There is a multitude of opportunities to walk in the woods, however, if you are really just looking to put some miles on, there's an excellent paved path that circles the field. One of the remarkable benefits is that it has public bathrooms that are quite clean and well-maintained. You don't often find that on most trails. of course, one of the primary highlights of Freer Field in general is Candy Cane Lane during the Christmas season. For this period of time, the entirety of one of the trail loops is completely decorated for Christmas with beautiful lights.

I did not know it even had a park, until my local friend told me about it & we met up there. 2. It is HARD to find for a first time. If you just put in freer field it takes you to an open field.. the park is actually across that big field... there's actually a big white barn or school? you can put in your Maps or Nav & it'll take you basically right to it. But trying to find it without knowing those places names, very hard. I only found it because she sent me her location. Overall nice park though. Small enough to always see your kids & to be full fenced in! Super bright colored playground sets right next to it, but they said it was only for the school. Which was a bummer because the public one was brown & that one really caught the kids' attention & wanted to play there but couldn't.

It was nice and big so she could run around. They had poop bags, water for the dogs to drink, and baby pools so they could splash around in the hot weather, Also a trash can. There was a couple picnic tables and a few chairs under a shaded tree. The grass was mowed nicely. Our little dog had so much fun and we will go often

Last year, I took the kids to ride at the Clear Fork ATV park. It was a good experience. We had a…read moregood lunch at the onsite restaurant before paying the fee ($20 pp, regardless of age) to ride the property. There were not many people there, but I don't think the defunct-ski-resort-turned-ATV-park had been open for very long. The lodge/Bar/Restaurant building was clean and air conditioned with decent restroom facilities. Sunday was the fourth time that I've ridden the Clear Fork Adventure Park in the past two years. Unfortunately, the park was in the worst shape ever. The restaurant is permanently closed. They used to mow all of the ski hills and the land surrounding the adult and kids' dirt tracks. The kids track was so overgrown, I had trouble finding it. Almost all of the grass on the property was 2-4 feet tall. I encountered many thorny vines growing across the poorly-marked trails (dark-red spray-painted dots on trees mean wrong-way; dark-green spray-painted dots mean right-way). I used to like to ride this place on the weekend for safety reasons (rather than face the high-traffic trails at Wayne on weekends). It was a nice place to take the kids, and it's only an hour away from home. Unfortunately, it is not going to survive by charging riders $20 per day and failing to perform minimal maintenance on the property. The hours of operation are pretty strange as well: Wed - Sun, noon - 7 PM. We were told the resort has been sold two or three times, and it is currently owned by an investment group in Utah that owns 27 other resorts (this is the only one that is an ATV park).

Mt. Jeez Overlook is on the property of Malabar Farm State Park, but it's kind of its own thing…read more Some places mark it as being in Perrysville, and some in Lucas. Wherever it is, you'll find it by driving to Malabar Farm off of Pleasant Valley Road, and following the signs to the overlook. The dirt road that takes you to the overlook is a bit bumpy, so hang on to your butts. But there's no other option -- you can't really walk up to the overlook because there's nowhere to park at the bottom. But, there's parking at the top, so I'm thinking that that's what you're supposed to do: endure the minute-long bumpy ride. Once you're at the top, you will be treated to fabulous views of central Ohio countryside. The overlook is the highest point on Malabar Farm, and at more than 1,300 feet above sea level, Mount Jeez will give you an up-high look at farmland for several miles. This is an amazing spot to just sit (there's a bench up here) and take in the view. There's also a hiking trail in the woods just off the overlook. We didn't venture too far into the path when we visited, but it's there and it is beautiful when everything is growing and blooming.

Here's the deal: you are only fifty-odd paces from a busy highway, right next to a bunch of huge industrial yards, down a rutted gravel road, and there is this nagging voice in the back of your noggin yelling, "Run! This is a trap! You are at least one United State away from ANY trout fishing!" Don't listen to THAT voice, listen to me, your trusted Yelp Buddy. You will not be sorry you did. The state did a survey some twenty years ago, and found some nice streams that could, just maybe, support trout. One of these was Apple Creek, running east to west just south of Wooster. They didn't want to invest in a long shot, so the good and great folks at Trout Unlimited stepped up, bought some trout, and started a-stocking. There were a few lean years in there, but now? Boy Howdy! This is an amazing little (two mile) stretch of water. So, all I ask in return for unearthing this rare gem for you is this: practice catch and release. Revel in the experience, then put those beauties back so they can grow, and flourish, and be caught by some other guy or gal. You won't need a huge stick; I routinely cast a three-weight. Nymphs are a hot item year-round, but dry is the way to go when the insects are buzz-bombing you on the short walk from the parking lot to the stream. Oh, and pick up your trash, and a few items that were washed down in the many floods this area experiences. Thanks. Tight lines.

The owners were happy to get 2 more horses ready for me and my friend in their 4 o'clock slot. When we arrived there was a very friendly atmosphere and many cute animals playing in the yard to watch while you waited. We then signed in and they gave us a quick walkthrough and we were on our way. The ride was about an hour and a half throughout their beautiful property. There was one other party with us, and through the whole ride the hosts were talking to us making you feel very at home. I would definitely recommend this is you want to go on a nice horseback ride this is the place. Special shout out to "cloud" for chauffeuring me around on his back:)

Booked this as a late Mother's Day outing and we thought there was a chance this wouldn't be great…read morejust because it was by appointment only and randomly in the bottom of a quilt shop in Berlin, but not were we wrong! One of the better escape rooms we have been too. Hard enough to be challenging, but not so hard that it couldn't be done. Our group of 6 was able to finish Panthers Hollow with about 15 minutes to spare. Definitely worth trying and located right in the midst of all the other things Berlin has to offer, so can definitely make a whole day of it. Clean and staff was friendly and easy to work with. Will definitely return to try the other rooms!
