I came here today with my mom. First I went to the electronic section and there was a young Indian girl who was really sweet and friendly who works there and was willing and eager to help me as I needed a USB-C cable so that was nice for a change, then I went to the grocery section to pick up something then my last stop was the cosmetics section. It was annoying because there was an older Indian woman working in the make-up section today obviously staring at me like a hawk assuming I was going to steal something, it was so obvious walking back and forth then standing in the aisle following me. I took out my used concealer to match the concealer that I was planning to buy to compare it to the bottle I brought since they have no testers now, I really can't stand people like this. This woman seriously needs to find an actual productive task to do besides following people around assuming people are going to steal stuff. Obviously I have to check to see if the colours match as I'm Ethnic and it's harder to colour match my skin than it is for a Caucasian person. They really need to improve there customer service as it's always been very poor for the most part.

The mall itself has a few anchor tenants such as Best Buy, Walmart, and T&T. Other than that, there's a pretty decent food court and the usual random stores. The place does look pretty dated (1980s?). I think it's getting torn down at some point as part of the area revitalization.

At that time, it was specifically for some personal financial business (Royal Trust used to be located there), plus a few fish & chip lunches enjoyed (at C-Lovers) with re-found friends. Going there has "graduated" a lot from those early-days -- to including book shopping (Chapters), some food shopping (Save-On), several other dining experiences (adjacent, and nearby on Lincoln Avenue, and most recently, at Pho 99 within the Village), currency exchanging for trips (at Attar, on Lincoln Avenue), personal insurance needs (Hub International), and the like. Pinetree Village is an easy to walk, one outdoor level of retail shopping, dining, and service outlets -- with lots of easy to access vehicle parking, and walking access from bus and Skytrain public transit.

The cashier also didn't seem too happy to be there. While I was waiting in the LONG line to pay, i opened up a powder compact I was planning to buy. At first, I thought it was just missing the powder puff. Then when I opened it up to make sure it hadn't been used, I saw that it was completely empty. I told the cashier I didn't want it, and showed her the problem so it wouldn't be put back on the shelf like that - and she gave me a look like I took the powder puff- to which I burst out laughing ! She wasn't impressed - neither was I ! I'll skip this location - plenty more to choose from!

Asian mall in the Coquitlam Centre vicinity…read more Parking is available on the roof of the mall. There's a ramp from the SE corner on Lincoln. This place reminds me of International Village in Downtown Vancouver. Almost looks like it was designed by the same company. Very similar looking signage and layout. Stores and a supermarket along the basement floor, and food court in the central 2nd floor. Interestingly, the general emptiness of the mall also reminds me of International Village. The food court looks pretty decent. Plenty of seating. Not sure if the place would be a shopping destination, but it's more of a food destination if one is in the area.

The layout of this mall is pretty similar to Tinseltown. I came here recently and I see how run down this mall has become. It is so old and neglected. The exterior paint was the original. Nothing has change much after it was built (other than it looking older and more run down). After Covid, looks like lots of store has closed. They have a food court in the mall on the second floor and it seems like that is where most of the customers hangout. I came on a Saturday at around 3 pm and it was pretty quiet.

While all the SAs on duty that day said the right things, the actions did not match. The signs out in the store during covid-19 were insufficient in how the new shopping reality would be in the store. So my friend and I stepped into the store and were told by a staff from across the room to stay outside. Then we realized they were at capacity. That was fine but it would have been better if they had someone stationed at the entrance when at capacity to inform potential shoppers of that. Instead of shouting across the room. The fitting room was open. yay! You could try on clothes which would then be in a bin to be sanitized -- but the staff did not track those clothes/customers to be sanitized when customers tried them on at the rack itself so... Again the sign was not clear on the procedure. I was told by another customer at the fitting room I needed to wait for a staff before I could enter or go to a room. So it was a while before a staff came over. The staff also told the other customer her friend/relative (same household) could not be in the same room or area with her due to new covid-19 policy for safe distancing. The person had to wait in the fitting room exit area. New way to shop now -- rooms have to be sanitized before customers can use, and alternate rooms to be used. That was why the staff had to be there to let customers know which room to use. When my friend asked the younger staff about the pants I bought online previously, the staff had no idea what my friend was talking about. I tried to show her the item I bought from my order confirmation but the staff totally ignored that. Instead she just showed all the similar styles available based on the description my friend gave. I wanted to get another pair of capris as a back up to the current one I owned as it was really comfortable. I tried the one I saw on the rack but it felt different. So I showed and asked another staff where to get it. I was pointed to the same rack where I tried the capris. I just do not understand why the staff does not really take the time to really look at the SKU of the item and find it for customer. Other store's staff will do that and not here. When I got home and tried on my existing capris, I finally know what was the difference. The one in store which I tried was petite, what I bought was regular. So I have to go back to Reitmans (another store) to buy it now that I know what to look for.
