I recently found this cute and quaint park in Wadsworth, and I'm happy I did. I came here for a…read moreshort run on the trail and loved the scenery. The trail itself is a little over one mile paved from end-to-end. If you find yourself aching for more mileage, you can easily continue onto the neighborhood sidewalks. I found the entire park and the length of the trail well maintained, mowed, pruned, and litter-free. There's an event space, aptly named The Trolley Line House. It has the cutest signage featuring a model trolley and the exterior is decorated for fall. There's a bicycle parking rack and maintenance station for basic repairs or tube changes. Down by the parking area is a large picnic pavilion with four tables and electrical outlets. On the other side of the event house is a fire pit and I'd love to join a gathering here. All in all, it's a truly great little park. Can't wait to see if the trail gets extended - I'd be here even more if it was.

I have been taking the children in my life to this park for years. Although it has become more…read morepopular in recent years, it is still a solid park. The kids have always enjoyed their own little city, while getting some age appropriate developmental exercises in unbeknownst to them. Definitely not your ordinary park experience. From the swings and miniature buildings to the sand attractions and "boat ride", it is a really good time. I highly recommend.

I was in the area from Pittsburgh and was looking for an outdoor activity for my 7 year old. Found…read morethis playground online and really loved that it was made for kids of all abilities. The space is set very nicely - with areas for parents to sit that are shady or sunny. The activities are impressive, as the little (big) buildings for the kids to play in really allow for them to use their imaginations to play. Great to see a playground have both the physical activities and imagination type of activities. We really enjoyed it and will return when we're in the area again. The only negative, which doesn't really reduce my rating at all, nor does it keep the kids from having fun, is the fact that some areas do need some repair work. This is why it's important to leave a donation on your way out, if you're able. Hopefully this park can be maintained for years to come!

Cascades Park is not your typical neighborhood patch of Earth; yes it has a baseball diamond &…read moreshelter house, but if offers so much more. In very congested surroundings, this cute little park offers an educational experience as well as pleasurable. Here you will find tree plaques throughout the trail that inform you about the local species. There is also a number of exercise stations, generous playground, a small fraction of ledges hugging a tiny stream and an adorable butterfly garden! With two trails to choose from, you think it would be impossible to get lost. However, the old carved map is slightly misleading. Whichever trail you decide to explore you'll begin at the same starting point ;straight ahead you'll see a tiny wooden bridge- this path leads you wandering around...you cannot distinct between path & surroundings as nothing is marked. If you avoid this & veer to the right, one trail loops around the park while the other eventually takes you through a series of backyards & a golf course. Each trail is made up of twisting roots & tiny gravel so if you have a decent stroller (avoid the trail with a street name & take the loop only) you should be able to enjoy the park without any hiccups.
