The service there was very rude and took my receipt when I didn't ask her to and then she went ahead threw it away when I tried to return the things she said I needed the receipt when she's already threwn it away overall very rude staff. I have mixed feelings about this Walmart, customer service isn't that great here usually, it's also hard to use manufacturer's coupons here if they're printed out from the computer unlike Save-On Foods because front end staff will automatically reject it. I came here today with my mom. First I went to the electronic section and there was a young Indian girl who was really sweet and friendly who works there and was willing and eager to help me as I needed a USB-C cable so that was nice for a change, then I went to the grocery section to pick up something then my last stop was the cosmetics section. It was annoying because there was an older Indian woman working in the make-up section today obviously staring at me like a hawk assuming I was going to steal something, it was so obvious walking back and forth then standing in the aisle following me. I took out my used concealer to match the concealer that I was planning to buy to compare it to the bottle I brought since they have no testers now, I really can't stand people like this. This woman seriously needs to find an actual productive task to do besides following people around assuming people are going to steal stuff. Obviously I have to check to see if the colours match as I'm Ethnic and it's harder to colour match my skin than it is for a Caucasian person. They really need to improve there customer service as it's always been very poor for the most part. read more

I am a very regular customer, I placed my first pickup order for 4 to 5 pm I got an email that my order is ready for pickup. Get there at 4.30 pm after check in, waited till 5.20 my order still had not arrived I waited outside got almost one hour. Finally had to cancel the order as could not wait any longer. I could have gone in and picked up my order. What is the convenience of placing a pickup order with a time limit, and having received email that order is ready? WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE. waisted one hour, my money is with walmart, will not hold my breath how long and how many calls I will have to make to get my refund. And eventually got no groceries. This is a large Walmart store located in the mall. Store is a bit messy and there are few staff around. Prices are average. Surprisingly, there is a Burger King affiliated with this Walmart instead of the usual McDonald's. read more

So it looks like they finally opened up this nice shiny new location in the deep end of Coquitlam. Parking is available around the building, in the nice large Coquitlam Centre parking lot. As the inside is brand spanking new, it was pretty full of people. The sections were all full of goods, as Wesley W. mentioned, it still smells like paint. Curiously enough, the items I was looking for (which are available on the website) were not in stock here. Hence the 4 stars out of 5. I'm sure many of the locals are happy that there's finally a store in this part of the city. read more

There are few stores in Coquitlam that can beat Walmart prices in anything (including Superstore and Costco). This Walmart is located right inside the Cowuitlam center so there is added benefit of doing other shopping or eating at the food court before and after. Storewise it is not particularly big so the aisle could be crowded at times and self/check out is always packed but move fast. There are only 2-3 cashier available at anytime so if you are not using self-checkout then the wait could test your patience. There is ample of meal parking right outside the separate streetside entry. Product selection is decent and the weak point is in organic and heath food products. As far as dairy products and produce they are cheaper than superstore but has less choices. Their pastries usually are not that great compared to local Save on foods or Superstore. I find myself coming here specifically for baking needs such as butter, heavy cream, cream cheese, sour cream, cheese and nuts. They consistently have the best prices. Staff is hard to come by as they are always busy. The place is well keto in terms of cleanliness and air quality is acceptable with the exception of shoe department (a lot of cheap rubber off-fasting). They open till quite late at night so it is the best bet for cheap junk food (usually there is a brand of chips going for $2 for huge bag). Overall a must-have grocery store in Coquitlam Central that I have come to depend on for daily needs. read more

I've been told by Costumer service " Be careful next time you are gonna buy grocery if you you want to return it as Walmart should put it in garbage even it hasn't been used and still sealed" while I tried to return sealed plastic bag of beans. I used to come here to shop every now and then. I have been shopping here trough the months of Covid with ease..untill today, when I was stopped at the door, a fecemask forced upon me as "mandatory Walmart policy", and wasn't allowed to go in unless I surrender my right to freely choose if a mask is right for me and bow to the supremacy of their policy rule over my face and breath.. Well I walked out. And I won't be coming back. Absolute joke of a store. Choose another walmart location. Went to this location to buy an electric trimmer at 9:49 pm . The store does not close till 11 pm . The shavers were locked up behind glass and i was waiting about 30 minutes to get someone to open the door. There was about 12 clerks working in the customer service department directly adjacent to the health and beauty section and nobody around to help . I asked one of the clerks to get someone to open the locked case door, she paged for someone 5 times on the PA system but to no avail . Why the hell do you lock up merchandise if you dont have a clerk that can provide it to the customer??? Just an absolute joke of a store. It is experiences like this which makes me understand why Amazon is taking over the big box brick and mortar stores . I eventually waited 35 minutes and Soheila finally managed to open the case. They all have their cons and pros but either way it's good if you're looking for something whether clothing, accessories, kitchen ware, home items, outdoor stuff, toys, gifts, food, and more. Convenient and lots of parking space around. Mostly very reasonable price and you can even purchase fishing pass there. read more

I came by during their first weekend to check it out. This place deserves five stars just based on the fact that their shelves are stocked, unlike their long gone predecessor. The store still smells like fresh paint. Probably needed a lot of primer to get rid of all that red. Lastly, the store was packed with shoppers and the lineups to pay were surprisingly long. I thought the Walmart in Poco would make this store irrelevant but perhaps it's a genius move. Coquitlamites loves their big box stores. read more

Staff does not know how to give directions. I had to ask 3 different people just to be able to find ONE item. Their aisles aren't numbered so that makes their job difficult to explain where things are as well. Only the food aisles are labeled. There was one cashier in particular named "Shaila" or something close to that, I only glanced at her name tag. I walked up to her and asked her where aisle 7 was after asking 2 other people and with no luck. I didn't realize that the food aisles were the only ones labeled after walking through a complete store with no labels. She IGNORED ME and then when I asked where aisle 7 was for the SECOND time, she said in an extremely rude voice "down there." The worst part is that she appeared to have a managerial role. This woman has no place in customer service if she flat out ignores customers that are right infront of her asking a question. read more

WARNING!! CHECK YOUR BILL FOR PRICING ERRORS I've gone to the walmart in coquitlam ctr 3 times now, today being my 3rd and last. Every time the price marked on item was not the price i was charged, which was always higher - -what a surprise! grrrrrrrr. And i'm only buying 1 or 2 items each time. Two times i returned item to be reimbursed and there would be at least one other person at customer service returning his items for corrections. One old man complained this happened most times when he bought food items. Today I went in again, optimist that i am, to buy a cooler priced in huge numbers @ $27.86. Was charged $27.99. It's not the 13 cents difference here-IT'S THAT THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN A ROW!!! And i'm just one person. I went immediately to customer service and asked for the store manager, who wasn't there. The ass't manager did come over and never once looked at me, never apologized or even appeared interested in what i was telling him. I told him that i was never coming back as a result of such consistent pricing irregularities and he didn't even respond. Simply said something quietly to the customer service gal, who sincerely did apologize to me, and then he left. My money was refunded and i'm writing walmart off - not that i was ever a fan. read more

Manager is terrible! ...As a new mom I had received some double items as gifts as I also had purchased before my lo was born.I came in with my receipt and was just a few days over the 90 days so I asked for a credit at least the product (nursing cover) was still sealed and intact. He was rude and denied it said it was walmarts policy ....Ummm Ive been able to get a credit without a receipt......He was just super rude and pissy wouldnt even look at me...I was pretty unimpressed....ummm your working customer service ... As well II have visited this location a few times now.They never have everything in stock that i need simple things as in Vitamin D drops for my lo and I have tried a few times and other items.
