London Drugs offers great one stop shopping! This drug store at the Coquitlam Centre is a pretty good size and has a lot to offer including a good selection of candy and snacks. I picked up some pop and a tub of Poppycock to munch on while I was doing some power shopping. There's also full service electronics department with TVs, radios, computers, phones, software, accesories, music, movies, & more. The selection of CDs is decent, but the prices are slightly on the high side, most CDs I saw were priced around $14.99. I saw a Hedley CD priced at $14.99 here and the same CD was priced at $10 at HMV. Overall, London Drugs is very impressive and offers way more goods than the other pharmacies (CVS, Rite Aid, & Walgreen's) I'm used shopping at in the USA. I found the staff here very helpful, especially when I was checking out the large plasma TVs (I was actually trying to catch up on the NFL scores). read more

I like the cashiers here who are generally pretty friendly and I honestly do for the most part enjoy shopping here, but I came here today, as I always take those flexible plastics and plastic bags to toss in the recycling bin and was more annoyed with my experience. Some Chinese lady who I think works in customer service was literally watching me like a hawk and following me seeing what the heck I was doing, I mean what am I going to do, steal a bunch of dirty plastic bags from the recycling bin? Another shopping centre, and another London Drugs attached to it. The one thing I will say about this one, compared to all the others I have been to is, it's practically identical to Lougheed's store. If you know the Lougheed store, you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for without a map! And it is always nice, for a mall to have one of these stores, as it's more of your one stop shop for everything, and you can get them to price match with most of the mall on goods found within the mall. A catch-all type of upscale convenience store, London Drugs is a place where it kind of has every category item that one wants but not necessary has the best prices or the most extensive selection of brands. One can find almost anything one need in the mid-range brand offering and pay a slight premium above buying the equal item in Superstore or Walmart (except electronics where they are competitive to Best Buy with price guarantee). The nice thing is LD is located inside the mall so one does not need to make an extra trip if in need of 1 prescription or a single tube of toothpaste. It does have convenient and functioning self-checkout which makes it a lot more attractive to buy that one single item and avoid the slow short lineups. Recently this store has a partial facelift in the electronic department with better layout and displays of cameras, cell phones and accessories. Staff are mostly polite and helpful. The computer department staff is always helpful as well. Overall a good size store that one does not get lost in and can get in and out quickly buying small items. WARNING: DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLES SERVICES... A few months ago my girlfriend sold her vehicle & went to this location to cancel the insurance & the purchaser went with my girlfriend to have the vehicle transfered out of my girlfriends name right away. The guy apparently "canceled" the insurance & charged my girlfriend $18 to keep her plates. A couple months go by & my girlfriend buys a vehicle from a Honda dealership. While insuring it the insurer discovered the plates were still active & my girlfriend was still paying insurance on the vehicle she had the insurance canceled on a couple months ago. We proceeded to this London Drugs Insurance to speak to the guy who was supposed to cancel her insurance. The guy stood there with a dumb look on his face & repeatedly told my girlfriend "I don't understand what you mean." Its simple numb nuts. You were supposed to cancel the insurance, you told my girlfriend you canceled the insurance when you clearly didn't, my girlfriend continued to pay on this insurance & now you're playing stupid. After explaining the situation over half dozen times & repeatedly being told "I don't understand what you mean" the guy asked my girlfriend to write out her complaint with contact info & someone would call her back the following week. She also wrote out how many days she has paid on insurance that was supposed to be canceled & requested those funds be returned to her. She was guaranteed a call the following week. It has now been 2 weeks & nobody has contacted my girlfriend. THIS PLACE F**KED UP, COST MY GIRLFRIEND MONEY & ARE NOW PLAYING STUPID. read more

We bought a dishwasher here. That may sound strange to people not familiar with London Drugs but it has become a modern general store. A special shout-out to Jason in the electronics department who actually went to the back and dug through stock to find the hidden dishwasher that was advertised special. London drugs is just one of those places that has everything and its open late. Whether I need medicine, magazines, makeup or a mop, I can slide into this store and get it. The workers are fairly nice too. However, they are a bit weird about returning makeup unlike Sephora, so watch out for that. Otherwise, its great! read more

This is not much different than any other London Drugs. I was happened to come here 2 Sundays before Christmas. One thing I have to say about LD is that even though their prices tend to be on the high side, when they want to discount something and get rid of it, they really mark it down...a lot. I'm always annoyed at other stores that have "clearance" sales of 20% off. Anyways, LD has for the most part, been good to me so I'll continue shopping here, probably for years to come. read more

I used this store twice, both times with excellent results and very very good service. I renewed my car insurance at the kiosk (thank goodness they were open on Sunday!). I cant remember the name of the man who helped me but when I forgot a piece of my insurance packet on the counter he mailed it back to me! The second time I needed a part for my computer. I'd been just about EVERYWHERE in town looking for it, nobody had it. So I go into the Electronics department and it took the lady there ten seconds to find me exactly what I needed! The employee was condescending and rude....... hope this was the first and last bad experience in the store. This location overall is fine, EXCEPT for the Cosmetics Dept. The Coq Center store is close to where I live, so I am in there often. Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful, but the women in Cosmetics usually ignore you, and just gossip with each other about the customers and their personal lives. Several of them have been there for a long time, and I think this dept. needs a change of staff, badly. Even when you ask for help, or have a purchase, they act like they are doing you a favor....not friendly, minimum dialogue. Also often almost sloppy appearance.....Clean up your act please, ladies, and remember you are there to help the customers. read more

Looking at tablets that supposedly "come with Microsoft Office" hoping to find one, but also considered the fact that maybe the apps were just pre downloaded and I would still have to pay a subscription. I already have an iPad that I downloaded the apps on, but need a subscription to use them which is not an issue for me. Though, if I could just get a tablet or anything with a permanent version, I'd buy it for the convenience of the one payment. I went to Best Buy, played with a tablet that came with Microsoft Office and asked a few employees if it was permanent or if I'd still need to pay extra for it. No one there knew. The best answer they gave me was "I don't know" or "I think so" and just moved on to another customer. I walked over to this London Drugs across the street, asked the same question and the staff answered my question in detail within two minutes of entering the store. I purchased a cuisinart smartpower 7 speed blender after the Manager told me it was the new line and newest model in, and highly recommended it to me. Online reviews via amazon.com differed vastly however, I am taking this back tomorrow for a full refund unused. Secondly, my infants stonz bootie got lost in the shopping center and I went back again the next day for a second hunt around, even checking under the shelves on the floor, and I was disgusted at the state of the floors under all the shelves in London drugs, not cleaned for months I would say and filth and items under all of them!
