As a photographer, I am always looking for new locations to shoot portraits, and Hudson Springs Park is one of my new favorite locations. It features a beautiful lake and walking trail, many small bridges, a large forested area, and lots of activities for the family such as disc golf and canoeing. Highly recommend! This is one of my favorite parks! I love the trail around the lake for running or for walking while talking to a friend. I have also gone hammocking here a few times, and it's a great place for that! The picnic areas have held many family gatherings and even Bible studies with my old high school friends! I have brought kids I have babysat here to play on the playground, and they love it! The bathrooms are generally very clean. You can't swim in the lake, but you can go fishing and kayaking! I will continually be coming here :)

For walkers: This is a 2 mile walking trail. The first half mile is good for beginners. As you progress, the trail has more hills and the trail becomes more demanding. The beautiful Lake is very picturesque and the sound of birdsong will fill the air. The trail is well kept, and there are lookout points and some benches, for those who want to soak up the beautiful scenery and rest. What I love most about the trail, is the wildlife, the chance to see the Blue Heron, Mallards and Canadian Geese. On afternoons in the Summer, the trail can become crowded. There are a couple of Pavilions for those having picnics. The only down side is the traffic noise. You can hear the traffic noise from 480 here. So if you want perfect silence, you won't find it. But the views can be very inspiring.

This is a great park for trail running, kayaking, fishing and I guess frisbee golf if I knew how to play. There's also a playground and spots for picnics. The trail surrounds the lake through the woods and it's perfect for a walk (very dog friendly), a run and probably cross country skiing. There aren't many rocks and the hills aren't too steep. The lake is pretty large and can accommodate quite a few small fishing boats, canoes and kayaks. There are even places to store kayaks and canoes for an annual fee of $65 I believe. Overall it's such a beautiful setting.

Most gorgeous park in the City of Hudson! If you want to get a flavor of what Hudson is all about, this is one of those places you will want to visit...and hike and picnic and play Frisbee Golf and volleyball and Cornhole and...The Hudson Park & Recreation Dept has done a great job of designing this park to meet the recreational needs and interests of all generations. Two pavilions provide plenty of space for family and group picnics. Park benches along the hiking trails invite hikers to sit and enjoy nature. The boys' and girls' track and cross country teams make use of the park to train. The park encourages wildlife (not the party kind) with a Martin House, bluebird boxes and butterfly gardens. Playground equipment invites kids of all ages to come and play. The main trail has enough elevation changes and twists and turns to keep things interesting. A stocked lake makes fishing enjoyable. Kayaks can be rented so you can enjoy some quiet time on the water! I challenge you to find as divine a parkas Hudson Springs in any other community!

This idyllic town park has a gorgeous lake perfect for canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, or fishing; a disc golf course, cornhole, extensive grassy areas, a walking/running trail by the edges of the lake, another trail, a playground, picnic areas. and a pavilion. a very nice park to stop by if you are in the immediate area!!! fishing is $10 , park admission is free

I think George nailed it - A decent 18 hole course. It fits in between Sims park (4 stars) & Osborne (2 stars). The positive aspects of the course are the varitey of shots (great opportunity for thumbers/tomahawks, hyzers & a few anhyzers) & the hole disparity. The front 9 is loaded with short ace runs & up/over shots, while the back 9 has a little more distance. But overall the course is boring. there is no elevation change & you can't really get into trouble. A good player is going to shoot anywhere from 6-12 down. If you're in town, check it out - but I can't recommend traveling to play it.

Hudson Springs disc golf course, hole #15 by the lake.

I visited this park on a Sunday afternoon in May 2021 with my friend and fellow Yelper, Christina…read moreP. The park is located in Parma, Ohio and this was my first time there. TENNIS COURTS -- I arrived to play tennis. There are about 8 tennis courts which is plenty for a park. When I arrived around 4pm, there were people playing tennis and about 5 courts open. The tennis courts are all hard surface and it felt good to play on them. The nets seemed well kept as well. I have no complaints about the conditions of the court. The park itself has a big grassy field that sits on a hill just across from the tennis courts. I heard that there used to be a swimming pool here but that has since been removed. I didn't get to walk around the other side of the park. PROS -- Clean park with plenty of tennis courts. CONS -- There aren't many benches to sit on by the big grassy field and I didn't see any swings or play activities for kids. I don't have kids but I'm assuming that families with kids would prefer a park with swings or slides. Well, now that I think about it, there are benches by a big open structure in the ground which I hear will become a man-made pond soon. Be careful if you bring kids here because they may easily slide down and fall into it. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back to play tennis since I love tennis. **** - 34/100 total reviews in 2021 - 454 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 May 2021

It's one of my favorite local nature reserves. There are always a lot of groups in this area enjoying picnic tables and pavilion. The picnic area itself is well-kept and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax, enjoy a meal, or simply sit and take in nature. The meadow at the entrance has 2 convenient tables. The pavilion nestled more in the park has many picnic tables, grill, and fire place. It accommodates large parties. I have seen a lot of big groups have different holiday celebrations or just gather on a sunny day. What I enjoy the most is the space between picnic tables and inside the pavilion to offer privacy to various groups and a space to roam. The reservation also has a lot of great trails. They're far enough from the road to offer a serene experience. As I walked along the quiet paths and took in the scenic views around Strawberry Pond, I felt an immediate sense of calm. The sounds of birds calling and leaves rustling in the breeze added to the tranquil atmosphere. The bathrooms are conveniently available at the entrance. They are a little gross but available. The parking lot is pretty spacious. The picnic area is very easy to find, just follow the signage or your GPS. Whether you're walking the nearby trails or just lounging with family or friends, this place feels like a hidden gem. Overall, my time at Strawberry Picnic Area reminded me of the importance of reconnecting with nature and making space for simple, quiet moments. It's a place I'd return to in any season. I'll be back again in a few weeks.
