I don't mind this Walmart. It's pretty standard, pretty clean and has a huge parking lot. I bike by the Pitt River and Trabuolay trails once or twice a week and when I'm done I'll usually just pick up a few items like milk or whatever. Pros Lots of parking Fabulous British food section - good prices Produce can be local and good Cheap prices on dry goods Competitive prices on other food items Good make up/beauty department - good prices Great processing returns - employees here are nice Cons Long line ups Too many self serve machines - painful for long purchases Too few cashiers NO ONE on the floor to assist except at the dressing rooms Always out of stock for one or more of the items on your list Items are priced wrong consistently Some employees are RUDE I find the good outweighs the bad but this self-serve thing is a pain.... for larger food orders I'll go to Save On or Safeway where they have cashiers and good customer service even if they are more expensive. read more

Everything's disorganized, things are not where they should be. The pan I was looking for I found by the carpets. I still don't know where it went as there was no space for it in the pans. But this is all typical for this store. Cashier asks me if I want to sign up for a MasterCard No thanks. Really? You should! No that's alright I have one thanks. But you could get another, it's good to have more money! Um no thanks, my credits bad I already tried and it didn't work.. (lying to get her to drop it) Oh but when was that? A month ago. As I try to "save the world" by buying organics and non GMO, Walmart isn't my favourite groceries store. But it can be handy at times, especially price wise. This Walmart has a huge parking which is convenient, it is clean and spacious. But the selection for fruits and vegetables is limited......very limited. Oh my old hood's trusty Walmart. It is typical of any Walmart really, except for the new one in PoCo, which is nicer. I like the pharmacy at this location because it is really prompt and open late. This particular Walmart also has the slippers that I like. They are the ones that slip on like flats. They are perfect when I go tutoring. However, they never seem to have my aloe gel. Can't win them all. Overall, Walmart has great deals, tons of parking, and good hours. Go if you need a late night fix of Clod Hoppers! read more

Well Walmart is Walmart. The one thing this place has that I love is a clinic that no one seems to use. This is good, but I've had very mixed feelings about the doc there. His knowledge and advice haven't really been on point. Still handy in a jam though. The returns here are stupid. I had to wait in line for 40 min at the front and was then told I had to go to the electronics section to get it looked at. I had to wait in a 20 min line for that and then 40 again at the front just to do a return. Their stock in store seems patchy. Lots of empty spots on the shelves where you might hope to find stuff. Vegetables seem to rot faster coming from here than anywhere else. read more

You know, I really don't understand how Walmart stays in business. Don't get me wrong, I love shopping there. I love the stuff that they sell. But the customer service is just awful. I don't know if the training is lazy or it's just the staff but for the love of God what is wrong with the people that work there. Not everyone is like that, but a great number of them just don't know how to say hi. Is it because they're not on their cellphones so they can't say hi. I have been waiting a long time for Walmart to come to Port Coquitlam. Phil Sayers the manager is a person who is kind, and considerate of the people's feelings. I am happy that the owners of Walmart decided to put the Walmart Super Center in my town. I now shop there for 90% of what I buy that includes groceries. I love the prices of the groceries. I now save money getting my groceries at Walmart. Plus our clothes. There is one thing that Walmart should buitld are seat covers outside for when it rains. When people have to wait for pickup they don't have a cover to wait under. Otherwise we are totally happy with Walmart. read more

*** WARNING*** to everyone who shops there! Customer service at this Walmart is AWFUL. The people and managers in the customer service are some of the worst I've ever dealt with. Also their return policy is the totally unreasonable. I bought a sweeper there worth $39.99 and I am not sure where I put the receipt, it happens, normal people loose receipts. The product was unopened. The lady told me I need to provide the exact date and card which I paid on. I took a guess, I don't know I shop there several times a week. I stood around for 30 mins while someone in the office tried to find the receipt. They couldn't find it, I explained well maybe it was a week earlier or later, that's when the attitude started. Ok people, really .... does everyone remember exactly the day and card that they bought everything??? The customer service lady outright accused me of buying it somewhere else and trying to return it there!!! I was outraged. I am not a liar and explained I just wanted a store credit to but a more expensive vacuum. They refused to give me anything unless I could provide a receipt or date and payment card!!! The manager was of now help either and also quite rude. FYI - This is their policy, no exceptions, I've spoke to other members of the community that have experienced the same thing. One lady received a charcoal bbq as a house warming gift and she wanted to exchange it for a propane one. Again, the box was unopened. She went through the same thing I did except in her case the box actually says imported by Walmart - she argued how could I have bought it anywhere else when your name is on the box!!! In her case the lady that bought her the gift had a stroke and was hospitalized. There was no way of her getting the date and payment card info. She spoke to the manager and even called and spoke to the district manager and was told she is out of luck unless she can provide a receipt and payment info. I think everyone would agree this is outrageous! A big corporation like Walmart implementing such a policy! Please spread the word! Just because they are a big company doesn't mean they should be allowed to get away with it!!! read more
