Exploring the trails were the reason we came to this location this afternoon. We did bring our dogs and kept them on leash the full time without any issues! The dogs loved the fresh air & being in nature. If possible I would deduct a half star for the user friendliness of the trails. The trails intertwined, overlapped, & were not marked well for first timers. There was a post with multiple trails at the start & a map. However, there were not any other markers after, even when the trails overlapped & intersected. Overall a wonderful location!! Just plan some extra time to trouble shoot the trails if your a first timer like we were!

A super cool park I am looking forward to checking out more in the future…read more I accidentally discovered this park while looking for a place to eat lunch with a friend. We accidentally also discovered the butterfly garden, which is located at the entrance of the park. Upon sneaking around the corner we noticed that the park is hugely expansive and leads down into the Cuyahoga River. I was immediately pleasantly surprised at how clean and lush it was, and how you could close your eyes and just hear the gentle hum of the river. I don't have a lot to report right now other than that I was impressed with what I observed and that my friend and I look forward to coming back in the future. We were both very shocked it's such a large, winding park. I never knew this existed in this area and I'm really excited to try it out soon and report back more fascinating details here! For now I will just leave it at clean, cute and interesting.

Trail markers , paved trails, even a bi monthly quaterly magazine, listing all sorts of events. This was my first visit to an Ohio park to explore, and will defintly check out other locations in the near future. The vistor center staff were friendly ; the center itself was marvelous with variety of things to explore,the tree exhibit, the bird feeding area, kids area , turtles and the akorn gift shop. The gift shop shaped in a Maple leaf, in my opinion was genuis , simple addition to center for kids and nature lovers. Fall will be approaching soon; be sure to hike and enjoy the beauty of nature with exercise and fresh air.

They are in a completely fenced in area and all the dogs seem to know and love it. There are trails with in the fenced in area that are awesome as well, great place to take them for a walk and still be in nature. It's a HUGE area. We recently had to put our other dog down, so he had been getting depressed, (it appeared) so we tried this and it has been amazing, for all of us ;-D. I also take my grandson to the playground which is perfect and then we walk around the lake. If you haven't been here I suggest you put in on your bucket list. There's gate and fence are safe. There's are amenities like a doggy fountain, benches, trash, bags. The only issue is when it has rained, the park is a mess. Water must not drain well and it becomes a swamp in the following days. I've lost a shoe in the mud before. And Winnie has lapped up muddy water puddles before. We've never had a problem with any other dogs or owners. Highly recommend!

The trail itself is a little over one mile paved from end-to-end. If you find yourself aching for more mileage, you can easily continue onto the neighborhood sidewalks. I found the entire park and the length of the trail well maintained, mowed, pruned, and litter-free. There's an event space, aptly named The Trolley Line House. It has the cutest signage featuring a model trolley and the exterior is decorated for fall. There's a bicycle parking rack and maintenance station for basic repairs or tube changes. Down by the parking area is a large picnic pavilion with four tables and electrical outlets. On the other side of the event house is a fire pit and I'd love to join a gathering here. All in all, it's a truly great little park. Can't wait to see if the trail gets extended - I'd be here even more if it was.

We recently visited this free state park beach which has been significantly improved with the…read moreaddition of the Visitor Center and the real restrooms and rinse-off area at the back. There's a new pier where boats can pull up, and it's popular for swimming and diving too. The beach itself has a rustic, wooded feel. The swimming area is shallow to a point and then gets deep enough for real swimming. The biggest downside is all of the goose poop especially on the walkway that provides accessibility. There is plenty of parking and a playground for the kiddos.

Driving thru the park they have a lot of different activities - skate park, beach , hiking, and a wedding venue. We drove back to the beach area and there are beautiful views of the lake. This park encourages talking to strangers to kids. I remember swimming here but that is gone and they have no areas for people to relax away from crowds or strangers.
