The ladies who worked there helped us pick out a beautiful selection of flowers for our pots. They taught us how to make how selections visually appealing and guided us to the right flowers depending on where our pot will reside. My pot will be in my front porch which is shaded and also has some sun. I was able to pick out both shade and sun flowers. The flowers here were so bright and healthy. I was so happy seeing all these beautiful colors and really wanted a job here. It must be heaven to work with the most beautiful flowers every day! I picked out 2 different flowers of different sizes. One grew taller and the other was short. I also picked out the most vibrant pink Colleus plant. I have never seen one so rich pink. This will be my filler. I also got another plant with cool hardy leaves that will also have flowers if they get sunshine for my drooping over the side of my pot plant. I was very happy with my selection and the ladies who worked there were super helpful! My pot came out $10 more than the pre made one but I was able to choose my own selection. This was such a fun event. They also had cookies, meat, cheese and wine inside the main house. I bought a spicy jar of salsa to go.

The parsely I put in 3 years ago came back again this year. And it tastes wonderful. Whenever I am in this area, I have to go to Scott's to see what is new. This year I bought a couple house plants and garden items to take back to Michigan. Even if you're not shopping plants, stop in for cold ice cream on these hot days. They moved the ice cream window into a spacious adorable space with seating. (Only to-go during this phase of reopening during COVID19). And the gift items are so cute. You know you need something so stop in. The staff is very knowledgeable. Happy planting!

I hired Scot's to take out my old retaining wall and put in a new one last July. When I contacted them, I was told that they were backed up because it was such a wet fall, which I understand, but why no phone call telling me they were going to be a month later starting? When they did finally start, one man would show up to work on breaking up my wall. One day he got less than a 1 foot section broken up. He told me the next day that they had sent him with a piece of equipment that had no hydraulic fluid in it. Once they got hydraulic fluid, the breaking up process went much faster. Once the breaking up began, however, the worker(s)- and it was frequently just one man- didn't put in anywhere close to a full day of work. It was not uncommon for me to come home at my lunch time at 11:30 and have him/them just showing up as I was leaving. They would be gone before I got home from work at 4PM. I had a construction company at my house replacing my kitchen floor, and they even made the comment that they wished they worked for this company because their boss expected them to put in a full day and Scot's clearly did not. During Thanksgiving week (the whole week), the whole crew took the entire week off to go hunting. I understand this. What I don't understand is why they had to leave TWO large pieces of heavy equipment sitting in my front yard. This whole time I was getting absolutely no communication from my landscape designer or the owners. When I finally reached out to the owners to express my unhappiness, I started to see a full crew at my house for a full day. When the wall was finished, it WAS exactly what I had envisioned and paid for. Fast forward to this spring and my first mowing. Because they had torn up my front yard, Scot's put down grass seed and covered it with a thick layer of straw. As the grass is just now coming up through the straw, I waited to mow until yesterday. As I was mowing, I found SEVERAL (at this point, over 25) large rocks and pieces of my wall they had broken up and didn't pick up in my yard. When I say large, I mean mower-ruining large. Rather than pick up the rocks and pieces of wall, they threw a thick layer of straw over the rocks to hide them so I am finding these unpleasant surprises all over my yard. I also found several pieces of twine in the yard from where they opened up the bales of straw but didn't bother to take out the twine. Because spring is a particularly busy time for me, I frequently have a boy who is in high school mow my lawn. I am grateful he was unable to mow yesterday because he (or his mower) could have gotten seriously hurt thanks to Scot's negligence. I was foolish to have gone to this company and will tell anyone I know who is doing landscaping to STAY AWAY from Scot's!
