    I was visiting my family in Hudson Valley and wanna go to the Woodbury outlet mall. I found out the Amtrak from the Hudson Station to the Croton Station is the best way to go. The train station is convenient located and next to couple local attractions including Art Omi outdoor sculpture park. The train station was cute & small with only one platform, so it was hard get lost. The train to the Niagara Fall came 5 minutes before this train to the Croton station. Just need to watch out, so you didn't end up at the wrong destination. Lol. The side that was close to the train station was the street view and the other side was the beautiful river view. It's very green outside and kinda relaxing view the whole way. I purchased the regular coach train ticket which was $31 for one way. Business class is $20 more and all sold out. I would suggest the cafe cart especially if you were eating. I saw two cable/plugs on each side of the table. Six big tables with extra wide seats, and the only other passengers were the train captain. Overall it's a pretty relaxing way of traveling. I will suggest taking a train over driving in a heartbeat.

    Amtrak is not exactly my favorite form of transportation. The ticket prices are usually exorbitant, the service is often delayed, and the conductors never even take my requests for a foot massage seriously. The Hudson Amtrak Station is a credit to the empire though. It is clean and pleasant, with high ceilings and no stench of urine to speak of. But more importantly, the people that run this place are SO. Freaking. Nice. At most stations, I would count myself lucky to even get my questions answered. Here, the ticket agent knows everything you want to know, and he's so friendly that the cab drivers come inside just to chat with him about neighborhood news between trains. This must be why people love small towns. It's certainly not for the WalMart.

    Clean, friendly station with snacks, the requisite hard benches, and good lighting for the readers. They even have a tiny book box if you forgot a book or have one to leave. But the real treasure in this station is Dave, who will print your ticket, give you all the information you need, and make sure you get on your train if you need help. Thanks, Dave. Amtrak should be proud to have employees like you!

    This is not a review about Amtrak, just about this station. I found it clean, well kept and bright. I felt very safe coming into Hudson, where we rolled in, picked up our rental car, and were on our way to a weekend of being in the great outdoors. Wish it had Wifi, though, considering the ticket prices.

    Nice, small, clean train station. My train was extremely late, and expensive. Station is nice though.

Usually 20-30 minutes late, but often up to 45 minutes to an hour. I've missed numerous doctors appointments and had to cancel only 5 minutes prior or 5 minutes after my appointment already started, due to this company. Because they still have not picked me up for an appointment 40 minutes away. At the time I'm supposed to have arrived. Ive been on the rip van winkle bridge, on the phone with the manager. After shes liked 2 times to me already about arrival and pick up time. To be told ill be there in less than 5 minutes. Which is physically impossible. My appointment is 15 minutes away. I ended up having to call them 3 separate times to update them about all the contradictions her lies mislead me to tell them, and what was actually happening in real time. The drivers here are friendly and kind, the cars are clean. But the management and operation is god awful. Not only is the schedule unable to properly function, but ive both called and answered phone calls with either saying nothing or being friendly and courteous. Just to be immediately greeted by a rude attitude off the bat. The phone operator also will hang up on you, mid conversation. Before you can either confirm or ask what you needed to. Its not possible to use this company unless you lie about what time you need to be picked up, both ways. The phone operator​ does nothing but gaslight you about arrival time, and the ability to make it on time. When she is well aware you wont be getting there by when youre scheduled to be there. She removes the grace and courtesy to medical workers needing to know if you will be late within a 15 minute window or not. I asked the driver who just dropped me off today if I had to call ahead for getting picked up. I said "10, 15, 29 minutes in advance?" Like most cabs require. She said no. Just call when youre done. I did just that. And I was told theyll be here in 30 minutes. 30 minutes NEVER means 30 minutes with this company. It will be at least 45 minutes to an hour of waiting on them. When I would have called in advance had the driver themself told me to act directly otherwise. After I already assumed I should call in advance. This cab company makes getting to medical appointments more useless than just canceling the appointment all together and waiting months for another opening with a specialist. Which they've forced me to do against my will, last minute. Numerous times. Even when trying to avoid using them for medicaid transportation. Mistakes get made in the system and its never ever worth even trying at this point. Edit: I called at 30 minutes waiting. after being declined 5 times in a row. She told me they were going to be another 10 minutes. They were another 15. Now we are over 10 minutes passed that. Waiting 10 minutes to get another passenger at another location. Which is quite literally illegal to do with medicaid transportation. Ill keep updating. The new passeneger is going home first after its been over an hour of waiting on this company as a waste of my day. Close to two if you include the extra 20 minutes of waiting this morning. Every other cab company in this area is not nearly as god awful as Columbia transport. Ive tried a majority of them. This is the only company thats been as terrible to not EVER once have a decent or proper experience.
