Don't get me wrong the service is usually good and the atmosphere is great but the ingredients tend to look a day or so past their prime. There are better Mongolian BBQ grills out there. Love that it's all you can eat, the guys at the grill did a great job cooking it. It's super good and have a great selection of options to put into your stir fry! I packed on the peanut and teriyaki sauce and have no complaints. I suggest going on a week night (I went on a Wednesday at 5) if you're worried about proper service, because mine was just fine! Seated with no wait and got to ask for a booth too. Will be going back. Super affordable too. $13 for all you can eat, plus rice, and a soup or salad. Only complaint was the egg drop soup sucked. This was only the second time I have been to HuHot because I typically cannot do buffets justice. (Maybe because we are not meant to?) You have plenty of options; from meat to veggies to sauce. The food is quite tasty and slightly above predictable. However, I can cram two plates in and call myself in a food coma. There are no flavors that I have never experienced before. However, it is a solid buffet and that is what we were there for. Go for the lunch special so if you are unable to eat your weight in food, at least you did not pay an arm and a leg for it. read more

Not good. I've been to these types of places with MUCH better food. The meat choices were ok, but some of it seemed like fake meat. Maybe I'm spoiled by the local place near my house and we tried this while traveling but I was So disappointed. The grill had food stuck to the side of the insides of the center that are visible to the guests. It's quite unappetizing. I took pictures but it seriously looks like someone vomited because they spray the grill with water to clean it. The sauces are watered down and I was VERY unimpressed. The line can be very unnerving, but it's worth the wait. I have Celiac Disease and the cooks, no matter how busy, always accommdate me without a huff or complaint. Very loud, fun, and entertaining atmosphere, so if you're looking for a quite date night, this is probably not the place. Their allergy menu is very thorough and most of the staff I have encountered are very knowledgeable about allergies, which more than we can say for most restaurants. Our servers are usually so-so, but the cooks upbeat attitude and the roaming managers are very friendly. We went one time later in the evening not sure of their hours, and the front doors were still open, there were two customers in the bar, and a manager that greeted us, wasn't expecting guests. She had her uniform shirt off with just her undershirt and work pants. She proceeded to put her shirt back on and apologized that they were closed. We should have called, that was on our part, but the lack of professionalism on her part was not what we expected. If your doors are still open, expect people to walk through them, and if you're at work, dress that way until you clock out. read more

Having found a Mongolian Grill near my hotel while traveling, I was excited to eat there for dinner as I do not have one near my home location. This location was very busy but I only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The server was very friendly and attentive. The wait to get my food cooked was way too long. This is probably my favorite restaurant in the town. Mongolian grill is all together a different experience. You can eat variety of meat, veggies and awesome varieties of sauses from sweet and sour to hot n spicy. Cost wise it's good as well. Love this place. I have taken groups of student staff members to Hu Hot 3 times in the past year and everytime it's been a major success! I love the selection of sauces and mix-ins and don't think you can go wrong with the unlimited bowls worth of Hu Hotty goodness! People really love the place, but it just seemed kind of sloppy and in all honesty - the whole experience just kind of bummed me out. I'll preface the review by saying the food was completely fine. One of the dishes I created tasted good, and one didn't. But, the fact remains, this is buffet-style, and buffets undoubtedly bring out "buffet people". Buffets lead to bad decisions, overindulgence, vaguely gross food intermingling, and piled, dirty dishes as far as the eye can see. As we ate our salad and awkwardly mixed fish, noodle, beef, pork, sauce, vegetable combination, I couldn't shake the general sense that at some point in the recent past, there had been some sort of violent corn or vegetable explosion in the dining room. And worse, as patrons clamored to get tables and fill bowl after endless bowl of foodstuff, it seemed my wife and I were the only ones that cared... Our waitress was nice, the food and prices acceptable, but this is one suburban strip mall joyride we shan't be taking again. read more

this place is fun and busy, love the ambiance on a friday night. i can easily say the food is good and good enough to return, but with all those diff flavors you would think you could get more out of it. also, you only get small bowls which you cant fit anything in, this bothers me and everyone i go with says the same. you can carry two bowls but once you fill them up with food and sauces it can become a task to maneuver two of them w/o spilling some. get bigger bowls, please!!! read more

My husband loves this place, me , not so much .. that being said , I took him there for his birthday "dinner date " . It was a Saturday night about 8-8:30, well before closing time . We got to the hostess and told her table for two . We specifically asked her if we could have a table , her response " I'll see what I can do " WHAT ? Wtf ? Plenty of places to sit , so I wasn't quite sure if she was serious or not . She was . After a couple minutes , she leads us to ..... what else .. a booth !! A wonderful place for all-you-can-eat. I enjoy the fun of the restaurant. I usually visit with my teenager. She uses 2 bowls to keep the meat separate from the veggies. The freshness and cleanliness is always a priority on the line and on the grill. During the rush, they have difficulties having enough people cleaning. The customers are sloppy. They are too busy refilling. Don't wear your good shoes since overfilling the bowls with sauces is common and it slops onto the floor. Any issue that I had and informed them about has been cleared up in a speedy manner. They even send discount coupons to you for your comments, good and bad. read more

My friend and I decided to take her child who has autism to this place for his birthday he is a very picky eater and also is at times hard to understand. Right off the bat the hostess heard him say something and got down on his level and asked what he said to her we explained he has a hard time forming words and she didn't bat an eye and responded to him and lead us to our table. Our waitress (Samantha) was amazing waiting on us she grabbed some chop stick cheaters for him. My friend has never used chop sticks so tried them out and thought they were pretty neat. Right away her son wanted to try. Thanks to him being extremely interested in the chop sticks he went up for seconds and even THIRDS. Knowing what an awesome accomplishment this was for him I asked if we could keep the little cheater tool and explained the situation she immediately said she could give me a few more and brought some back for him so my friend could try out at home if he would continue to eat better with the chop sticks. She said she also has a picky eater so completely understands that as a mom you have to try everything. We appreciated how thoughtful and understanding she was and she made us laugh so many times!! I highly recommend this place to anyone with a upbeat child or child with disabilities they are truly amazing wait staff! read more

Today I was there around 11:00 with a friend. Was seated promptly and the waitress was very nice. When we went through the line a lot of things had a very small amount in them plus I could not believe how sticky the entire floor was. Apparently not cleaned from the day before. When we went up a second time one container was completely empty. Hardly any mushrooms. Mentioned to the girl when I saw her at the end as I wanted some crab. Wasn't very friendly. She finished sweeping floor and then with her same gloves on poured some crab in container and used her hands to move some that had fallen into other trays. The food was very good but this girl did not even say excuse me to people that were waiting to have the sauces filled up. I would think that should have been all done before you opened. I know people like this place, but I've found most people's taste in food very pedestrian. This place and the praise it gets reflects this. The atmosphere is great, the service was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to leave a great tip because they were so d@mn good at their job. But the lack of quality of the food is apparent. What looked to be shaved deli meat, but not as nice. And didn't taste the best either, the veggies were not the freshest either. If the food quality improved this would be a great place, but this is where this establishment fell short for me. You can do everything else right, but if you don't have good food to serve you are defeating your purpose by being a restaurant. read more

I really liked this Mongolian Grill. The selection of sauces is really what sets it above any others that I have been to. Usually you get to all chili oil, soy sauce, garlic, and if you are lucky you will find a house special sauce. There are over 20 varieties here. The meat to pretty good, a lot of sausage (which I thought was weird, but it does add variety) was present. The vegetables also boasted a large selection (just be careful if you are allergic to something or really do not like a particular thing, because it is self serve and items get mixed in to other containers). Now for the down side. The line to get your food cooked takes a very long time to get through. I wanted at least 10 minutes just standing there along with everyone else. No fault of the chefs, they do amazing work and are very friendly. It is just that there are a lot of people trying to get their bowl cooked at once.
