It is a great family owned business that they are passionate about. *Disclaimer* this IS a cut your own tree place. That means going out into the fields, finding your tree, cutting it, and bringing it back to the lot. For me, that is part of the experience, and they DO help you by shaking it, netting it, and will assist getting it on/in your car if needed. If you're down with this keep reading! From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the helpful owner and a trusty sweet old black lab. There is a small building with free popcorn and hot chocolate. They provide saws or you can bring your own. There are a huge selection of trees from small to super tall. They have several different types of trees as well. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I found out last year that dogs are welcome leashed, as long as they are well behaved so this year I brought my husky. As mentioned above you cut your tree and carry it back to the stand where they get it ready for you. They do provide twine for tying it to your car as well. Each year a free dated ornament is given to you upon checkout, which I find charming. Sometimes they even have homemade wreaths for sale. Their prices are SUPER reasonable, far more than that tree lot with trees that have been cut for months and wont last long.

Actually Zero stars. Wow.. we pulled in at 11:40…read more.. (thinking they opened at 10am) and were greeted by the biggest jerk. He told us they weren't open yet (in a not friendly way) and I apologized saying I thought it was 10am based off google. He told me it was noon. He then got more rude and told me he doesn't have a website (I didn't say he did) and maybe I should have called the number listed where he has a message stating the hours. He continued to be surly and rude. Remember we were only 20 minutes early ... he could have offered to let us park in his large lot and wait.. but nope.. we had to go. We decided to still buy a tree bc we were on a time limit ... so we pulled out and parked on a side street for 15 minutes. Upon arrival my husband greeted him nicely. The rude old man then started talking to me wanting to tell me again how he doesn't have a website etc ... and I said I would rather not talk. He then kicked my family off his property.

Cackler's is a place to make amazing memories with loved ones. The farm smells amazing. When I went the weather was absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining and the weather was not terribly cold. The line was long to wait for the sleds and saws. You can bring your own to save on time waiting in line. Dogs are welcome, as long as they stay on the leash. It is fun to walk around the farm to find the perfect tree. Once you find it you get to cut it down and take it home for the holidays. Cackler's offers tree shaking, netting, and drilling for an extra cost. I can see this easily becoming a tradition for my family too!

Sign up from their Facebook page on a Signup Genius form (I think it's only weekends, 3 groups at a time.) The house has Christmas lights out front, but also the entire porch is essentially display cases of Christmas decorations. Inside, the entire first floor is filled with trees. 700-some this year, of all sizes, all over, plus Santas, nutcrackers, and other decorations. Nicely done, sometimes grouped by type, on almost every surface. The bathroom is a little less decorated, and the kitchen is somewhat "normal" but with trees around the top on shelves, some other displays, and free hot chocolate and cookies. There is also candy for sale, and cookie dough. The owner is sweet and super kid-friendly. Fun to talk to. No charge, but donations for the food bank. Figure 15-30 minutes, though Baby K wanted to go through several times and go in and outside again. Fun for kids and adults.
