Starting to lose confidence in this place. After working all day, just want a Wonton soup pick-me-up. First time it wasn't hot. It was literally lukewarm soup. The second time was five wontons for $6 and change. The third time I asked for eight wontons and told him I would pay extra. I went to my car and opened the soup and there were five wontons and the soup was filled with some other stuff I had never seen before. I went back in and he told me there were six wontons but he forgot one. I don't even know what that means. Lmao! Btw, I did deep-dive wonton soup container research and there were definitely five. This guy is friendly but I definitely felt more confident in my order when the woman was working. I might give them one more shot but it will be a while. Might just give up. I'm literally wasting money on Sometimes Lukewarm Limited Wonton Soup With Mystery Broth. Side note: they don't answer the phone sometimes now. Not sure what's going on but something changed. read more

Fresh, very generous portions, friendly staff, consistently good. Our favorite Chinese takeout!

I'm on the hunt for my fav Charlotte General Tso Chicken. Huang's earned 4 stars. The chicken was a little overdone and chewy. I've noticed this from this place consistently, the chicken isn't as tender as I wish it was. The sauce was fine. Not amazing flavor, but not bad. And the breading was also pretty standard. If we were in NYC this place would get 3 stars, but for CLT it gets 4. read more

Restaurant is take out only since Covid. Don't see any moves to reopen seating area. Online ordering is convenient, with no service charge for pickup orders. Menu is pretty standard Chinese American fare. Clicking "extra spicy" will give you some medium heat-- but actually the hottest sauces in the area for fast casual. I like the Szechuan, hunan and general Tso's chickens, as well as the won ton soup. The hot and sour soup is a little thick for my liking. My only real complaint is that you cannot place your order until the official opening time of 11:30am, then the food is ready usually just before noon. I'd really like it if I could order earlier for pickup around 11:45 (since my lunch starts at 11:30). read more

We stopped in and picked up some For lunch since I was in this plaza at the Dental office Across the street. I walked inside and ordered the takeout and it was ready pretty quickly. We ordered the calamari, orange peel chicken with brown rice, and beef skewers. All items were hot and fresh with large portions. Would return for more. read more

Normally really good, disappointed tonight with it all. Soup was eh, egg rolls were " tough" and inedible, Crab Rangoon tasteless and inedible and General Tso chicken over done small pieces of chicken and would question it is white meat as advertised. Very unfortunate as this has been our go to for a while. Last time was not great either, wrote off as a one time miss, but getting consistently bad. Nothing great to write home about tonight ! read more

This is our go to takeout Chinese restaurant! My husband loves the general Taos chicken with lo mein and an eggroll. I order the honey walnut shrimp, but get chicken instead of shrimp. read more

If you're looking for a quality, NY or NJ Chinese food, this isn't the place! The dumplings had no flavor and the Kung Pao chicken had no celery and no spice, no Thai peppers. Served with mushrooms and onions. read more

Excellent Chinese food take out option for Cornelius! I'm giving it 4 stars because their portions are smaller than most Chinese restaurants. But the food is amazing! read more

Food is consistently great. Best, reasonably priced Asian takeout around. Good variety of options including all the "standards".

Wife was at the beach and I had wanted to try this place and I'm glad I did. My wife and several of her friends from the neighborhood went to Myrtle Beach so I was left to fend for myself. No big deal but I get a chance to try some places I've been meaning to try but never got around to and this was one of them. Easy to overlook and relatively new, it's right up from a couple of restaurants we normally frequent. Needless to say, under these circumstances, easy to overlook. Walked in an basically deserted. Initial though was , not a good sign. A bit later, a young lady came out with a order for delivery. As such she promptly seated me, gave me a menu and took my order for hot Green Tea. Interesting menu and one of my elusive favorites was there, Mongolian Style Beef. Found on a lot of menu's and most have the little Chili Pepper indicating spicy and with heat, but most are devoid of any of the characteristic of Mongolian Cuisine. With reluctantly and with a hope for something better than what I found locally, I ordered the Mongolian Style Beef with Rice. While I waited, I studies the scene. Very few patrons but a robust take out and delivery service. I'll probably take advantage of the delivery service next time I order so that enplanes to low number of patrons at tables My meal arrived and it was everything I had hoped for. The proper amount of heat and spiciness and at the same time, plenty of beef and a proper balance of meat vs Veggies. The Rice was perfect and as for the Tea, I had ordered Tea the night before and it had had a burnt taste as opposed to the light fresh taste of green tea. This was perfect. All in all, a great meal and I will be definitely be back read more

Don't understand the high ratings. Every time someone asks on social media where the good Chinese is in Cornelius this place is mentioned. My sesame chicken and general tso chicken were identical in appearance and flavor, white chicken nuggets, boring. Only difference was sesame seeds put on sesame chicken. Thank goodness the pork steamed buns were delicious so had something to eat. read more

I don't know why I keep ordering food from this place. It's hit and miss. Most of the time, the food is tasteless. If you know Chinese food, this does not even come close to tasting the way it should. Even though the portions are good and the ingredients seem fresh, the food is bland and lacks flavor. read more

Consistently the best authentic Asian restaurant in the area. Great quality products. Always consistent. Attentive service.

This is really good Chinese food! I wish that they'd believe me when I ask for spicy food, but otherwise they're great. Their lo mein is awesome, I love their egg rolls, and all of the chicken and tofu dishes we've tried so far have been tasty. Best of all, I don't feel that food hangover that can sometimes happen with takeout food - it is fresh and homemade, so it fills me up and doesn't make me regret the dinner decision later. Bottom line: Support this local business! They're great. read more

Consistently good, every time! This is our go to spot for Chinese takeout. Never disappoints!

Food is always tasty there. The one staff member is a hit or a miss. The place is just convenient to us

I really love their food and very happy with their service. My food was hot and ready. I had their beef broccoli and shrimp fried rice, shrimp low mein. My veggie were out of this world good. You definitely won't be sorry eating here read more

Consistently great Chinese food that is otherwise hard to find in the Charlotte area. Tried takeout a few days ago and it was excellent. Today was visit #2 and it was just as good. This will be a go-to from now on! read more

I agree with all the positive reviews! This place had good quality lunch meals and portions! It's affordable and cooked well. I've been in Charlotte for almost 4 years and it's hard to find an affordable restaurant WITH good service and great tasting food. I will be back! Note: they don't have a lot of seating options and we couldn't sit outside for some reason? Not sure why they have tables outside and we couldn't be served. read more

Very horrible restaurant. I used Uber eats and called to let them know what had happened and she told me to simply call Uber eats for a refund . I let her know that my child was consuming the undercooked food that is called popcorn chicken . She didn't apologize whatsoever. She simply said let Uber eats refund you . I'm new to NC and I will never again order from them again . Whoever answered the phone was beyond rude . I was simply telling her that for a business this was inappropriate. Also instead of egg foo young they gave me some red sauce in a cup with lemon . Highly disgusted . Wouldn't recommend at all . Very unprofessional and careless . This is a safety concern and others will hear about this . Throw the whole building away . Reporting to NC health department . read more

Great food.Quality and quantity is very good. I will order from you again. I just wish they had inside open.

We chose this restaurant at random tonight because we were craving Chinese food but also wanting to venture outside of our usual "go-to" places. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant itself was small inside, but we dined in anyway. The service was fantastic from start to finish, and the young lady who took care of us was super sweet! Now for the food. We ordered there Crab Rangoons, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Honey Sesame Chicken. All were hot, fresh, and completely delicious! The Honey Sesame, which was sweeter, was our favorite, but I would highly recommend any of them depending on what you're feeling. The Kung Pao was more salty/spicy (very tolerable spice level, coming from someone who is a complete baby when it comes to spicy food). The Mongolian Beef had a somewhat chargrilled flavor. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great Chinese food! I can say for sure, we will be going back! read more

We just moved to Cornelius. While looking for a good Chinese restaurant, we tried Huang's China Bistro. Their food is delicous, and they're great great to accommodate me with my wanting the dishes to be more authentic! We've been back 2 more times already. So happy to have found a family run Chinese restaurant! The food was freshly made and delicious. We ordered the house fried rice and Hunan style chicken. The fried rice had a very fragrant pineapple taste. They do a great job marinading the white meat chicken so that it taste smooth and tender as dark meat. The sauce for the Hunan chicken had a mild spice to it and very flavorful. There were a lot of veggie too. Definitely coming back for more! read more

Words can't even express how good this place is, delicious Chinese food that taste's like the Chinese food you dream about, but never too oily. Every dish I've ever had from here has been amazing. I've had their orange peel chicken, honey sesame chicken, broccoli beef, pork chow mein, fried rice chow mein, pork fried eggroll, egg soup ....it has all been amazing and it tastes fresh, and that's my favorite thing about it. read more

Don't come here if you're hungry. The flavors aren't bad but the portions are ridiculously small for the price. Don't get me wrong...I know this is supposed to be higher end Chinese, not Panda Express. Even so I bought the honey walnut shrimp for family take out (2 orders) and there was 10 small shrimp and a few pieces of broccoli for $17 per order!!! I spent $100 for a family of 5 (not big eaters) and I didn't get any food because the portions were so small. So disappointed, I feel like I was pick pocketed. Definitely won't come back read more

Found this place a couple weeks back when we needed a good Chinese food fix. My wife loves their orange chicken and I favor the sesame version. My husband and I spend 4 months here and this is our go to place for Chinese. Everything is fresh and not greasy. We order wonton soup and steamed dumplings. Terrible food. The worst chinese food i've ever eat. Quality is bad. Don't waste your time. Respond to the owners comment below: No it wasn't about the sides or amount of food. Excellent food and service. This is our new Asian takeout place. I want to try everything on the menu.

My wife discovered Huang's a month ago and last night we were there again. And this morning I'm still thinking of the phenomenal dinner we had. Seriously, IT'S THAT GOOD!!!! Disclaimer, if you're into that greasy slimy airport fast food Chinese crap, you're not going to enjoy this place. Of course, they've got some of that Chinese-American stuff, but we go there for the authentic Chinese food. We had the steamed fish, black peppered prawns, tofu beef soup, peppercorn beef stew, pork with chayote, fried udon, tofu shrimp, green pepper/onion beef, kung pao chicken, and fresh sautéed clams. Yeah, there were 6 of us but we ate like an army of 12 -- "strong" eaters! Now, if you show up and order this, you'll wait a long while to get your food. It's because this place is not Panda Express! My awesome wife called in the hours beforehand. This is a small family owned business that cooked our meal to order. Instead of continuing my rambling of how this place reminds me of Mom's cooking (yes I'm Asian) or my last vacation in Shanghai, I'll give you my recommendations: If you're into spicy food: call ahead and order the peppercorn beef soup. It is super flavorful and will remind you of beef hotpot. Seafood: call ahead for the steamed fish. They also have a fried fish with sweet sauce. Both are amazing! Tofu: beef tofu soup. I can fill myself up on that alone. Slimy gross Chinese food: somewhere else. Joking aside, they made our meal to order, so if you called ahead and asked for it, who knows. Just remember to call ahead if you plan on ordering anything that's not on the menu! read more

More like fast food Chinese from an airport. Hardly any meat. Overly filled with onion or green pepper. There are two kinds of good Chinese: good tasting Americanized Chinese and authentic gourmet. This is neither of those. read more

Ordered take out for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The dinner combos come with an egg or spring roll, I got the General's chicken and my wife got the Garlic Chicken, we both really liked our meals. The take out comes in a container with a compartment just for the rice, which was nice. My kids liked the pork fried rice. I think they use some type of honey or sweet pork, it was very tasty. And the Shrimp Lo mien was well liked too. The menu had more options than we expected, you can get just the dinner meal or make it a combo. And it was very reasonably priced. The total was just over $40 for 5 people. We will definitely be back and try some other options. read more
