Cool spot and good beer. The pimento cheese sandwich was also good! Would definitely return if I'm ever back in Jackson.

The energy in the place is infectious and it is the kind of restaurant you want to come back to again and again. I ordered the Wildfire Burger, and it is honestly one of the best burgers I have had. It is made with black angus beef, 44 Farms Philly Steak, queso, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Pepper Jack, all served with hand cut fries. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with flavor. The hand cut fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned to match. We also shared the Hot Mama 12 inch pizza with a chicken substitute, and it was outstanding. Fresh herbs, tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil, and local honey on a perfectly baked crust. The combination of heat and sweetness from the honey made it stand out from any pizza I have had recently. The menu here is creative and extensive, covering everything from shareables and salads to burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and saucer pies. There is truly something for everyone. The service was great and the whole experience felt well put together from start to finish. If you are looking for a fun night out with great food and a lively crowd, Flying Saucer is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I remember getting the Xul PB&J cider. This tastes exactly like PB&J. I tasted the Blackberry Mule which tasted good but seemed weak. We ordered the nachos which came with a ton of these tiny peppers that were not really hot. Do not sit outside if you plan on getting food. Flies everywhere. Not the business fault. You are outside.

About the Yelp reviews... Whoever, in times past, found fault in the food, service or anything else, must have arrived already a sourpuss. Our experience: Supernice, superfriendly, superefficient, superprofessional service. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Really good food. Fish & Chips: crispy, succulent, non-greasy. Bangers & Mash: Mild, tender sausages zinged with some ale-tangy onions. Shepherd's Pie*: simply delish. All the food arrived hot. But even IF the food had been 3-star instead of 5-star, we'd still have had a grand time because of the people. #Way2Go *I'm asking, not arguing, here, but shouldn't Shepherd's Pie, by definition, be made of lamb? Anyhoo, no quarrels tonight.

The decor was full of wood and Irish memorabilia with a dark, cozy vibe, and the service was spectacular. The bartender was so sweet and attentive I had the fish and chips O M G! The fish literally fell apart and the breading was slightly sweet with a hint of lemon. The fresh-cut fries with sea salt were the perfect touch. I wish I could go back, but if you're ever in downtown Memphis, definitely treat yourself!
