Technically it is a soft opening, but everything seemed comparable to the other locations. I picked up a couple of lattes with mini croissants, and all were good on par with the other Pearland Coffee Roasters locations. The croissants are a particular treat since we lack a French bakery in the area. The people behind the counter were clearly experienced in their roles and were relaxed, friendly, and competent. I have always enjoyed the vibe here when it was a Dunn Bros, and now it is brighter and more open due to the renovations and absence of coffee roaster (presumably roasted at their original location). Plenty of comfortable seating, both inside and on the patio. Much easier to get in and out of this location than the other locations. I miss Dunn Bros, but will be happy with what it has become.

The staff was very friendly and pointed me in the right direction for recs, and I ended up selecting a hot guava latte with almond milk and a couple of alfajores. The latte wasn't too sweet yet still had a pleasant guava aftertaste, and the alfajores were the perfect treat to go alongside my coffee. I'll definitely be back!

Could be because it's located in quite an obscure place? I got inside and a sweet lady greeted me. The whole place was so clean. I'm a coffee snob so I am curious what the quality of the coffee is gonna be like I picked a safe one - a hot latte. Man this thing is strong just the way I like it. There's some muffins on display, but there's no prices on it and I was tempted to pick one. But I held off since it's too early for some sugar buzz. The price is reasonable. They do only have one size though. But the quality of the coffee is superb. I'll come back again tomorrow for an espresso macchiato and maybe one of those muffins. And I look forward to another pleasant experience.

They're located in Pearwood next door to Arby's and 888 Bistro. The biggest difference that I immediately noticed is the drive thru. The parking lot is rather small with about 10 spaces. The store itself is not very large. The decor is minimal, though they had Christmas decorations up. I noticed a few tables inside, a couple of chairs near the pick up area, and two tables outside on the patio. There's also a back room that looks like it may be used for study groups or meetings. The staff is very friendly. It had been awhile since I've visited PCR so I asked for recommendations on their seasonal drinks. The barista went through each one and explained the different flavors. I decided on a small (12 oz.) Iced Campfire Latte with oat milk. The drink has honey and smoked sea salt. I don't love sea salt coffee drinks, but the barista assured me that the sea salt is subtle (she was right). The drink was good and not overly sweet. I would order it again. They have a points program through Cash app. I don't have the app, so I won't be utilizing it. I don't frequent PCR that often because of location, but I will be adding them to my coffee rotation whenever I'm on the east side of town.

I knew that the owners had sold, and today was the first time since then. I was so disappointed. The ambience is gone. It's bare of any charm, the service was fair but with some gaps. Today I ordered my favorite, chicken salad on a croissant, baked potato soup and apricot tea. The tea was so weak it was tasteless, the sandwich was delicious, but the soup, oh dear. It was dreadful. The bacon flavor was overpowering, the potatoes were weird, canned maybe? The price was fair, I thought, had the food been tasty. But then they charge a fee to use a debit or credit card. I drove passed my house and onward to the new Pearland HTeaO. A perfect excuse to try out the new location. I arrived a little after 2. The sign out front read 1/2 off drinks, 2-4. Yay! There wasn't a line at all. I was a little surprised but relieved that I wasn't going to have to wait in a long line. I ordered an unsweet coconut and unsweet mint tea. They announced my total, $3 dollars and 70 something cents. What? I shrugged it off and assumed they had it wrong or maybe I was there too early and their systems hadn't updated yet. I get to the window. A young lady kindly complimented me on my eyeglasses and again repeated the high total to me. Still perplexed but having gone out of my way to buy the tea I handed her my debit card. She handed me my tea. I started to drive off but then I honked my horn and had to ask them why I hadn't received the happy hour 1/2 off price. Another young lady came to the window, apologized and said "oh it's buy one get one free. We're sorry we should've told you." 1. I get that BOGO is the same as 1/2 off but I've always seen BOGO advertised as BOGO, not as 1/2 off. When something is half off it's 1/2 off. 2. They didn't offer or ask me about ordering a second drink. If that's the deal, I shouldve been asked what I wanted for my second drink. The special should've at least been offered to me. Maybe I'm tripping. I could've swore HTeaO was used to truly be 1/2 off. I hadn't been in a while so maybe it changed to BOGO since my last visit. At any rate, I was disappointed with the bait and switch. Why not just advertise as BOGO instead of 1/2 off to ensure you don't confuse or upset your customers? To make things worse, the tea wasn't very good and I only ended up drinking a few sips of it. The coconut flavor tasted sweet although I had ordered unsweet coconut and unsweet mint. It was a letdown. Two stars to this location instead of one since the young lady complimented my glasses but more of a 1 star experience overall and a waste of time. I very likely will not return.
