I was looking for some cheapo hand tools and the selection isn't the greatest. Also the aisles are a bit on the narrow side. Guess they were trying to cram in 1 more row of goodies. There is a security guy planted right at the exit. I feel bad for him. How would you ever catch a shoplifter here? Random piece of trivia: this place used to be a Blockbuster video store. For example I will have them go to the end of the checkout and bag our items in a bag with another stores logo, and she will say we took that bag from there. Last I checked dollar tree doesn't sell Lululemon or Purdy's chocolate. She also has NEVER said thank you. Just tosses our receipt down and looks away. Now there is a newer cashier there that does not know how to count Canadian coins and embarrassed me in line. I had to count my change for her twice, both times she then recounted it and said I was short. I was not, and if she knew the value of each coin it could have saved me the frustration and embarrassment. When I tried to explain the value of the coins to her she tossed the in the till before I could prove it. It's not like it was a handful, it was three quarters and four nickels. She also told me to grab my own receipt... out of the machine.

You can find a lot of things in here from gardening and kids stuff, ribbons and wrapping paper, binders and pens and a lot more. It is one of the places that sells things that don't look like they can fall apart easily and they have some of the things that you can't find in other dollar stores such as pots and trellis for gardening. It is metered parking on the side street and prices are upwards from $1 to $20, but the items are nicer. They don't have as much food items as other dollar stores, but they have quite a selection on the themes that they do have.

The area is very dirty and not well maintained. Once in the store the shelves are very high and narrow. It is a very overwhelming feeling if you are sensitive to small spaces/claustrophobic. The amount of items in there is very overwhelming as well. I didn't stay long and mostly stuck to the snacks and candy. They have a large area near the check out that has candy, gum etc. Purchased an aero bar, coffee crisp, kit kit and toffee candy bar. For 4 candy bars (I either didn't get a receipt, didn't take it or lost it but it was $4.07 USD. There were 3 self check outs and one staff there to check out as well. Saw employees in aisles but only one at registers. Overall it was an underwhelming and overwhelming experience and I would not go out of my way to go back if in the area.

He chased me and my friend who are literally 12 and 13 years old out of the store calling us liars and made us come back and pay money for something we didn't do. other customers even came up to us while the worker was screaming at us, and they said that they saw us and knew that we didn't do it. So the man made us pay money for something we didn't do, chased us out of the store, and yelled at us calling us liars for something we didn't do.

This is, without question, the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time…read more Over the course of a week, we spent hundreds of dollars at this Dollar Tree preparing for our twins' 5th birthday. On the morning of their party, we came back to buy even more balloons and supplies. We asked if they could fill a few balloons we'd purchased elsewhere and made it clear we were happy to pay whatever they charged. The answer? A flat "no." I understand stores have policies, but this location seems to have confused "policy" with "we don't care." There wasn't even the slightest attempt to help or offer an alternative. After taking hundreds of our dollars all week, they couldn't be bothered to provide a service we were willing to pay for. It's hard to imagine a business that values customers less than this one. They had every opportunity to create a loyal, repeat customer and instead chose to be rigid, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping a family on the morning of two little kids' birthday party. Customer service isn't just scanning items and taking people's money. It's about treating people with a basic level of courtesy and recognizing when a tiny bit of flexibility could make someone's day. Apparently, that's too much to ask at this location. We'll be taking our business elsewhere from now on, and I'd encourage anyone who expects even average customer service to do the same. Another dollar tree further from our home was happy help. Parking is available along the side streets, as well as Hastings after 1800. The interior is nice and bright. The space is quite large, so they have a pretty good selection of stuff. Special mention goes to their super glue selection - they have several different sizes. They even have a pack containing a bunch of tiny tubes. Anyone who has used a larger tube before knows that it always dries out before way before you can use up the product. Staff were friendly quick. I will definitely be back.
