This spot has changed names a handful of times, but I can say that what it is has remained the same. I have been here when it first opened as Steam Kaffe, when it was Ugly Mugz and now as Cue the Coffee. This remains to be a lovely place for the Dickinson community and other nearby locals to gather. The employees have always remained super friendly no matter how early you come in and that in itself is a plus. However, I have noticed that when you get the waffle sticks with sausage inside, it's hit or miss if the waffle will still be batter on the inside or not. Because of that, I usually stick to the dessert waffles. The lattes are always perfectly made! I love when they come out with special lattes because they are always so fun and yummy. They have one radio station here and it's modern Christian music. Perfect vibe for the community but not my jam. That being said, this is one of the more family friendly coffee locations around. They have play area for the younger kids and they continuously host events that bring people together. Overall, I would still recommend this location and will continue to visit!

We stopped here to re-fuel between baseball games. They had sweet and savory options as well as really good coffee beverages. The atmosphere is cool and it looked like they do karaoke sometimes. If I lived closer, this would be a regular stop for me

I've been holding onto this review for quite some time, just trying to find the right words to say! We come to TX every year for thanksgiving and one thing the Dickinson are was missing was a great locally owned coffee shop. I was so excited to hear that steam kaffe opened and was extremely touched hearing the story behind it from a family member. When you walk in you can see how inviting the space is and how much thought went into it. They have a great play area for the kiddos, awesome games for adults and a perfect setup for live music. There is plenty of seating and it can be a great hangout spot. The ceilings do make the place feel older but I can look past that. I love the concept of having waffles on sticks with all different flavors and selections. The waffle with peanut butter, honey and banana was extremely good and so buttery. I would go back just for the waffles. Now the hard part: the coffee. I will give a bit of grace because this is new and the baristas are being trained but I'm a bit of a coffee addict and am careful about where I source my beans and how I make it at home. I ordered an iced coffee and asked for cream and honey so I could taste the flavor of the coffee. I loved the hints of pecans and I could tell it was good quality. The baristas didn't know what I meant when I asked for cream in it, which wasn't a great sign. They did the best they could and my coffee was just fine. However, my husband and cousin ordered a cortado which usually comes in a very small cup with espresso and a hint of hot/steamed milk. Usually about equal parts espresso to milk. Their cortados came out in a bigger cup and just tasted like espresso with a ton of milk, similar to a plain hot latte. We were pretty disappointed and could just be a training issue. My other issue is they just had one seasonal which was a lavender chai latte if I remember correctly. I think some of the best coffee shops do well when they have 3-5 seasonal lattes to pick from. It's hard to compete with a Starbucks if the offerings are super simple. I did ask if there were other speciality options and they only knew of the one on the chalkboard menu. I'd suggest doing some speciality latte pairings equally as delicious as their waffle options. I'm excited to stop by next year and cannot wait to see this business thrive. With a few tweaks, I think this could be a great successful business. I'm sure the training will get better and the coffee. Their espresso seems great considering the hints of pecan/nutty flavor I tasted. If the speciality latte offerings get better, I'm sure they'll be the best in town.

Steam Kaffe is now Ugly Mugz (the same shop from Webster) they now have a different menu- drinks and waffles! Waffles are delish- so many flavors to choose from. They also have family karaoke on Saturdays and worship days. Met the Ugly Mugz owner today and she was super sweet.

Super cute ambiance. Nice bathrooms. Good coffee. Apple turnover was warmed up and good. Deducting one star because they didn't have a menu with prices posted on the wall. Also husband was disappointed because they were out of cinnamon muffins.

First timer but definitely not my last! Great place to study, it was pretty empty when I came and the music is quiet so the perfect study ambiance. The barista was very pleasant and recommended a combo for me to try-- chai latte with lavender syrup and I loved it! Will have to try one of their waffles the next time I come

Large black coffee for $5.95. Yikes.

I'm glad I finally got to try Steam Kaffe. I stopped by this morning on my way to work. I was immediately greeted by the two friendly staff members behind the counter. I ordered a large black coffee. I was taken aback at the price of a large black coffee: $5.95. The coffee was good, but a bit pricey.

I have been to this coffee shop 3 times in the last week since I discovered it. I am so excited to have a small business coffee place in the area! They have only been open about 6 weeks from what an employee told me. The coffee has been good! I got the pumpkin spice twice (it's their coffee of the month according to their board). Today I got a basic cold brew with milk and vanilla. I love that they don't overpower the coffee, like other coffee shops do. The inside is super cute. I love the gnome theme. Chairs are comfortable and there is a lot of seating. The staff are kind: they greet you when you walk in, take your drink to your table, and acknowledge you as you are leaving. I am super impressed with this place and will now be a loyal customer. Thank you to the owners for bringing them gem to the Dickinson community!
