This Canadian Tire is in Ironwood. Very big store. Parking is available free in the front. There are other stores at this mall. We decided to stop inside because my friend had a $50 giftcard to this store. The layout of this store is big and pleasantly nice to walk into. The store is well maintained and clean. April 23, 2024, 9:30 AM. A person who claimed to be a manager displayed a very poor attitude during our interaction. She was not wearing a name tag. When I asked for her name, she appeared very nervous and asked if I intended to file a complaint. I said that she should be able to tell me, and that she should be wearing a name tag. She responded that she had a name tag but was unwilling to disclose her name. "Just call me manager!" Is this behavior reasonable? read more

WORST SERVICE. On July 23, 2023, I went to Canadian Tire on No.3 road, Richmond, BC. I had a broken alternator belt, and hence the alternator wasn't generating power to the battery. They couldn't fix the car that day but booked an appointment for next day. They did not allow me to leave the car there. These guys made me drive the car home with a broken alternator. The car stopped running as I drove home. Had to tow it back home. Next day, I called the service manager, John, and he said he is not responsible for towing. Had I been allowed to park the car at their facility I would have not been endangered with my vehicle stopping in the middle of the street. John didn't seem to care. I was very stressed and dissappointed with the level of service at Canadian Tire. They have lost me as a customer for ever !! I will not recommend this company to anyone. They just dont care. The service manager of their auto centre named Kevin Wong does not care about the employees especially younger ones and has a poor fake sarcastic attitude. Employees are rushed customer's not treated well etc. They need to change their attitude specifically Kevin Wong. read more

I was here yesterday and had a terrific experience. (It's strange to read all the reviews of this place, as they are all over the place in their ratings. I found this to be one of the BEST Canadian Tire stores around - and I've been to many and I'm a big CT fan in general). First of all, there's a huge parking lot and the parking is free. Next, the store is humongous, like a warehouse, and extremely well-lit and well organized, with department signs clearly marking each area. The selection of merchandise is enormous. The aisles are very wide and easy to navigate (especially when you have a cart, and there are other people in the aisles, too). Prices for everything are clearly marked (I hate when there's no price listed, as is common elsewhere). I find there's a large range of prices for everything, and the sales here on items range from good to fantastic (if you can snag a clearance or discounted item, or hit a special sale, the price of goods can be phenomenal!). There's a auto department that looks large (I take my car to the CT on Cambie in Vancouver, but this dept here looks even larger), and there's also a Canada post office counter in the store too (WOW, wish my CT had a post office. Nice!). Here's where this CT ranks higher than others I go to: there was an abundance of employees on the floor when I visited, so there were lots and lots of people to ask for help in finding stuff, or their opinions on specific items. I stopped one guy to ask where the smoke detectors were located and he said, follow me, and he escorted me to the products and we discussed the pros and cons of various models (he was very knowledgable), as well as their return policies if there was a problem (I liked how I could return the product to the CT store near me, and not have to drive back to Richmond, if there was an issue with the product). On the way to the cash, my kid and I thought of other items we needed, and there were lots of employees on the way to ask where to find them. (In my Cambie Street CT, there rarely are employees on the floor to help me. I have to wander forever to find someone, or pick up the customer service phones on the floor to get help - and even then, it's not quick or easy). This store is great. read more

I tried to call the store several times to ask if there was something in stock because the last time I wanted to buy something where there were 3 in stock, I went to buy it and there weren't any available so I thought I'd call first this time. I waited and waited until eventually the call was disconnected. I understand staff may be busy but I tried to call for half an hour and my call was not answered. read more

Super convenient location on your way to the ferries or when leaving Richmond to Vancouver. Also it great that they have lots of house fixing stuff if you live in the area. Don't need to go to Homedepot for hardware. Recently bought some fishing supplies that were sold out at other C.T locations. It's my go to place for master craft tools. I visited the store just earlier today. My T-Fal XL fryer that I purchased last year stopped working. Unfortunately I couldn't find the receipt. Read several reviews from other customers that they had to send it to manufacturer for repairs. Some posted they waited several months and some came back fixed but actual fryer dented or damaged. The customer service rep was very understanding, friendly and helpful. He searched my debit and credit card manually. Luckily he was able to locate it. The customer service rep got the store manager to sign off & quickly got an associate to get a brand new one off the shelf and brought it directly to me. I was very happy and pleased how this Canadian Tire location made this exchange super easy. Excellent customer service!!!!! read more

I rocked up to this place one bright sunny late summer afternoon. The birds were chirping (in my head, at least) and I was excited. I was about to purchase a bike. I had looked online previously and was ready for my very own SuperCycle Classic Cruiser. Ringing in at just under $150 (it was marked as $149.99), it fit in well within my budget and the cool retro-styling was perfect for all the playground adventures I had had in mind for the remaining summer days. Oh, but sadly, it would not be so. Despite the fact that it had been listed as available online and that I had called to confirm this fact, I was rudely informed that it was, in fact, sold out. I was ready to just walk off it off, a disappointment heart marring my sleeve. No big deal, really. What bothered me most about this experience was how consistently rude and inattentive the staff was. Firstly, it took me ages to even locate someone to point me towards the bike section. Secondly, after I had found someone and inquired about the bike, he wandered away to check the inventory and never came back. I foolishly waited fifteen minutes for him. Finally, at the customer service desk (my mom was making a return), it not only took forever to get someone's attention (even though there were three of them), understandable, of course, since they were in the midst of a riveting conversation about last night's party. When someone finally deigned to assist us, she was impatient and continued a steady stream of banter with her colleagues. Whew! That was a long whinge. Anyway, I know I could have just shrugged it off but what bothered me most was how consistently and thoroughly rude and unprofessional everyone was--and not only at this one but at the Cambie location as well. I have been shopping at this store since it opened, and WAS a devoted Canadian Tire shopper. Over the last few years their inventory control has gone to the dogs, I can't count the number of times I have gone to the store after checking on their website, only to find NO STOCK. Recently I made my shopping list making sure there was plenty of stock of what I wanted, when I arrived at the store 5 of the 6 items I wanted were OUT OF STOCK, why do they bother listing stock on there website. I ended up leaving with nothing and drove across Richmond to buy ONE of the item I really needed, the rest I bought ELSEWHERE. This store has let me down so many times I have pretty much given up shopping here, and I hate the TRAFFIC to get to the other Richmond store, I have unfortunately resorted to shopping at US big box stores, now that's CANADIAN Eh! This review is specific to getting a USA car import inspection required by RIV. I am not a mechanic by trade but do all my own car maintenance and repairs. This year I imported two older USA-market vehicles and had Canadian Tire in Richmond (one at Steveston, other at No. 3 which doesn't have a Yelp page). I didn't tell them that I work on my own cars and was fully mentally prepared for the usual up-sell. Both cars passed 100% and they even remarked on how surprised they were at the cleanliness and condition of the vehicles for their age. They did not try to BS me on "needed repairs" or up-sell any other services. Based on my experience, these two Canadian Tire Richmond locations are honest shops who are unlikely to fleece unsuspecting drivers with bogus repairs. read more

Sure there's plenty of automotive stores in Richmond, especially around Bridgeport. However many of them being private mom & pop shops they just don't have the buying power of a large corporation like Canadian Tire. As a result their pricing is just not as good. Being newer, this location is great because of how vast it is as well as the ample amount of parking available. Whenever you're looking for a cheap replacement bulb, or random garden or other various knick knacks Canadian tire is usually where I find myself. Their repair services on the other hand I would be a little weary of. I've heard many horror stories about automotive issues getting worse after visiting them. read more

Ok, so this is not my kind of store. Come to think of it, I probably should have brought a boy here so I wouldn't be as lost and confused as I was. I've been to this store before, but every time it was with a human with that essential Y chromosome that seems to have been dispositioned with the ability to navigate around a Canadian Tire. My main mission at this store was to purchase replacement bulbs for my taillights. When I stepped into the store, the flickering of the fluorescent lights, the large big-box store atmosphere, and the overwhelming 60+ aisles got my head spinning. I just wanted some bulbs! I wanted to look for help, but there were no employees in sight. I proceeded to their car service counter, which I was lucky enough to bump into an employee that was about to stock the shelves. "Excuse me, where would I be able to find some replacement bulbs for my taillights?" "Oh, they're right over there in aisle 4." I looked over. I was sure that I walked through the aisle before and saw nothing. I must have had a lost puppy look on my face. "Do you know which bulbs you need?" the employee asked with sincerity. "Um, no." I told him the model and year of my car, and he was nice enough to help me look it up in their system. He then walked me to the appropriate section, found the bulbs, and handed them to me. I graciously thanked him, proceeded to the cashier, and even got myself $0.05 of Canadian Tire money. Score! read more

I went in here with the intent of getting an oil change on my car and buying 2 TV trays. The oil change was a fail, it was 3:30 in the afternoon and they said they couldn't do anything for me. Really? At mid afternoon you are done for the day? I was offered an appointment the next morning so I took it. I forgot about it and they never even called me (they had my phone number.) If they had made a simple phone call I coulda had my care then exactly 2 minutes later since I work right behind the store. So off to the TV trays. First of the housewares/furniture area tucked into a corner and not easy to find. Item was sold out but there was a reminder to ask for a rain check since it was a sale item, thank you I wouldn't have thought to do that! Getting said rain check was a bit of an issue, the customer service counter moves SO slowly and when it was finally my turn they insisted there was 5 in stock and tried to contact housewares...and tried, and tried, and tried again. Finally they realized no one was gonna answer their damn call/page and gave me the rain check. 45 minutes later I walked out of there with just a rain check and very little faith that I will actually be called when I item comes back in stock. read more

I do love this store & would have given it a 5 but for the fact that I almost lost my husband because one of their auto-mechanics put things back incorrectly. About 10 years ago after Canadian Tire fixed a problem, my husband was driving along a busy road approaching a red light when his car started to accelerate even though he had his foot on the brake. I don't remember how he managed to stop but he used the brakes, emergency brakes & slammed into something ... missing all the pedestrians coming out of the church & all the parked cars. He called BCAA to get his car towed to the nearest mechanic. They told him what was wrong & were very concerned for him & said he should go back to Canadian Tire. The BCAA driver kindly towed his car to Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire basically said Oops & fixed the mistake. We have never gone back to the mechanical part of the store. I love the rest of the store & all the great sales. The staff is always willing to check the warehouse for an item or check if the other Canadian Tire has any in stock. I go once a week for some little thing. So 5 star for the store but 1 star for the mechanical error that almost killed my husband. read more

Solid 3.75 stars, one of the better, nicer stores that's well-lit, huge and good customer service. They're located on the west side of Ironwood Plaza, deep south in Richmond. I like coming here because in the summer, they've got pretty good deals on functional stuff and patio furniture. Especially if you're looking for a cheaper type of BBQ's, as opposed to Home Depot. They also have home decor knick knacks at the front in bins, as well as deals in the back such as storage containers, I manage to pick up a few each year. No wonder my garage keeps on getting full of junk lol. But I'd stay away from their car batteries, despite their warranties and all, I'm willing to pay extra $$$ for all the driving I do, considering my long road trips to Abbotsford and Seattle lol. You get what you pay for....and the guys on my hockey team have enough stories about that. read more

There is a postal counter at this store now. I have good experiences shopping at this store. When a sale item is sold out, I am able to get a rain check. They actually later call me to let me know that the item is in. The staff do help me out when I am able to find someone. Otherwise, I go to the customer service desk and they call someone to the floor. Overall, I haven't had any issues shopping here. read more

The mechanical service is charged at a premium. Was told they did a complete diagnostic of all fuses and charged $110 plus taxes. Car came back filthy dirty and the radio was not getting power...aka fuse blown. They just told me the dirty car was not their fault and said come back again tomorrow ND well look at the fuse. The manager could have assessed the fuse issue in less than 3 mi utes and given me a $5 fix to make up for the $20 car wash, but they have no sense of customer service beyond d the book in front of them. I seem to need to learn this lesson over and over again with Canadian tire. They suck read more

This is probably the best Canadian Tire out of Richmond, Vancouver and Burnaby. I love their automotive service department, I've been coming here for a few years now. Make sure to book an appointment as they are quite often busy. Walking in might be a disappointment if you are in a hurry. This Canadian Tire is located near a lot of big name industrial warehouses and offices, lots of people dropping their cars off while going to work. The guys here are quick to book you in, and it looks like they have a good manager that keeps the shop running smoothly. They haven't tried to upsell me anything yet. I needed new wind shield wipers one time, and they called me first to ask if it was ok to put new ones in and the cost. So many shops do things without asking your permission and I hate the sticker shock at the end. As for the retail section, nice staff and it has that small town feel. The store is well organized, stocked, and lines move quick and they don't seem short staffed. Ironwood is a little piece of Richmond I love because people are so friendly!! I don't miss working in crazy downtown Vancouver, so glad to be back in this part of the Lower Mainland. read more

I had worst experience with Canadian Tire @ Steveston Hwy store. I wanted to buy top soil Product#099-0100-8 had phoned & was told to get Rain Check @ near by Canadian Tire store & get a Rain Check. I went to Cdn Tire on Capstan Way. After waiting in line was told sorry no rain checks can be issued. I phoned back to Steveston Store spoke to Customer Service had no satisfactory respond,i was transferred to Manager & her respond was i can only get on special order of 120 bags. On Web side Advertise 099-0100-8 Top soil Terre Vegetale brand $1.19 available for in store purchase only, O IN STOCK. Their was nothing mentioned of Quantity of minimum order . I spent two hours for running around for nothing. These kind of advertisement are misleading for consumer & causes stress. I will not recommend Canadian Tire store. read more

On July 10th, procured a Marine Battery. Waited well over 20 minutes for Receipt to be printed. Computer Printer Malfunction. Clerk frustrated. She had her Supervisor assist, no luck. Next guy tries, ends up going upstairs to print my receipt. Time 11:12 on Bat Invoice . Upstairs Printer reading 11.33! .Guy come back and I suggest discount for long wait. He lips back. Call and leave message with MGR Chris B "3" times that afternoon. No call back! Finally I phone back July 13 am. Speak to MGR Chris B. Claims he did not receive message's. Has no interest in my complaint. I try to explain that I have already procured the product, but had to wait over 20min's for a RECEIPT. I took my car in with no appointment at 430 on a Friday right before a long weekend. The day before I had taken it through a car wash and noticed a clunking sound coming from the undercarriage when I left. ( The car wash that caused the damage is Wash World on 4 road and Steveston Hwy, DO NOT GO THERE. Not only did I pay $21 for a car that did not come out clean, but I ended up with damage to my car and the management there takes no responsibility and offers no compensation, not even a refund for the car wash! Terrible customer service! ) I spoke to Xavier who was friendly and helpful. He said they could take a look at it and did mention the hourly charge which I agreed. Within 5 minutes of arriving they had my car up on the hoist, and 5 minutes later they had diagnosed the issue. A bolt had been knocked off the heat shield which is causing the clunking noise. Unfortunately the part needed to repair it is only available through the dealership. No fault of theirs. I pulled out my wallet expecting to pay and was told there was no charge. This kind of service is very rare these days, especially in the field of car repair, which has a bit of a bad reputation as far as honesty goes. I left very impressed and appreciative. The service department staff are great at this location. I take my vehicle here for oil changes and regular maintenance. Although they were very busy this morning, a Monday, they helped me out right away as I was having a terrible time with my battery keeping a charge. While other customers were sorting out their winter tire needs, they worked as fast as they could to help out everyone at the counter. Friendly and efficient. Thank you. read more
