    Not properly carrying the washer.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE HIRING HUFFYS! SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEARTACHE! Disappointment with Huffys Movers: I have used this moving company on three (3) occasions. My first move was a last-minute move from my apartment to a storage unit. Even though they started late these guys were (are) Phenomenal! They took care in packing and storing my belongings. I vowed to use them again. My second move was also trouble free, the movers came out to the storage unit, on time and got me moved into my home within an hour and a half. This was a different set of movers and were just as great as the first set. My third move (Nightmare still ongoing since 10-23-2020). First let's begin with rate, Rebecca stated we were getting a discount since I used their services in the past (the moves were 3 months apart). The rate was 2 men and a truck for 2 hours for 285.00. The total move took five (5) hours, they started are 1300 and ended at 1900 with a one-hour lunch break in between. They added an additional mover who reported back to the company that he was on site for 3 hours and was only there for an hour. This was confirmed with Rebecka when she stated the other mover had to pick up his child from daycare / school hence he drove his personal car to our home instead of arriving with the other movers. Also, he didn't start the same time as the others (showed up 45 mins after the work had started). Second problem with is move: I had to leave and get back to work while my wife and daughter worked with the movers to complete the move. The truck was packed, and they were told some items wouldn't fit. There were quite a few items left at the townhouse, in the basement and in the bedrooms. After contacting Rebecca, she agreed that the items should not have been left and a second trip should have been made. After further inspection of our items, the movers didn't use a dolly on our laundry equipment and one of the movers ripped off the top deck (not the lid the entire deck) by trying to carry the washer machine down the steps to the basement. Third problem: Getting the moving company to pick up the items left at the old house before the end of the month and we had to turn the keys in. I was reassured from Rebecca that someone would contact us and go back out on 10-24-2020 @ 0900 (First move of the day).. No called, phone calls unanswered, text not being responded to.. (THIS WILL BECOME A PATTERN). When Tonya contacted me later, she said we wasn't on the schedule and stated some will be out later that day... No one called or showed up. 10-25-2020. After more unanswered call and text I was told someone will get with us. On both days we waited all day with no one responding or coming out, someone called me @ 1940 on Sunday evening wanting to go out there to "pick up the few items" I told him that it was more than a few items and he would need a bigger truck. So, he promised he would contact us one Monday 10-26-2020, No one answered the phones, no one responded to text until later in the day with apologies and excuses again and stated someone will be out to make sure we were completely moved. Same pattern followed on 10-27-2020, finally on 10-28-2020 my daughter met someone at the apartment to pick the remaining items. Forth Problem: Washing Machine Repair, our washing machine is totally unusable. I sent pictures of the damage and someone was supposed to address the issue. After multiple attempts again (NO RETURN CALLS OR RESPONDS TO TEXT) from 10-24 until 10-30-2020, every response I got as apologies, and someone will drop off a washing machine until the part was ordered and our machine repaired. Every day I was getting the same excuse, someone will be out today.... Or no one responding to my calls and text. Finally, 10-31-2020, Tonya dropped off as small washing machine to hold us over until the part comes in... estimated 4 weeks from China??? Last Problem: Getting Reimbursed from the Over Charge. Rebecca stated she would get with the owner (10-26-2020) for a price adjustment. Here comes the pattern again no answer to phone calls unless I use a different phone, no response at all to text leaving our family with no other recourse but to file complaints with BBB and the Ohio Attorney General's office (Consumer Protection Services). I've been holding off with filing because they haven't repaired my washing machine yet and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, Huffys came though when I needed someone at the last minute, for this I am truly grateful. But to leave my family in a bind with a tiny portable washing machine, and constantly being ignored about our adjustment is leaving us with no other option but seek remedy elsewhere. I have been fair giving Huffys an opportunity to make this right, we are done waiting for your company to voluntarily resolve this issue.

    Their replacement??

Update and Response to Huffys: As like the other reviewer items left and they took their time to resolve. Plus falsifying hours worked. I just added more photos to prove your response is bogus and customers need to see what you consider as New / Same Model and Resolved. When Tonya read the first review, she called and I had to place her on speaker because I was at work repairing a receipt printer. A co-worked heard the entire conversation where Tonya in her frustration stated Huffys is not trying to take our money and stated Huffys will refund the full amount and we can pay for our own repairs; all we want is our billing corrected and washer repaired. When I offered to drop off the portable washer, she said keep it, she has no use for it and due to Covid she didn't want it back." I feel we have provided enough good will to have you do the right thing on your own, but you continue to fall short. Your movers were NOT there for 8 hours but 5.5 hours. I have "Ring doorbell" image when your drivers arrived and started. Your Movers moved items to the area that was set aside for trash, brand new purchased items still in their boxes. The return trip was promised by Rebecca because everything should have been moved (Apologies if I'm spelling your name wrong) and Huffys would return the next day at 9 AM to complete. (Ignored calls and Texts) copies of text and time stamps for calls are available and will be provided when needed. Your movers left the items not just in the basement but in the bedrooms on the second level. Your apology is noted, not accepted because you still feel you have done nothing wrong. Huffys continue to deny and feels that they have satisfied all responsibilities. The events that happened on this final move was very unfortunate, the way it is being handled shows you (Huffys) do not have the customers best interest or satisfaction at heart. Ripped couch

Absolutely horrible company!! Had them out in June to swap couches for us, downstairs to upstairs and vice versa. 3 men came out and after a while got me and said they were done, but that he had to show me something. He showed me where they'd ripped off the metal transition piece on the stairs (he asked for a hammer to try to reattach it) and then showed me where they'd scratched our new floors. As we were talking about it, I noticed 2 more scratches, one of them was around 18" long and deep. They said we could put nail polish on it and laughed!! I was just sick. Was told the owner would contact me and handle repairs. They took and sent pics of the floors. As they were leaving I noticed more damages, but figured I'd take pics and send to owner, which I did immediately!!! There was a hole in the wall from the couches leg, they broke our door frame, dented the front door, and scratched up every wall they moved along to move the couch. I even took video to show the owner the clear progression of damages as they moved the couch. The couch itself is destroyed too, ripped the back off and put a huge hole in the leather. I called immediately to get the email to send pics, had pics sent within about an hour of men leaving, and filled out their claim sheet on their website. After 2 weeks of trying to get them to respond to me they acted like I was the problem and I hadn't done the claim form, so I immediately redid it for them. After another couple of weeks of trying to get ahold of them I was told that they were trying to contact someone to come out and look at the damage. Mind you have I a newborn, I'm exhausted, and last thing I wanted was to keep messaging and calling the movers. After almost 2 months they finally gave me the number to a contractor for me to try and set up a time for them, but them messaged me back a couple hours later not to call that one bc they couldn't come out and they were going to try to find another one. More weeks pass and they ghost me. Finally get a response end of Oct that they are finally getting around to taking care of my claim. I had a contractor out and submitted a quote to them. I was asked to send more pictures, which I did. It took me a few days bc we had a close family death, which I explained in a message to the owner as to why it took me longer to send pics again. Haven't heard a word from them! After 6 months of trying and trying, being very patient and trying to be kind, I'm DONE!!! This is appalling. I should have to deal with this, I've got enough to deal with right now. I hired what I thought were professionals, bonded and insured and all that, only to have them destroy my home and property and then treat me like I'm the bad guy!!!

I hired Huffys to do a long haul move from Cleveland to Seattle. I used a new app for long haul moves and picked Huffy's even though they were not low cost but because they seemed professional. My move was a disaster. Some of this is due to Weiss Movers in Cleveland who packed my house for a long haul move and sited my stuff for about 30 days. Weiss did a sloppy job on the inventory which has made resolving certain move issues - like family heirloom Chirstmas decorations - that never got to Seattle next to impossible. Most importantly, a number of items including a dining table that seats 12 (into which someone unpacked leaves and installed them in a table for transport which is just dumb) that splintered beyond repair, a tv, a broken box spring, and broken glass items in boxes packed by Weiss were severely damaged. Huffy's Movers admitted they had no clue about long haul moves and did not have the right equipment to secure things on truck. They were in such a hurry to leave that they left furniture still wrapped in moving blankets and wrap; they neglected to move things as promised; and they did not help unpack or haul waste as promised. They also made NO effort to reconcile inventory. They just drove off. Totally bizarre. I know have valuable broken and missing items. I also had a witness and have photos. They are stonewalling about resolution. NEVER USE HUFFY'S FOR A LONG HAUL MOVE. You will regret it
