I arrived at the shop just at closing time with my crank arm having just fallen off my mountain bike while pedaling home from work. Huckleberry manager sold me a replacement arm for $15 installed it for free and got me back on the road home in 5 minutes. Nice guy too. Fantastic!

Frame and all components were well protected.

After Covid hit, buying a bicycle was nearly impossible without waiting a minimum of 12 months to special order and what the shops have in stock are limited in sizes. We contacted around 100 bike shops across the country and finally found Huckleberry Bicycles. The staff were extremely helpful and had the exact bike we were looking for coming within 6 weeks. It showed up exactly when it was supposed to. Huckleberry got the bike in exactly when they expected it. The built it and shipped it in a couple days. They did an AMAZING job packing it up. It showed up in perfect condition. We are extremely happy with the purchase and the help from Huckleberry Bicycles! Thank you Team Huckleberry!! This is an excellent shop. Some places you go in and they're all aloof and evasive about your silly commuter biker needs. Not these guys. They helped me get the bike I wanted and outfitted it perfectly for my commuter needs. They gave me multiple options and why one or the other might be a better fit. They also have an eye for style and didn't scoff at my design needs for the look. I may not be scaling mountains in this thing but it's my only wheels. Handsome makes an incredibly smooth ride out of these busted Bay Area streets! Loving my new Handsome Devil. Thank you all!

They sell a kinda of curated goods from a small selection of tools, lubricants, snacks, and gear. I bought some very well fitted gloves there. What really impressed me was the way they operated the store. It got busy at one point and chilled out... then it got busy again, and they did not miss a beat! But on top of all of that, they were servicing bikes that had appointments or walked in, all at the same time! I was able to bring my bike in, but I also saw they had those bike repair racks in the front and back of the store - they're not playing around. I saw someone walk in with their bike listing off a bunch of stuff he wanted to look into fixing, and the staff person in the front immediately threw it on the repair rack and said 'let's take a look'. They also have this roller situation setup in the front where they can take your bike and run it in place to show what it does while in motion. This place means business and they are super friendly! I wish I had something like this closer to home, this store is doing a service to their local community.

I went to Spokeasy to buy an attachment for my bicycle pump, specifically for a dog stroller. Anson…read morekindly offered to pump up the stroller tires for me. My dog was still in the stroller, and I asked multiple times whether I should remove her. I was concerned about the weight on the tires and bearings while he was servicing it, and my dog was visibly uncomfortable with him lifting the stroller while she was inside. He picked up the stroller several times by the front wheel, which seemed awkward at the time. As soon as I left, I realized the front swivel wheel was no longer functioning properly. It now defaults to facing backwards (180°), and the tire rubs against the swivel with every turn. This made it extremely difficult to get my dog home, especially because she has mobility issues. The stroller is not a luxury item for us -- it's something I rely on every single day for my dog, groceries, laundry, and basic errands. When I told my son what happened, he mentioned that he had a similar experience at the same shop a couple of weeks ago. He and a friend brought in a bike with a brake issue. The shop offered to help and didn't charge them, but whatever was done made the bike worse. Sending a kid out with a bike in worse condition than it came in is a safety issue, especially since my son recently had a serious fall due to a mechanical problem. I understand that Spokeasy didn't charge us for these services, but free work still needs to be safe and competent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. For these reasons, I can only give Spokeasy one star.
