Dollar and cents more like ten dollars and up... This…read morelocation was vacant for about a year until Dollar and cent took over.. I work at this strip mall and I've notice it become more busier since this store opened up. I don't live in the neighbourhood, but I was told this store was located at Coquitlam Centre until it moved to the area. I was really excited to see another store open up especially a "dollar store", but to my surprise not much in this store was for a dollar. I was looking around and they had laundry baskets for 40.00!, house decor for 20, Gordon Ramsay cookware.. So if you're thinking "dollar and cents" it's not. I was looking for a birthday card and one section had a sign that read "cards are regular price and maybe up to 9.99" I laughed because I bet people started to complain when the got to the cash register to pay for a birthday card that was 9.99, when they were probably expecting 1.00. It's a big store and they do have things that at under 2 dollars not much but they do. The store is big use to be a Rogers video, but I wouldn't call it a dollar store more like a gift store! I gave it 3 stars because I do like that it brings business to the area and I can spend time here on my break looking at over priced useless things! (:

This is NOT the place to go if you want to social distance!…read moreThe customers were fine, but I was there for about 20 minutes and in that time 4 of the staff almost walked into me. They were squeezing past customers to get where they were going and came within a foot of my daughter and I many times. I used to like this store, but I will not be going back.

Tldr: I would recommend you go there instead. The Coquitlam location has a rather poor layout with narrow aisles and food products spread throughout the store. Most of not all are past their best by date which you'll hear Bianca herself explaining does not mean they're expired. Yes she has her own in store promotional videos playing on repeat. Generally I would expect items that other supermarkets have passed on to be heavily discounted. Some of the prices here are competitive, others seem haphazard. It feels a bit slapstick as if the people who price items at value village are putting in a shift here. I digress - once in awhile you'll come across something good - perhaps popcorn or another snack, perhaps a gallon can of beans, perhaps a Nike swimsuit or t- shirt with some loose threads. Generally though, go in with low expectations and you might be surprised. Plenty of parking out front and the location is just around the corner from The Brick(& a value village).

On Tuesday it is seniors day on food so bring your parents and grandparents. The service was great as the cashiers will also ask the age of your parents and grandparents to see if they qualify on savings on food. This place has great value on well....everything! Pro-tip check the best before date on food as some items are past their best before dates but are still OK and priced cheaply because of it. If you need anything for your home including rugs, appliances, toys, clothes they have that too. In a way this place is like a super dollar store where you can still find a lot of things for less. Your dollar will go father at Bianca Amor's!

Large selection of new and past issues of comics to browse from…read more This is the first comic book shop I have found in Coquitlam (Port Moody). It's kind of located away from the main strip in a non-descript building. Once you enter, head to the far wall for all the latest comics. On your way there, you'll also find aisles and aisles filled with boxes of old comics. A quick perusal had me finding 20+ year old comics available. Comics are very well organized with labeled partitions. I had no trouble locating some of my favorite titles. That said, there were many back issues missing from the title I was pursuing. Prices, however, we're good since they were virtually cover price for 3-4 year old comics. The staff are friendly. In the short time I was there, a few regulars dropped by and were greeted like long-time friends. This store also has a large selection of Dungeons and Dragons figures.....the kind that you paint and role-play with. Not my thing, but it's available if you like that sort of thing. Also, they have a small selection of action figures, statues and busts of comic book characters, although prices seem a bit higher than I have seen in Vancouver shops. All in all, a good way to relive your childhood one comic book at a time.

Well, they have a 'real life' comic-book-guy. (seriously). This must count for one star at least…read more Of all things to say... this place is a 'legit' comic store. I hope every town or city has one like this. I don't know if comic-book-guy works there anymore, but I used to go in at super random times, and - without fail - there would always be a debate/discussion/nerd-out on (and this is all a positive): - Who was stronger, Green Hulk or Grey hulk? - Why your D/D character can't carry his battle axe upright on his back. - The new Marvel movie (pick your poison) was just so wrong! - Why DC comics are an eighth of a centimetre taller than Marvel - Singing lyrics to some obscure Gen X indie band. - Sheer silence if a hot girl I was dating accompanied me in. lol. Not kidding. Conversations would come to a full stop as we entered the room. Their older dungeony location was more... 'mom's old basement' - haven't been in the new place so really can't comment on them now... But the owners and his peons have been around for decades - so that's pretty rad. Bringing the authentic (and may I add ORIGINAL) comic-book-geek-chic to the Tri Cities. A suburban comic institution if you will.
