This place is a hidden gem. It is connected to Gigi U which I believe is a continual education & offers internship for those with down syndrome. It's a pretty cool place and will definitely warm your heart. We highly recommend this place.

Go and support if you get the chance. "Hot Chocolate Supreme"

I've read that some folks don't like the fact that others are benefiting from the fact that there are profits being made off the hard work of people with Down Syndrome. Well from my eyes i witnessed guidance, support, encouragement and love to mention a few big ones but there was way more going on. It is also affiliated with Gigi's playhouses which also helps children with Downs develope and interact socially. I was fortunate enough to over hear a conversation in which they were providing constructive feedback for one of the individuals. It was scincre and genuine in my opinion and I felt that they conducted themselves professionally holding this individual accountable while encouraging them to reach their potential and strive for a little more. I was also impressed with all the love the staff (w/downs) had for everyone that walked through the doors. If I lived in and around a location i would frequent it personally. Keep up the great work. P.S. I love my mug. Hope to see you again soon. (Staff, Brian and David)

I'm a huge fan of Vero Coffee Bar because they have delicious gelato and inexpensive prices. Every…read moretime I see hazelnut gelato available here, I have to get it! This particular location has nailed it for attracting customers because it's placed right near the store entrance/exit and in the produce section. Oh, I wish I lived in a life where I can eat this every day without any health consequences. They rotate their flavors frequently, but I'm sad to learn that the Ferrero Rocher and chocolate hazelnut flavors are no longer available. The Mariano's West Loop location has the most selections, but this location has a decent variety. I love the little things added to enhance the appearance of the gelatos, such as half a real coconut placed on the coconut gelato and a couple of Andes mint chocolate bars sprinkled on the mint chocolate gelato. The size of the scoops are decent. However, I noticed that the gelato here is softer than the West Loop one. My favorite Vero location is still the West Loop one, but this is my second favorite. ***NOTE: When you purchase 10 gelatos with your Mariano's card, you get one free (including the large size)!***

Ah, Vero Coffee Bar. You had me at "Fiat Cinquecento on your gelato cups."…read more I've only tried 3 flavors of their gelato so far, but all have been tasty. The mini cups are only $1, and it's a whole scoop of gelato! Can't beat that. I'm sure I'll try many others as time goes on, but so far I've tried the Disaronno Amaretto, Opera Italiana, and Chocolate ones. All are quite good. They also make shakes with their gelato, which I'm sure are awesome. What I really want to try is the spaghetti and meatballs, which is of course gelato put through an extruder to resemble spaghetti and meatballs. :9 I'm sure it visually beats a boring old sundae any day! Coffee drinks are decent; organic hot cocoa is nice. Prices are reasonable. Oh, and the breakfast panini are only $3 and are served all day. I tried the arugula one (sorry, can't remember what they call it on the menu) that also had tomato and fresh mozzarella on toasted ciabatta. It was nice. You can see my photo of it attached to the entry for this place on Yelp. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely decent, and good value for money.

I met a friend here a few months ago for the first time and have already been back several times…read morebecause I genuinely love the food and coffee. This cafe does so many things right, starting with the spacious parking lot located in a large strip mall, which makes stopping by very convenient. Inside, the dining room is bright, elegant, and welcoming, and the staff has been consistently friendly and kind. During my first visit, my friend and I ordered for dine-in, and I immediately appreciated the thoughtful details. The ordering counter displays a variety of freshly made pastries and bakery items that are very tempting. My drink was served in a real glass, and my food came out hot on an actual plate with a fork. I love places that make dining in feel intentional and special rather than treating it like takeout. I ordered the spinach Turkish bread ($8.75), and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was generously filled with spinach, cheese, and garlic, and the flavor was outstanding. You could tell it was freshly made and homemade. Just writing this review is making me crave it again. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato ($6.25), which had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness and paired really well with my food. One downside is that the dining room is not very large, so tables are close together. As it got busier during our visit, I became a bit uncomfortable because I could clearly hear the conversation at the table next to us, which meant they could hear ours, as well. It is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay. Because of this, I now usually order my drink to go. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this cafe. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for both food and coffee, and I will absolutely continue coming back.

Right off the bat, I am not surprised this coffee spot has such high reviews. When my friend and I…read moremet here, we were impressed not only by the drinks and gelato, but by the service, as well. Sweet N Brew has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with a European-style cafe feel. When we visited, we were the only ones sitting inside for a while. Several pick-up orders were coming and going, but having the space mostly to ourselves made the experience feel calm and relaxing. I ordered an iced caramel latte, and the owner, who was also working the counter, asked how sweet I preferred my drinks. She even mentioned she could adjust the flavor if needed. The latte was absolutely perfect on the first try. It was creamy, smooth, and well-balanced without being overly sweet. I also ordered a scoop of coffee gelato in a cone, which paired beautifully with my drink and tasted rich and authentic. What really stood out was the owner herself. She made friendly conversation while taking my order, and it was clear how passionate she is about her business and the quality of what she serves. That personal touch made the visit even more memorable. I do wish this spot were closer to me since I live in Schaumburg, but it is absolutely worth the drive. I cannot wait to come back and would highly recommend Sweet N Brew to anyone looking for great coffee, delicious gelato, and genuinely warm service. It is truly a hidden gem, and I am so glad I found it.
