The food is unbelievable, it feels like you're in Europe, and I loved the way it feels so personal being here. We were treated so nicely and just enjoyed everything about this place. Rarely, in fact never do I give a five star review especially after reading @hannaraskin excellent online treatise on how to write a restaurant review. However this is one of those exceptional times at an exceptional period that I felt it was merited. Joseyane's "le moulin" at the pier in Yonkers is providing a service that is so appropriate now that I couldn't resist. Mother's Day dinner,French style, with curbside pick up that I didn't have to prepare is just what this doctor ordered. We had our dinner last night, a little early. The crab cake appetizer served over a spring mix which seemed like it had just been picked as well as sautéed aubergine stacked above sliced zucchini was the perfect start for a perfectly prepared rosy duck breast with sweet potatoes and julienned onions and zucchini. The salmon following the aubergine was served with a medley of multicolored cherry tomatoes and wild mushrooms which brightened up an otherwise somewhat somber pre Mother's Day celebration. Great French cooking in Yonkers at any time is tte most that anyone could hope for. Wine service was provided from the local cellar and started out with a delicious crémant from Francois Baur in Turkhem. The main course was accompanied by a very special pinot from the Mercury region that we had been saving since our 50th anniversary trip two years ago. It had a real funky nose which took us right back to our wine tasting that day. Although a terrific French bakery like the one from Lyon profiled in the recent New Yorker article would be a welcome addition to the food scene, things are OK here. In fact the dessert last night which consisted of a terrific ganache and a mixed berry fruit tarte were as good as any I have had at a Belgian or French patisserie on the other side of the pond. Incredible... Josie is an incredible restaurant owner who made sure our night was more than perfect. Great ambiance in this small but cozy restaurant. We chose from a great selection of wines to compliment our meal. We started off with a little meat and cheese board which was served on a tree trunk and had more food on it than two people could eat! Anything but little! We cleaned the tree trunk off and moved onto our beautifully cooked steak for entree with a side of steamed vegetables. Everything was cooked so perfectly and presented beautifully. Would come here over and over again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you, Josie for an amazing night. read more

Josyane really knows how to cook a French Cuisine. We had Charcuterie, French onion soup, Cassoulet Duck and Pork Milanese. They were amazing and well cooked. The wine she recommended was great. The space is very cozy and neat with a gray palette dining room and a French decoration touch. The art works in the space were nicely selected and fun. The crips baguette was very good as well. It's difficult to recommend any standouts/must-haves because, in my experience, all are superior. My 4 dinner companions had either the lamb, the salmon and I had the cod served on a bed of spinach and white bean puree. Everyone was very pleased. Can't wait to return! Downtown Yonkers, from the waterfront to just east of Getty Square, now has a selection of good restaurants for any occasion. They range from great taquerias in spaces that feel like food trucks, to X2O's haute cuisine and gorgeous dining room. Le Moulin fills in yet another space on the neighborhood's menu. It is located steps from the Yonkers MetroNorth/Amtrak station. Close to busy Bee-Line Bus stops that lead to many points in Westchester and the Bronx. Josyane made my Daughter's Baby shower event on Saturday June 17th absolutely spectacular. I don't think I can say enough about the ambiance of Le Moulin, the quality and presentation of the food, and her servers' professionalism. The menu consisted of Cheese Allumete, artichoke souffle, wild mushroom rissoto and a beautiful vegetable crudite and cheese platter to start. Beef Tenderloin with Mustard Mouse, roast turkey with chutney, proscuitto and goat cheese curried chicken were all presented on various organic grain breads and were delightful. The Grilled Salmon Skewers were artfully cooked. I never met anyone with such passion as Josie. She was tremendous and made the day memorable. Absolument fantastique! read more

The food was terrible as well as the service. Most of the food is day old chicken or whatever they served at that previous catered event leftovers. If you are looking for a lack luster meal that will leave you looking forward to getting home so you make something better meal, then go here I suppose.
