Hula Poke is one of my favourite to order in Tsawwassen Mill foodcourt, I was on low carb diet when I first tried their poke bowls, from then on I always love to order from them. They have a variety of flavours, types of veggies, proteins, carbs, sauces and spicy levels. It was actually confusing at first that I have been changing my type of orders, so far I had always enjoy them. I highly recommend this shop for vegetarians or those in low carb diets who are visiting the mall. I enjoyed the taste, the sauce and the fresh veggie Ingredients which were graciously served. Packaging for take outs are very nice eco friendly paper bag and wooden spoon and fork instead of plastics. read more

First time trying Hula Poke! This review is for the Metrotown location but I can't seem to find their page. They don't do "create your own bowl" here so you select your base, protein and then one of their menu options. I picked the Koko (Spicy Korean) one and it was very well mixed with gochujang sauce and I got a good amount of ahi tuna. There was some cilantro on top which I wasn't a fan of so I would just ask them to remove that next time. The bowls didn't seem that big at first but it was very filling! Also tried a bite of my friend's Peruvian (Spicy Citrus) and it had a nice citrus flavour to it. All their bowls seem to have kale in them which is healthy but also not my fave. Overall not bad but I would prefer other poke places where I can create my own bowl. read more

So let's see, this is for specifically this location, the location in Metrotown as well. The only location that actually follows protocol is the Guildford Mall location. It's been COVID, it's still COVID. Maybe customers or people don't require but they employees are required to wear MASK/FACIAL COVERINGS and gloves if handling raw foods. Well guess what, EACH AND EVERY LOCATION HAS NOT FOLLOWED THAT. I sent video and photos but still the owner of the franchisee which is 98 Food Co in Calgary Alberta DOESN'T GIVE A FLYING F YOU SEE KAY! Firstly don't get me wrong. I've contacted as well husband has contacted the managers and then finally I wrote a comment on their main webpage and this man named WRAY CUNNINGHAM wrote me with such a closed response with no sympathy or anything. The worst part is when he was on speakerphone in front of my whole group, he said he would call back immediately after he sees what happens and POOOOF he disappears and thinks that's ok. It's sad cause the hula Poke was a thing for my disabled veteran husband and his other military friends to enjoy and go walk after their meal. But yo drive 45-1hr to be turned around and get no service really sucks. Mr.Cunningham, I'm most definitely sure you'll see this. Maybe take a step back and realize that if there's no customers, there's no business then you get no loyalties. If you run a business, especially a larger franchise, then you should be more compassionate and not lie to the complaints and customers saying that you'd follow up and well now it's 2.5 months. Don't waste your time or energy. You can go to Steve's Poke or else my fave ThePokeGuy who has actual fresh fish and portions are larger as well FRESH and EVERYONE HAS MASKS & GLOVES! If he treats disabled veterans and their spouses like this, I could only imagine how he treats the youth or anyone else. Shame on you Wray, change your name to CON-NINGHAM read more

I was given a gift card from T Mills newsletter so there was no other alternatives. I didn't read reviews from here and thought Hula was like most Poke restaurants. NO, that wasn't true. The menu consisted of Vegan Poke, Seafood Poke, coconut Poke and Thai Curry Poke and some of them sounded off. Usually Poke is a seafood rice bowl with variety of veggies with sesame or onion flakes. I found the menu confusing as well. Brown rice is my favourite, but Hula doesn't have any. I ordered 2 proteins (salmon and tuna) on Ponzu bowl it was gross. Never thought I'd have a SALTIEST Poke ever in my life. Staff was helpful, but the sauce was overly drizzled onto my bowl. Sorry, Hula my Poke bowl was disgusting loaded with sodium. Don't bother ordering. read more

I had the yuzu traditional poke on sushi rice. I asked for double fish (salmon and tuna) at $3 more. The rice was hot, I was not used to that. I was used to either room temperature or cool rice since it was sushi rice. The poke was also very salty which made it so hard to eat. Save your money and go somewhere else to eat. This poke is not like the usual poke shop. read more

One of the better places to eat when at Tsawwassen Mills. Portions are fair for the price. Food is assembled quickly in front of your eyes. There are multiple options of sauce/flavours. However, I just got back from a trip to Hawaii where I got to sample some of the best Poke in the world. And, sorry to say, most places in Vancouver simply don't measure up. It is partly due to the fish we use. In Hawaii, the tuna is crimson red and extremely fresh. Here, it's a beige/pink color. The taste is not the same at all. I only sampled the tuna (I'm not a fan of raw salmon) so perhaps the other offerings are better. As mentioned by others, the rice was served hot which partially steam-cooked some of the tuna while it sat in the bowl. Hula Poke gets bonus points for using biodegradable utensils. As a newer restaurant, they have time to improve. If they can source better grades of tuna, I'll give them another shot. read more

Hula Poke - "Tiki" Poke Bowl. - Poke Near Me - Tsawwassen, British Columbia

Good food options at the Tsawassen mills are kinda limited. So, we picked up some Poke from Hula and KFC from the food court and brought it out to the temporary picnic tables by the main entrance. I've had poke at a few places before, and each one is quite different. This one at Hula is somewhat disappointing. We picked the Tiki Bowl with coconut rice. The portions weren't that big and the toppings were slightly sad looking. -I guess I was comparing this to the Steves poke last time. Flavoring was not bad, but wished the toppings would have made it more exciting. The fragrance of the coconut rice was a nice touch tho. We were going to try out their Kelp noodle, just cause it sounded interesting but it didn't look that appetizing when they showed it to us. Funny story: I took a picture of the KFC combo with the Poke bowl and showed it to my sister, she thought it was just a salad that came with KFC due to its relatively small portion and the Green covering the bowl. So yea.. Food 6 Service 7 Ambiance 6 Value 5 read more

Unfortunately, uses incorrect ingredients to cut down on food costs (ie. increased kale vs other toppings), thus leading to pretty awful flavour. read more

Went to order at this location in Tsawwassen Mills twice. The 1st time there were 3 people working and they were busy, but the guy at the cashier was super friendly & helpful, patiently answering all my questions. He even up-sold me on their strawberry hibiscus "wai-tai", which was refreshing and a great compliment to their food. The poké bowl itself was a bit small portion-wise, compared to what you pay...or maybe I am just used to getting a considerable amount more at other restaurants? In any case it had a lot more emphasis on kale & spices, which had really great blend of flavours. The reason I am only giving two stars is because of my 2nd visit. The mall wasn't busy and there were no customers, and one person working, standing near the entrance to the kitchen. I stood there in front of the register for maybe 5 minutes waiting, as he appeared to be assembling the food. After a while, I attempted to gain his attention by saying hi & waving...which only got a quick expressionless glance before going back to whatever he was doing. Frustrated, I gave up and left. At least let me know you will be with me whenever you're done, or say hello back? In any case, I have mixed feelings on whether I will return or not. Their poké bowls aren't SO amazing or economical that I am willing to go despite my last poor experience, but at the same time they do have unique flavours that you can't get at other places. Maybe if the poké bowl cravings hit me super hard when I'm shopping at the mall, MAYBE I will try again. read more

Finally open! Part of Tsawwassen Mills' food court, Hula offers poke bowls in 8 different flavours. I tried Yuzu with coconut rice and it did not disappoint! Heavy on the crispy onions, it is a dish with lots of bold flavour. You get a choice of Ahi tuna, Wild sockeye salmon, Tofu or Sweet potato. The tuna was a yummy choice. Their prices are on the expensive side, $13-14 for a relatively small portion, compared to downtown poke bowls. However, their offerings come with gluten- and dairy- friendly options and all fish is oceanwise. read more

Food was too small for the price. I paid for double meat and it barely looked like a normal portion. Got the yuzu traditional which had avocado and there were like 2 chunks. Lady helping me also made me feel like a nuisance while she didn't even look busy. read more

Atmosphere: modern with a hipster health vibe. customer service: friendly although i had to repeat my order a few times which was kinda frustrating, however, we worked through it okay. price: it was high end on the price. food: i had the tuna poke and it was okay. little stingy on the dressing and greens, especially for what you pay. read more

This was good poke. I was hesitant because it's a different country and I didn't know how it would taste. Surprisingly it was pretty good poke. The sauce my tuna and salmon was mixed in was so good and creamy. I ordered the Lei (mild) with salmon and tuna. Lots of greens like kale in there. It was definitely delicious and a great quick poke place to eat at if you're at the mall!! read more

Was in Tsawwassen for the day so stopped by the Tsawwassen Mills Mall food court. I saw this place and was hooked when I saw they have vegan options. I Ordered the Koko Bowl with tofu and the Mint Mojito kombucha to drink. The flavours were outstanding. The base was a bed of coonout rice, there was what appeared to be kimchi, kale, and tofu, all tossed with a savoury sauce. It was refreshing, filling, and oh so tasty. I think next time I might try the Cali Veg Bowl but I would be more than happy eating the Koko bowl each time too. read more

Our go to meal from a nearby workplace. A few were Skeptical at first, but 7 of 7 of us give it 5 stars. We've tried just about everything, but the go to is always Bahamian or Yuzu. Ok guys and Gals. I work in the Tsawwassen Mills mall part time and have looked at the food hall selections for sometime. I have tried a few places that were ok and then came along Hula Poke. OMG I was talking to the young beautiful woman with long black brades in her hair. She told me about what they offered. I have poke on Maui every time I go there. I thought I would give it a try, Not only was the young woman very nice the food was amazing. The flavor was incredible. I loved every bite and wanted to lick the bowl after. OMG. I had the tuna KOKO. I will be going back to have that again. Probably try another flavor as well. If you have not tried yet, do it. Talk to them about the different flavors. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. I also had the coconut rice. I love sushi so this I thought was even better. The salad they mix it with is all good healthy food. I did lots of shopping after that meal as I had lots of energy after eating this. Thanks for bringing something awesome to Tsawwassen Mills. Just what we needed. One thing you might want to consider is some pictures of the food bowls. I'll be back. Thanks Ross read more

Got the Lei poke bowl today with sushi rice and ahi tuna and oh my goodness it was so good! It's a bit on the pricey side ($12 for a small poke bowl) but I found the size was just perfect! It didn't make me feel over full or bloated like I sometimes do after fast food. Definitely recommend if you don't mind paying a bit more for your meal!! read more

A refreshing and healthy alternative to the otherwise fast food, deep fried and sauce smothered food court options that are a dime a dozen everywhere else! We got two Yuzu poke bowls , one with ahi and the other with sweet potato with a lime pineapple infused coconut water. It was all delicious and flavourful ! Loses one star only because portions could be a smidge larger, but that could be because we liked it so much and just wanted more ! We will definitely be back. Customer service was on point! read more

Solid 3 stars. I had the ahi tuna with ?yuzu and coconut rice. Good blend of ingredients but a bit expensive for a very small rice bowl. I don't like that they also ask for tips when you are paying with credit card. It's in a mall! read more

Love this place!! The kelp noodles are amazing, nice change from rice! Unique variety of ingredients. Great service.

Terrible... $16 for a "double protein" poke bowl that supposably had two servings of fish. I got salmon+tuna and there was so little fish it was ridiculous. I can't imagine was the regular serving would've looked like... Most of the bowl was just baby kale ( in fact there was more kale than rice...). Worst was I found a bone in one of the pieces of salmon. I came here looking for something fresh among the other greasy/fried food court choices, but I will absolutely never eat here again. Stay away... read more
