Lots of snack food, breakfast foods and drinks at discount prices. If you go in hoping to get something in particular, I'm afraid you will likely be disappointed. If on the other hand you're just looking for bargains, this place is hard to beat. Keep your wits about you and you'll do well here - just be sure to check the expiry dates as some items are closer to expiry than others.

The stop had what she was seeking, and at the same time, provided a nice surprise find as well -- a great deal on some 'just past' the best-before-date of 'Ocean Spray, tinned cranberry sauce'. Originally sticker priced at $1.49 Cdn per tin, it was now priced at $0.25 per tin -- a bargain not to be missed. Thanks to her catch, it included four tins for us (and yea, it was all the 'whole cranberry' variety, which we favour over the 'jellied' stuff). With Easter coming, I am sure there will be a use for some (with some poultry), but regardless, we always enjoy it with any poultry and several meats at any time, and find it's great in pancakes, on french toast, baking powder biscuits, and such.

This non profit should be audited by the CRA because their prices are way too high and the people who it is supposed to be helping (the poor) are getting gouged for stale, overpriced, expired food. What a disappointment this place is! They wanted $5 for a 4 L milk that expires in 2 days and it is $4.27 at Walmart with a 15 day expiry date! Just SAD! You have to be referred to shop here so the prices should be low they are NOT! Go to the food bank instead.

Every single visit feels like I'm being treated as a criminal. The owner constantly sends employees to trail me around the aisles as if I'm shoplifting -- despite the fact that I've been a long-time paying customer. One incident that clearly triggered this nonsense was when I was injured and using a cane. I was juggling my cane, shopping bag, and items, realized I forgot something, and walked back to add it to my purchase before paying. I don't live in the neighbourhood, but I was told this store was located at Coquitlam Centre until it moved to the area. I was looking around and they had laundry baskets for 40.00!, house decor for 20, Gordon Ramsay cookware.. So if you're thinking "dollar and cents" it's not. I was looking for a birthday card and one section had a sign that read "cards are regular price and maybe up to 9.99" I laughed because I bet people started to complain when the got to the cash register to pay for a birthday card that was 9.99, when they were probably expecting 1.00. I priced a hardwood dog kennel there last week at $160 and on line it was $299 US. They have fabulous one off furniture deals, clothing for the family, food and other "seconds". I like to go and quickly check their linens section. It is a great spot to pick up duvet covers for under $40. At christmas they have vast amounts of those decor items your Aunt Eunice loves, at great prices.
