These dudes are the BEST. I called Isaac first because they were first on Google but their quote of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS minimum to replace the boiler, plus a $200 fee for them merely showing up to tell me this insane quote, was disgusting business. My 90 year old grandfather told me, "call Huether." They have been so fair and trustworthy. They repaired the heat last year for $270 and replaced the entire boiler this year for less than HALF what Isaac tried to scam me out of last year. We had an appt with John on May 12th for a mini split system. After the review of the hse he said he would work up an estimate. On May 18th I called to check on the estimate was told they have been busy with emergencies. I said understandable to this date no call from them and no estimate. I'm surprised we have worked with them on other installations this is a first for no response. Very disappointing read more

I recently moved into a house where the previous owners had used Huether for HVAC service. So when I had a problem with my AC, I gave them a call. They sent someone out to inspect, and they identified the issue. They said they couldn't fix it that day, but that I could schedule an appointment to get it taken care of. Fine by me. So I scheduled that appointment. Then the appointment day came and went, and nobody showed up. I called the line several times with no response. Eventually they called back to say that they had gotten busy all of a sudden and couldn't make it. They asked to try again the following day. So I said "sure." That day came and went, and I am now writing this review after the second unannounced no-show. I have again called the line multiple times and left messages with no response. Great locally owned, small, heating and cooling company located in Gates, NY (right outside the Elmgrove plant). The company has been around for a many many years, and it is now run by the son & daughter team of the original founder. John Huether readily supplies his cell phone to clients. A couple of months back, my furnace broke down (during a cold snap). Huether came quickly and diagnosed the problem (other than it being a 38 year old furnace) and offered to install a replacement furnace. Price quoted with a handshake, I quickly got two other pricing quotes from competing firms. I would have gone with Huether even if it was at or near the pricing of the other guys, but Huether's quote was about 25% below the comps (and even for the exact same furnace model!!) Needless to say, I have a new furnace that I feel I got great service and a great deal on (compared to a flat tv I bought, where I had buyers remorse not too long after). This is definitely my go-to company for any hvac issues I might have in the future. read more

Our heat went out during a cold-stretch on a Saturday afternoon. A call to Huether Heating & Cooling and less then an hour later John (owner) was in our house running diagnostics on the system. He quickly found the fault, hunted-down a replacement part, and was back to install it in less then an hour. The system was back up-and-running before the house had a chance to cool down.
