This wedding hall venue sits on the water... this is the selling point here…read more I came to celebrate a wedding of a close friend and loved the room we had the event in. It was small yet cozy. As for the food, it was buffet style... good, but not lavishly good. Could be what the groom & bride chose rather than a menu option. Nontheless, this was a fun night and great experience. FYI: On site valet service for parking.

We had visited this place in January and fell in love with it, and thought that it was perfect due to the view of the water, and the cocktail hour as well as ballroom plus the bar. Also due to large families on both sides, we were looking at catering halls to have my dad's party at. It was a perfect setup! This was also the first place we went to while party planning, and the one we decided on, ultimately due to price. Can't remember the name of the person who helped us, but very communicative and understood our needs. My only suggestion is to maybe provide the planning people to try their food. He listened to our needs, and was accommodating, which is important. Even threw in cocktail hour options for us. Party day was Saturday May 10th 2025. Loved the outdoor area as being outside was enjoyable. Cocktail hour was also enjoyable with foods like chicken dumpling, coconut shrimp, and more! They had plenty of cold stuff like pasta salads, salad, butternut squash, and some fruit. Only feedback is maybe more items like potato salad, maybe have some of the hot items so that people can just get up and get more. then came time to be inside the ballroom-- and it was beautiful and big! There was dancing, cocktails, and fun galore. Loved my shirley temple that i ordered-- with the waitress. Speaking about the waitresses, they were very pleasant- however, they did take items off the table that maybe someone wasn't done with that item. Trust me, i've been a server at a restaurant- silent serving is a thing, but never assume someone is done, or take their plates without asking. that's my only feedback-- oh and my mom asked that the favors be on the tables, and there was 2: a bottle opener, and something else plus a pen. My mom asked to evenly spread out throughout the tables, but some people got the same favors..... okay. Maybe whoever did that didn't know that there was 2 different items. anyways. Food was also very good: our option was menu options with pasta, which was penne ala vodka, salad, and an entree choice of figlet magion, salmon, and chicken sambolka. There are more options for the dinner, but we chose that. Food was very good, and lots of people like their food. I liked the salmon, for instance. others like their steak, although the lighting made it look well-done when they ordered medium! lol Sundae bar was the best, but there should have been more toppings like gummy bears, or worms, chocolate syrup, whipped cream! Athough kudos that they had both vanila and chocolate ice cream. Cake was also very good and moist too! Loved it here and highly recommend!

We had a ~100 person wedding, and Ned did the flowers and decorations for our ceremony at the historic Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow and our reception at Windrose on Hudson in Ossining. Not only was the decor absolutely stunning, every moment of working with Ned was an absolute delight! Ned is an excellent listener; he took in our ideas for the wedding decor and helped give them direction. His suggestions were helpful and inventive; he really made us feel like we were collaborating on the design process. He also made it a lot of fun - we looked forward to every time we met! Ned was extraordinarily generous with his time - in person, by phone, and by text/email. Whether it was talking through ideas or visiting the ceremony and reception sites in advance, he always made sure we could rest easy knowing that he had things well in hand. Ned also collaborated well with our venues and our vendors, who told us how much they enjoyed working with him. Ned and his team efficiently and carefully had things set up on time at all of our multiple locations. My husband and I really appreciated that Ned worked with our budget, collaborating closely with us to keep costs under control while still achieving the look and feel we wanted. He was not territorial and partnered with us when we were able to source some materials directly at a lower price. Speaking of the look and feel, I'm pretty sure our guests took as many photos of the centerpieces Ned created as they did of my husband and me! Truly unique and stunning, they perfectly achieved our goal of blending the different cultures my husband and I brought to the wedding (Italian, Hudson Valley, Chinese, etc.). Ned also has a great attention to detail, helping us think through all of the little decisions about design and placement of peripheral items as well without making each series of decisions feel overwhelming or exhausting. All in all, working with Ned was one of our favorite parts of the wedding experience; we are so glad that we partnered with him to create our special day!

Tallman Beach & Pool Club - Captain's Curse cocktail, served in a "bucket". I miss being able to get almost any drink in a quart container but this'll do

It was nice to drive to them whenever we wanted, for a day in the sun and water. Now that we've found Tallman Beach & Pool Club, we are happy to have a place that's honestly comparable to the entry price for the Westchester pools, AND serves good food and alcohol. You can't go wrong with their fries, hotdogs and pizzas. One of the security guys said that their BEC is really good. I'll have to try that out next year. The drive is not that big of a deal and it's always best to arrive early, especially on weekends, because when they're full, you will be turned away. Parking can be limited depending on what time you get there. They have regular events and live music all of the time. The showers are warm and the pool is huge. They have chairs and deck recliners, poolside, and plenty of umbrellas, but again, secure your spot early. They have servers that come around to take your order and clear things away. Sometimes they'll bring your order to you buy sometimes you'll have to go and get it yourself, especially if they're busy. They seem to be under new management, and whole some things have changed, like their drinks, most things have remained the same. I do miss being able to get a LIT in a "bucket". Now they only allow you to get kne particular signature drink, bucket-style. Hopefully that changes, they change the drink, or at least give more than one option. Not everyone wants a neon-colored beverage. We have been allowed to bring a small kickboard with no issue. It's always a party vibe and there are plenty of families, at east during the week. I've heard that the weekends can get a bit rowdy but that is to be expected and I hope no one complains or causes a ruckus, where they have to change how they serve patrons. They check you bags before you're even allowed to get to the entry point to pay. They have Wi-Fi and plenty of staff keeping the bathrooms clean. They have security and a DJ. It is a nice pool that we love to visit. The lantern flies have taken over the surrounding trees and they'll be on the branches, all clustered and gross-looking when they're adolescents. When they mature and sprout wings, they dive-bomb into the pool and around where you're sitting. That gets to be annoying because they're everywhere and disgusting. It's a small price to pay for some fun in the sun. Tallman is our annual summer pilgrimage, and we visit as often as we can.

Either than that we had a great time .
