he went above and beyond what we asked of him and helped us deal with the pickled situation we were in for having hired "crook" contractors. He explained to us how true honest contractors work, helped us get the permit from the city and was present during the city inspector's visit to explain all that was wrong with the installation so now we have a chance to hire the right contractors to do the work we need. Kevin is an outstanding person... one of those the world could use many more of! I am really thankful I ran into him and am very happy to recommend his work to anybody that needs a really competent, knowledgeable, honest professional and incredible guy! read more

I really want to give this guy no stars. He is very unresponsive and unreliable! He gives you no confidence that his work would be any good. Just because I had to keep calling him and then I had the nerve to want to know what time he would arrive and how long the job might take, he decides I am being to pushy and doesn't want to do the work! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!! read more

I remodeled my kitchen and Kevin Hull did an outstanding job of handling and installing all ceiling lights, under cabinet lights, pendant lights and multiple switches and dimmers. Price was fair and the work was perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to use him for another project and would highly recommend him to anyone that needs and honest and efficient electrician. Kevin Hull is a total pro. I called a few electricians needing a fix asap. While others could not make it, most likely because it wasn't a very big job, Kevin was able to come by same day and help diagnose what turned out to be a very elusive burnt wire in one of our light switches. This was not an easy fix and required much patience to get to the root cause. I have to say many people may have passed the buck on this one and considered it not worth the effort. Kevin however stuck with it and even came back the next morning (Sunday) to finish the job since he knew we had a party the next day. Again this guy is a pro who seems to have the passion for the job that is so rare in any business. And as far as price goes he was more than reasonable, in fact too reasonable so I gave him a little extra. read more

Kevin is honest and cares about people. It's not just about making money. I came home to a house where power was out for half the house. Certain rooms had power and others did not. I checked the outside panel and none of the circuit breakers tripped. I had no clue what's up. It was around 7pm when I called Kevin and he took a lot of time to explain the possible causes and mentioned it was likely due to SCE issue, which could include meter, transformer, etc. He even suggested checking with other neighbors to see if they experience the same thing. We did check with some neighbors and sure enough, it was SCE. Kevin did offer that if he could stop by right away to troubleshoot for us if we wanted to. It was reassuring that he was 1) immediately available if we needed him 2) he gave us some options that did not cost us a dime but cost him his time 3) I could just tell he was genuinely a nice and caring guy not just after my money. I didn't have to pay him for his advice but he is definitely on my speed dial if I should need an electrician. He is tops in my books. read more

Kevin, was super responsive, timely and very knowledgeable! Great at analyzing problems and coming up with cost effective solutions and suggestions. Very fair and honest! read more

Kevin IS as good as it gets! We called him on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. He called me back quickly, but someone else was already on the way. That guy charged us $200 and told us we needed a main breaker and he would come back once we ordered the breaker on line ($300) and would charge us another $300 to do the job. We decided to get another opinion and called Kevin back. He came right over and within minutes, showed us that it was NOT a main breaker problem, but a problem with a broken meter. We called Southern Edison and they came to replace our meter....NO CHARGE!! Kevin charged us $50 for a call and told us he would hold our check until we confirmed that he was correct in his diagnosis. If only Kevin were a doctor instead of an electrician, I would definitely want him as my doctor. Since he is an electrician, I am happy to be able to use him for future projects. What a competent, nice and honest guy. read more

5 Stars!!! Kevin is professional, friendly, honest and trustable and has good manner too! There are several sockets not working in the house, and I googled the best electrician in Agoura Hills, and Hull Electric came up, we gave him a call and we were lucky enough that he just finished a work nearby and is around the area. So he came over, checked the sockets, and explained why and how did it happened. He fixed the issue very quickly with reasonable charge!!! If you are looking for an electrician, Kevin is definitely the one to go to! read more

I found Hull Electric on google while looking for someone to replace a pool light. Kevin got back to me quickly, then came out to look at my job the next day. He explained thoroughly what would need to be done and quoted me a very good price, which he stuck to. He was very communicative as to when he would arrive and returned phone calls. Kevin did a great job replacing my pool light, which is something many electricians won't do. I would definitely hire him for my future electrical needs. read more

Kevin was super responsive, straightforward about potential costs and decision we might be faced with depending on what was found to be the problem. In a single day he got our call, stopped by the house, investigated, shopped for parts and returned to remedy the situation. All of this while we were not at home. He then went the extra mile to make sure our pool equipment was wired up correctly, which had been the initial concern, but not found to be the cause of the problem. read more

Kevin is awesome. Very friendly, professional and his fees are very reasonable. We had an electrical problem in an upstairs bathroom, which he diagnosed as a defective circuit breaker. The actual replacement part was not available at Home Depot and several other stores and he spent ours tracking one down. He finally returned, replaced the breaker and, for all this, charged for a service call and the cost of the part. He has earned our trust and highest recommendation. read more

It is very difficult to find an honest person to hire for a job these days it seems. I am NOT very knowledgeable with Electrical so not only did Kevin give me the opportunity to watch and teach me something he also was very fair priced and got the job done quickly with no problems. So if you're looking for a knowledgeable fair priced laid back dude of an electrician I would say schedule an appointment with this guy you shouldn't be disappointed if your experience was as good as mine. Thank you Kevin! read more

We have had Kevin work on several projects, for us. He is a top notch electrician and a great guy. I highly recommend his services.

I have used Kevin multiple times for electrical work. He has installed several fans with electrical runs, numerous can lights and electrical panel work. Kevin has been consistently reliable and honest. He is easy to get in touch with and if he can not answer your call he will always call you back. I will continue to use Hull Electric! read more

Hull Electric (Kevin) performed an electric panel upgrade from the old 120A to the most current 200A used in new construction nowadays. Prior to selecting Hull Electric for performing the job, I solicited several quotes and interviewed some other leading candidates - out of all, Kevin made me feel the most comfortable with having him perform the job. Kevin took the time to explain each step and share his thoughts as far as the job planning and on top of this his price was the most competitive. Additionally, Kevin did an excellent job coordinating with the city inspector and Edison. Kevin's job is beautiful and I even ended up giving him another job since I liked his professionalism, honesty and quality of work. I am highly recommending Hull Electric for your desired job. read more

Excellent service at a reasonable price. The previous owners had some messed up outlets and switches, light switches did not work in 5 rooms. Kevin figured out what they did and corrected the problems. Great analytical thinking. Highly recommended. read more

Ten plus stars for Kevin!! I honestly feel so lucky we stumbled upon him randomly. We had an electrical problem one day - our sensitive aluminum wiring needs to be handled with care and by someone with lots of experience. Kevin came to our house shortly after our phone conversation and found and fixed the problem. He is so thorough and my husband and I immediately felt at ease that we were working with someone great. He not only knew what he was doing, but took the time to do the job right. So much so, that we had Kevin back 1 week later to install and set up recessed lighting in two rooms. He did a meticulous, extremely neat job, and totally transformed these rooms. Not only do they look great, but we have great confidence that he did everything the right way. He takes great pride in his work, is honest and fair, and treats his customers like family. We look forward to working with Kevin on many future projects!! read more

I was referred Hull electric from one of my friend and call him after reading the yelp reviews. Kevin and his helper Dan came to my house to work on 12 recess lights and three ceiling fans. Also he replaced 18 recessed light with LED recess and changed out two chandeliers. The work was very clean and accurate that he only have to make 2 holes in both family room and the downstairs bedroom. He also patched up all the holes after he was done with lights. I would highly recommend Hull electric for anyone who is looking for great electrician. read more

Hull Electric - Electricians Near Me - Placerville, California

I needed an electrician asap and turned to yelp. Im so glad I found Kevin. It was late in the evening but he stayed on the phone and took the time to try to help me and explain the possible reasons for my power outage. Rather than coming out and charging me the service fee he recommended a few things to see if I could solve it on my own first. Since I still couldn't figure it out and I really have no clue about electrical work, I asked that he come out the next day. He was there on time and it didn't take him long to figure it out and fix it. He charged me only half the service fee! Kevin is super friendly and one you could trust and is honest in his fees. At first I was like, wow he has all 5 star reviews. Believe it! A+++ read more

I enthusiastically recommend Kevin Hull. In fact, now that I've found him, I will not use anyone else! We had an urgent electrical issue, which, of course, started one day before we were going on vacation .. and the problem needed to be fixed before we left. I was stressing ... would I have to stay home... and my husband leave ... because everyone knows it's tough to find a contractor who will respond quickly. My daughter suggested Kevin, as she had just used his expertise and was very, very pleased. I called Kevin on a Sunday afternoon, and he actually called right back! We set up a time for the next day -- well, he fixed the problem, and I was so happy with his skill and his speed, his reasonable pricing, his care -- and his pleasant, respectful demeanor -- that I had him do another small fix-it electrical job while he was there! I couldn't be happier with the results. Kevin Hull is a true professional! Pat and Jack, Westlake Village. read more

I'm new to this area and had an someone else come out to find out why my lights in my entire house were flickering. After they looked into it they said they needed to replace the entire power panel. Didn't believe him, so I searched here on Yelp, found Hull Electric. Kevin came and I explained to him what the other guy said, after he started looking into it he tells me that the panel is fine. Long story short, we ended up having to call Edison out, Kevin called for us to explain the situation. Kevin went to get some replacement parts, installed the new parts and then called Edison for us again. Kevin stated that Edison has an issue on their line. Later that same night Edison came back out and sure enough Kevin was right, one of the cables that went to my house was completely out!! Edison had to re-splice some wires and now everything works!! Thanks to Kevin and his knowledge and honestly he saved us thousands of dollars!! I highly recommend him!! He's a good honest person and wants to do what's best for his customer and not rip them off!! It's hard to find people like Kevin these days!!! Thanks Kevin!! read more
