Just one small portion of one of the huge play sets.

Awesome park for kids and adults. Tennis, sand volleyball, basketball, soccer fields, walking track, pavilions, and a pond stocked full of fish out front for the kids. And with Southgate park in the back you get hiking, fishing, bird watching, a walking track, and disc golf. There really is something for everyone here. The only thing that would be nicer is if the play set only had one entrance instead of two. It'd make it easier to keep track of the kids. On the topic of Southgate Park, the hiking trails aren't really marked well so make sure you take a picture of the trial map on the trail entrance at the end of the parking lot! The main trail isn't difficult to navigate but there are a TON of side trails cut into the woods that could easily get you lost. A compass is a MUST if you're not familiar with the park. But there are some great bird watching and wildlife observation opportunities if you take your time and move quietly.

Beautifully built playground

First off, I am a straight up beginner. I can tell Off the…read morebat that this course would be a lot of fun if I was better. To be honest I was petrified of losing one of the only three discs I own. Lots of ponds and water obstacles. With that said, it is a very fun sport and will definitely be back after I improve my game at more beginner level courses.

This is definitely a challenging course. It has a lot of different terrain to deal with including…read morewater hazards and hills. I'm a casual disc golfer meaning that I go about twice a month at the most. This course seems to be set up a little more for the more avid disc golfers. Every time that I've gone, there has been quite a few avid players. I don't know if professional is the term for them but they are close to it. I usually feel a little out of my league when I play there. Two of the holes focus on a water hazard that for a casual disc golfer are a bit more challenging than I care to attempt. The first one angles across a decent size pond. The other one has the basket directly beside the pond. For me personally, I have no desire to get close to losing my disc in the water. If you want a challenging course, then this is a pretty good course. If you're a casual disc golfer, then I think there are some other courses in the area that might be a little more enjoyable. I'm just really not that big of a fan of the setup of the course. One cool thing about the course though is the fact that it does have 24 holes instead of the conventional 18 holes in case you want to skip the water hazard holes.
