My review is completely on attending an event at the Castle--I do not know anything about planning events with them etc. The service staff were very friendly and prompt for the Baby Shower I attended. The bartenders also were super efficient and friendly when making drinks. Even the coat check employee was friendly and very efficient. The food was catered from an outside Indian Restaurant and it was AMAZING. The venue was very nice and comfortable--they had decorated the stage for the Baby Shower and they also had a very fun photo booth. The large banquet room was nice and spacious (this was a VERY large Baby Shower-almost similar to a wedding). I have to admit--I did not feel like I was in Yonkers (it felt more like an upscale/safe area of Westchester.) I look forward to getting invited to another event in the future at this venue. read more

I chose this venue for my wedding in November '25 and it did not disappoint. Everything from the food, assembly, and decor was perfection. The updated bridal suite was absolutely gorgeous. Went to a2 events here. One was a sweet 16 in May and a wedding in October. Place is decently sized and fit alot of people. Staff are very friendly and helpfuñ. Batjroom area nice and clean too. Doest look like much from outside and its sketchy when you see the parking the parking lot and the condition of the sidewalk and neighborhood. But inside is a whole nother world. read more

I hosted my daughter's Sweet 16 celebration here. Shaz was very kind and helpful helping me choose the menu and organize the agenda. Shaz kindly answered all my questions and went out of her way to provide table diagrams and suggestions. We explained that we would be having a christian party with no dancing. The day of the event, I found that Manoj was the banquet manager. There was a low number of service staff attending the tables. The worse thing is that Manoj changed the dinner schedule and started dinner 30 mins. later than what I had already planned with Shaz. He essentially decreased the eating window time so my guests had less time to eat. The dinner service was rushed, and guests were not served drinks. I had to constantly chase Manoj because he was not available. My guests glasses were empty because they were not offered drinks. The Air Conditioner was off the whole time. Manoj by behaving line this made food scarce and rationed all the food. When I went to serve myself he was carefully watching me plate myself. I did not feel comfortable. At one point I saw Manoj screaming at a young male server serving the guests ice cream. While Shaz made a lot of promises that she did not deliver on, the space was lovely. Manoj made the eating experience a horrible memory and was not a good host. If I needed to pay more money so that my guests had more food, I would have done that. Food was scarce, and not readily available. I paid for a service I did not receive. I should not be chasing Manoj and asking for more food. My guests should have been made feel welcomed and taken care of, in the food department. The day of the event, Shaz was in her office and did not come to check how things were going, she said that Manoj was in charge. I do not recommend this venue. They will make promises they cannot deliver. Be careful with the bait and switch. read more

Attended a friend's wedding at this venue. It has its own private lot, which is convenient. The wedding was in the Grand Ballroom on the second floor. It was a very large space and it was pretty nice too. Cocktail hour had the food served in a smaller room on the second floor with a bar. The food for cocktail hour was good. Dinner buffet was good as well. Both were on par with the majority of Indian restaurants. The staff was attentive at clearing out plates and such, since the food was served buffet style. The wedding was fun. The space was nice, but the grounds weren't too impressive. I'm guessing it would be rare for a venue in Yonkers to have any sort of large scale outdoor gardens as is common in the more spacious suburbs. read more

We booked my sister's sweet 16 with Vishnu a few months back (fall '23) and were really excited to have the event there bc the place was very nice and he was very helpful and had great customer service. The day of the event came and we were extremely disappointed with the service provided. I came in at 11am to go over details and spoke to Shay. She wrote down some details that she wasn't aware of bc she wasn't the one who booked the event. I came back at 4pm and she was a doing a sales pitch instead of helping us. I was told she was the maitre d. The room wasn't ready by the time the event started at 5. I had to explain to Mario again what I had told Shay. I asked who the maitre d was and Mario stated that he was, and then I was told it was another woman and then I was told it was Shay. The maitre d was nowhere to be found when the event started. There was no clear leadership. The numbers of the table werent ready. They missed 1 entire table for guests and started setting it up close to 5. There was absolutely no clarity as to who was going to be in charge. We paid a Maitre D fee for a reason so I'm extremely disappointed and insulted that it seemed like they didn't care. The food was mediocre at best. The chicken parm smelled odd. The cocktail hour was disappointing. They didn't have plates or utensils so the guests could have with the hors d'oeuvres. They didn't give us our champagne glasses when we were toasting. One of our guests took a tray herself and gave them out herself to myself my mother grandma and brother when we were about to toast. Shay was just standing around and not doing what she was paid for. The servers didn't offer our guests drinks and they removed the cake from the tables very quickly throwing a lot of it away. Again I wish I could give them a good review bc I had high expectations, but it's not deserved. I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend booking here. read more

Come to this lunch buffet! Today there is chicken wings,sesame chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, Mac and cheese, broccoli and mixed veg, pork chops, boneless BBQ ribs. These items change daily. Then they always have Polish foods: kielbasa, pierogies, stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut. Delicious! Mixed green salad, rolls and soup of the day. Coffee and small pastries. This is a delicious buffet for about 12 dollars. Service excellent and friendly. Call if the menu is not posted on Facebook. I've enjoyed every lunch here, especially homemade pierogies! read more

Ambiance/Decor/Atmosphere: Brick exterior that is castle like in appearance, obviously, warm autumn browns and reds combined with elegant lighting and mirror use to bring a slightly upscale atmosphere that doesn't come off pretentious or outrageous. Pretty clean and the limited use of linens and cloths in favor of lighter chairs presents a mobility plus for patrons to move around the tables. Also, decorated for Christmas with Santa statues and Christmas trees further enhancing the holiday vibe. Noise/sound level: Acoustics are acceptable for music playing and DJing, but that won't really distract or take away from conversation to be had while you're at the Castle. Quality of sound equipment is more important anyway. Menu: Banquet style variety; my office opted for a buffet that included appetizers and salads you would find at any other catering hall. Service: Pretty good; maître d' was really involved and attentive taking care of preparations, and food and drink set up. The wait staff is pretty accommodating, friendly, and attentive as well. Whatever you wanted they got you politely, even a take out box to take buffet food home. Food: Decent banquet hall quality, but not outstanding. We had eggplant parm, grilled chicken, sausage and peppers, tortellini alfredo, salad, potato salad, garlic shrimp, and samosas. Some cocktail appetizers included fried zucchini, meatballs, and mini rubens. The food was ok, not spectacular, but good enough to eat more. Desserts included mini cheesecakes, pies, cannolis, and fruits. Bar: Full, open bar for the event, and close to the room we were in, in case anyone wanted to stay later and get wasted. Price: I'd imagine the pricing could be decent or expensive depending on the room you book. I heard open bar was pretty cheap per person so I bet the event holder got a deal. Overall: Pretty nice hall in Yonkers; not from or living in the area, but if I know of anyone around there needing an event hall I'd recommend the Castle. Came for a wedding. Decor downstairs inside reminds you of a 60s disco tv show with its mirrored columns and waterfall glass chandeliers. Wait staff is mostly attentive with clearing dishes and asking if you wanted a drink. Upstairs ballroom is/can be gorgeous but the floor is a little sticky. Wish I could give this place zero stars! Don't drink anything from this place! Bartenders are putting ice in glasses with their bare hands- no gloves or anything- and the "clean" glasses from the dish washer straight on the floor in the cleaning tray. They then promptly used their feet to kick it out of their way. You don't have to have a food service background to know how gross that is. read more

Plenty of parking, food was great, pastries tasted freshly made. The hall has a great layout as well. We paid top shelf and had to speak with our wedding coordinator on how they didn't put out the good liquor. I couldn't even have a drink until they put out liquor every respectable bar should have. I'm being generous with my three stars because I still like the owner, despite him letting some bad practices rock. Major boo boo was having the fire alarms go off at 9, countless times until (by presumably magic) we left around 11pm. Needless to say, there was no (literal) fire. It's no surprise that this venue has such a bad review already. Just simply trying to engage with them was a disaster. The pricing we were promised on the phone were complete different from when we met the newbie that just started (Suche) who quoted us. Poor guy was not the one to quote and did the best he could be he was out of his league. The gentleman Harrison was very rude and arrogant. He had no customer service and by the time we talked to him on the phone and he emailed us, he had changed the price. He would not allow for a food tasting instead he told us to come in for a lunch and check online for the menu. "If I let everyone trying to do a wedding taste I would not be running a business" They lacked customer service, organization and just were pompous and rude. I had my sweet 16 here back when it was the polish center. I had my sweet 16 there almost 10 years ago and the place look exactly the same. My parents paid $35 per head for beer wine and soda for 100 people. I went back a couple of days ago and they said $65 per head for 125 people for beer wine and soda for a wedding. For the same hall on the first floor, and the place looks like it's from the 70's. The $65 doesn't even include the cake. Not worth it, I'll take my money over to another venue. read more

This place used to be called the polish center, it however closed down. It was bought and renamed I came here with my wife for a wedding the venue is huge and has two floors. The first floor can be used for smaller get togethers and occasions while the second floor is used for bigger parties. We were I the 2nd floor because it was for a big party almost 400 people I would say. Let's start with the pros, the place is fully renovated and looks nice the staff was friendly and helpful parking was made easy by the parking staff and the bartenders were nice. The food here was very bad we were given a simple salad with no dressing on it the pasta had no flavor and felt as if it was from Ragu bought in shoprite. The main course we had the option of chicken or beef and I chose the steak. The quality of the steak was not great I didn't really enjoy it to much it had way to much fat on it. The chicken my wife had it had no flavor and no seasoning. The mashed potatoes tasted as if they came from a box of instant mash. I wouldn't have a part here unless I talk with the manager and make sure the quality of food being served is much better. read more

The staffs were rude to my guest, their air conditioner was not working on the hottest day in the summer which led to my guests leaving early because they could take the heat. They promised that you will have a Matron of D assigned but NO ONE showed up. There was no manager at the site on my event date, the guy that was covering as the assistant coordinator simply ran away because he couldn't fix all the problems that were addressed on the event date. I called days after my event to complain to the general manager name Loretta about the issues and every time I called they kept telling me that she's not around. I left few messages and she hasn't returned my call till this moment as I'm writting. They are very unprofessional. They do not value their customers. I recently hosted an event at Castle Royal and my experience was so hostile that I felt compelled to write about it. I won't bore you all with the details but just feel the need to warn you not to book your event at this place. We decided on this place after speaking with the female manager, Yvette, who was extremely gracious, accomodating and a great source of information. Because of her we felt welcomed and happy about choosing this place. However, that feeling did not last long. We then had the displeasure of working with her co-manager, a brusque and rude man who should really look for another job since dealing with humans is not his forte. As a paying customer, I have never met someone who spoke to clients in the condescending manner in which he spoke to us. Anytime we had a question on set up, menu, drinks, we were met with numerous eye rolls. The only saving grace of this place is the great food- the chef should really think about opening up his own place. The waitstaff and bartenders were also wonderful. However, the manager at this place should consider his chosen profession and recognize that part of his job is dealing with people! read more
