I do not recommend Hudson Auto. I accompanied a friend here and personally witnessed what I consider predatory behavior. The staff are very 'slick' and, in my opinion, will lie right to your face to close a deal. ​They claimed to have performed a 'multi-point inspection' on a car thay sold, yet I personally used an Alltel code reader on the lot and found catastrophic 'Lost Communication' codes and engine faults they 'missed.' Even more suspicious: they tried to claimthere were major issues with my friend's trade-in just to lowball her value, when there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. ​They sold a defective car for nearly double its market value and then offered a measly $100 reimbursement for a $500 tow when the engine failed. After replacing a part at a very high price, a critical metal bolt was missing. They replaced it with a plastic screw which did not do the job. Caused my check engine light to come on, my vehicle to run terrible. Another shop fixed problems I believe were caused by Hudson Auto Center. Bought from them years ago and it was a mess. They were in my opinion the worst dealership I've ever bought from. It's a really long story which involves me on the side of interstate 5 alone with a flat tire and a flat spare. I've learned since then to check things more closely. I was a young woman and was naive to think they wouldn't sell me a car with bad tires and a flat spare. I missed a doctor's appointment because of this. Deceptive Tactics - Avoid Hudson Auto Center I was contacted by Jearomy from Hudson Auto Center about a RAV4 I was selling. I made it clear that I wasn't interested in a consignment deal and offered to sell the vehicle outright for $18K. Jearomy responded by saying they would buy the vehicle for that price and assured me there would be no games involved--just bring the car in, and they'd cut me a check for $18K. When I arrived, everything quickly fell apart. Key staff members mysteriously "left" just as I pulled in, and after being left waiting for nearly an hour, it was clear they had no intention of buying the car as they had promised. Instead of completing the sale, Jearomy and his team treated the entire situation as if it were a consignment deal, dragging their feet and making excuses. Despite the promises of an easy, straightforward sale, they wasted my time and never followed through. Hudson Auto Center's tactics are slimy and misleading. They will tell you what you want to hear, but once you're there, it's a whole different story. Awesome! We went in to see a car, but due to tax returns, a lot of cars were gone. The car we went to look at wasn't as nice as we thought, but the guy that helped us, Don, was SO helpful. He wasn't pushy at ALL! He wasn't one of those men dressed in a suit that try to force you into getting the lemon of the lot. He even took down my name and number and told me that if he saw a good car at one of the auctions that met my needs, in my price range, he'd give me a call! AMAZING customer service. NOTE: Check their website BEFORE you go in. Since this is a small business and there are actually two separate lots, the price reductions don't always get to the other lot right away. Sometimes the cars will LOOK like they're more on the lot, but the price is actually lower. They pull up the page for the car before you buy, though, and will tell you the true price. They DID help me get into a car with bad credit. The gentleman who assisted me was a nice guy and did do a lot of leg work to get me financing, and I appreciate that. The car was leaking coolant when I test drove it. They said they would replace radiator (not knowing that was the issue). They would not let me have anything in writing saying they would do the work. They installed a radiator, I drove it home, next day I was stranded because all coolant violently ejected while driving. They took it back and gave me a 30 year old loaner, which they stressed was not protocol many times and made me feel guilty for asking for a loaner. This continued 2 more times. They failed to fix the issue. The 2nd failure was barely 2 miles away from the dealership after picking it up, was stranded and had to get the manager to come pick me and my Dad up. They gave me a nicer loaner car this time. They have it again, and on the way home again, the coolant goes. and I am stranded. $200.00 in towing bills for me. This time they gave me a 26 year old loaner. And stressed how it was not protocol and that they were doing me favor. Oh wait, after the first time, the two techs drove to my house, were rude, were swearing and calling my car a piece of shit, and then left with barely a word to me. I am now in the process of replacing all the work they did. My coolant started leaking about a month after I brought the car home for the 4th time. They overtightened and broke the thermostat housing and the gasket was pinched. They DID NOT replace the thermostat when they did the thermostat housing, its 8 dollars. They used a non high temp RTV to try to seal everything up. but didn't even apply it right. So I have been making my CAR PAYMENT and FULL COVERAGE insurance on a car that has been sitting since November. I went to a dealership to find a slightly better car than my old Volvo. I lost my job due to to my car not working. Now I am stuck with nearly 450.00 a month in car related bills, and I have been slowly buying all the parts that they should have fixed in the 3 times it was in the shop. I am quite literally stuck. I would not advise buying a car here that is older than 2010. And if you do, get it checked out by a mechanic. :\ read more

Stay away from this place. Purchased a 20 year old Ford Ranger, which they said their mechanics had gone over and ensured it was safe and mechanically sound. Within a few weeks it was leaking lots of oil, and just spent $1500 for new filters, starter, battery, brake fluid. All Hudson did was make sure the lights work. Will never go there again! read more

I bought a car a year ago from Hudson Auto Center that ended up being completely rust rotted underneath. A month after I drove it home one of my rear control arms fell off the car (luckily I had just pulled into my driveway when this happened and not when I was driving highway speeds coming back from Seattle). Hudson "fixed" that problem while completely ignoring all the other repairs it needed, even after the employee that worked on my car told them the car was dangerous and that he didn't feel comfortable letting me drive it home with my very small child that was there waiting with me in the waiting room. They told him that he needed to stop caring so much. After several months of problems this past year, I took the car in to an auto repair shop and was told the car was not safe to drive, the repairs would cost more than the vehicle was worth, more than I owed on it. I had to trade it in as-is for another vehicle (not from Hudson) so I'm still paying on this vehicle that should have never been sold in the first place, and it has been very difficult financially. And the people at Hudson did not care at all, they knew that legally there would be nothing I could do about it. I do not recommend anyone go here for any reason. They did not care about anything but profiting off me, they do not make things right with their customers, and they blatantly disregard their customers' safety and well-being. read more

This small used car lot didn't have the exact thing we wanted; and we HAD done our research on range and type of vehicle we needed. So we told them what we would most certainly buy, and exactly what we realistically expected to pay. Within a week they'd met our needs! There was one small problem with the car after we got it home, and they fixed that at once. Were we pleased? Damn right we were pleased! I see not quite everyone yelping about them was as pleased, and I can't explain that, but our experience, despite my own cynicism about used car dealers, was totally great, and next time we need a vehicle we'll go back to them hoping the same happens again. read more

They are the NICEST most HONEST people I have ever met. I will NEVER go anywhere to buy a car, they have a a customer for life. I have 2 teenagers getting ready to drive and a niece that is about to drive too, this is where we will be. Went in to buy a jeep now that my health is close to not allowing me to drive. It's my dream car. Jeep wrangler. Tony told us many many things that turned out to be lies. Right after buying the jeep I was on I-5 north on my way to Seattle to see my specialist and my tire blew up while driving. Almost had an accident. I was stuck on the free way for hours. Due to my spare being flat as well. I missed my important appointment and when I called crying Tony had no care for my family. He said not my problem. How would I know that the tires were bad? Which I responded that they were required to check the vehicles for safety and that I had specifically asked about the tires. Which Tony said they were "like new" and that the previous owner had just bought them. Now when I drive if I have a flat I'm in trouble. Because even after complaining to the bank the owners refused to call and hear me out. They completely ignored all phone calls. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

Regarding Hudson auto center in poulsbo, WA, I give it NO stars at all. (I had to select one to be able to post this). I took my car that I bought used from them to their auto mechanics 3 times and spent 1500 on the same issues that they never fixed. Finally I took my car to modern collision on bainbridge island. They did a block test nd found the head gasket was blown. I took my car back to hudson with this information nd requested that they fixed it at no cost to me. I was told by the manager (the 3rd in one year) that he would talk with his boss and call me back that same morning. I NEVER heard back! Also, the sales person who sold me the car told me it was a good car for me. When I approached him after all the problems with the car, he was equally unwilling to come to a win win solution. I am a repeat customer and I am NOT happy with two things ..... One I bought this vehicle and have had nothing but major mechanical issues from day one and it's all been safety issues. Two I called last week to find out what was going on with my tabs....mind you I bought my truck may 2, 2014 and it is now June 16th and I was told last week my paperwork was forgotten to be filed so now not only do I not have my tabs but my temporary permit expired today. As of tomorrow I can no longer even drive this vehicle.not to mention that the vehicle needs all new brakes all around,the abs module was completely broken and the power steering and air conditioning are both leaking. Darren and Dan are the two people I dealt with at this dealership and they were dishonest and rude too boot! I had contacted them regarding a reasonably priced work van. They told me specifically that the vehicle had a singular previous owner and had a clean running engine. I called the morning again to verify the condition of the vehicle, advising that I would be traveling over an hour to get to their location. Dan assured me the van was high mileage, but in clean working order. When I arrived, I discovered oil caked on to the under carriage of the vehicle. When I commented on this condition, they assured me that "all vehicles have oil leaks" and I shouldn't worry about it as the vehicle ran fine at that time. Also, the vehicle has had 4 previous owners, one of which was a fleet lease. I left the dealer feeling slighted for traveling for quite some distance on false premonition, I checked out the other dealers in the area to find nothing that fit my needs. Then I was contacted by Dan, who inquired about my intentions for the van. I made what I feel was reasonable for the vehicle. Dan asked the initial pricing was different than my current offer and I explained that I felt I had been directly lied to about the ownership of the vehicle and the condition of the engine was misrepresented as a clean running engine. Soon after that call ended I received a call from Darren the owner of Hudson Auto Center. Darren was hostile and rude, actively trying to guilt me into not buying his junk vehicle. After making a concise offer once more, Darren's only reply was to try to blame me yet again! Unbelievable! So, if you would like to be lied to and then blamed for the failed sale, Hudson Auto Center is for you. Otherwise, stay the heck away from these hucksters. Rude, sharks, just the dirty kinda used car sales people that you hear stories about, but never really believe until you live it. I read the reviews and decided to check this place out. My experience there was the worst service I ever had. I looked at the car I wanted so I called to see what the condition was. I was informed it was in excellent condition along with 2000 down on a 8000 dollar car was enough from the owner Dan. The price was non negotiable even though the advertisement was make an offer. When I asked about this I was informed they have this much in the car. I went ahead and was approved for the loan. When I got there I was informed there was a 1000 fee I had to pay for the finance company to take the loan on top of the regular fees of buying a car. I was called back and told I needed more money by the salesman, Darren on top of this fee. By this time I was suspicious of buying this car. I went a head with the test drive. This car was anything but excellent condition; infact, it was in poor condition. The car had been wrecked with visible body damage, all of the rims were very scratched, the interior had eight broken things that I counted with in a few minutes, the alignment was off, when I opened the trunk wires were just hanging, and the spare tire including jack were missing. The salesman was rude when I informed him I was lied to and the damage to the car. It would cost more to fix this car than what it's worth. He became condescending towards my knowledge, throwing his hands up in the air complaining this is why he wants people to drive cars before approval. Don't lie to me and we wouldn't have even gone further than a phone call. When I informed Darren that a all wheel drive car shouldn't be drove with uneven tread on the tires and the alignment off unless he wanted more damage to happen waved his hand at me like go away. Are you kidding me? I what I was thinking to myself. I was just disrespected by a guy who wants my money. I own a car similar to the car I looked at. It had been wreck and fixed; I bought the parts and my ex-husband fixed it. I also know with in a few dollars how much parts are. You can find out costs of parts, KKB value for every aspect of buying a car, and most common things that go wrong off the internet. You can even ask the dealer to see what the dealer booking is. Condition is everything with value. When at Hudson Daren through his hands up again complaining because someone told him a car was dead. I also saw him give someone ten one dollar bills and ask for proof after the person saying a car was out of gas. Going in there letting it be known that I worked in both of my family's auto repair shops and auto sales lots isn't my style. I like to sit back, watch and see if they are honest or dishonest. What I saw was the one of the worst ran sales lots and poor customer service if you know about buying cars. I left and took my business to a local mom and pop shop in Port Orchard. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I purchased a car from them in May and have had nothing but problems with it. I have taken it back to them on several occasions to have the problem resolved. I took it to a REAL MMECHANIC and found out that they spliced some wires and used duck tape on something that should never be messed with and completely hallowed out the catalytic converter. The total cost of fixing what they told me was fixed in the first place was over $3000. Check your car and take it to a REAL MECHANIC cause theirs is a shady one and it could save your life. My car could have caught fire with the wires being messed with. If they where a honest dealership and and if there mechanic was a real one their mechanic wouldn't have done what he did. read more
