I scheduled a cleaning at Dr Quintero's office as a repeat patient. Maria Fernanda Correa, who described herself as a dentist in Venezuela but not in the US, took an oral examination of teeth measurements. I expressed concern to Dr Quintero that I disagreed with Ms. Correa's findings. She was not a licensed Florida dentist. Moreover, I was troubled by Dr Quintero's lack of supervision of Ms. Correa and his failure to examine me. He did not look at my teeth or ask me to open my mouth for an independent examination. He did not take any measurements himself. Instead Dr Quintero wanted X-rays which were taken. Then Lily cleaned the teeth. HQ Dontics billed my insurance for a dental examination despite these facts. After my appointment Maria sent me a $6200 Invisalign treatment plan that was never discussed with me. Hq Dontics personnel never provided a rationale for the Invisalign recommendation. (Ms. Correa's name is listed on the plan although she is not a Florida dentist.). My teeth are already straight from previous braces. I cannot think of any benefit from Invisalign for my health. Subsequently Michelle Polidor from HQDontics admitted a "mistake by our Clinical Coordinator". Furthermore she threatened to "involve our legal counsel." Then Dr Quintero wrote an email terminating me as his patient with a 30 day notice. The email cited "communication and compatibility" despite multiple years as his patient before my yelp review. When a business admits to a mistake by an office coordinator, I would expect a prompt correction, apology and affirmation of the value of the business relationship. The unprecedented behavior of legal threats and termination of me as a patient warrants public consideration. I believe that all the facts are truthful and accurate. read more

When staying in your network means nothing... Skipping a lot of history to get to the point. I went to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to have my front tooth surgically removed on June 1, 2024 and have an implant and a graft done so that I would be able to have a crown installed as soon as I healed. Yes he was in my network, insurance covered 1993.00, I paid $2,409.00 for the surgery, this did not include the "flipper" I was to wear while I healed. Yes, this was traumatizing as I feel my smile was one of my greatest features. I had plenty time to research while I healed and felt that Dr. Hernan Quintero was going to be able to restore my smile after a consultation. I read up everything I could find about him online, looked at the photos on his website gallery, looked all over social media, etc. I felt pretty good about my decision. No, I did not go to who my oral surgeon had recommended after meeting Dr. Quintero, he made me feel like he was a he perfect fit and I did not need to go get a 2nd opinion against my husbands wishes either. Did I mention Dr. Quintero was in my network too? He is a prosthodontist, one who is a dentist who specializes in the function and appearance of the teeth and jaws. Primary job- teeth restoration and replacement. So after being cleared by the surgeon who performed the extraction, I had an appointment with Dr. Hernan Quintero at the Brickell office in Downtown Miami on April 22, 2025. I felt confident that Dr. Quintero was going to be able to restore my smile back to its almost original beauty. I mentioned how I had lost my confidence and also avoided conversations while wearing my temporary flipper and then my temporary crown. He assured me that he would help me and make sure I was 100% happy with the results. So the day of my appointment April 22, 2025, I made my first payment with Zelle, that was my first questionable transaction but understood the credit card fees myself as a business owner too. I was promised the paperwork would be submitted to my insurance company. We decided bleaching my teeth was a great idea, of course I know insurance doesn't cover that but like I've mentioned my smile is important. So in the end a total of (5) visits at a total of $3,794.00 with the last payment being the install of the crown day on November 12, 2025. During the install, I mentioned that the tooth appeared longer, he said it was the tooth to the left that was giving it the illusion. I stated that the tooth hit my bottom teeth first. My oral surgeon made sure my temporary did not do this, he stated neither one should hit first, that should clear together and they did. So at the end of the day, my crown that was installed hits my bottom tooth, on occasion it messes with my speech, a large patch of composite was left on the rear of the crown, I was told it would wear down but everyday I felt it with my tongue and it was very rough. So needless to say, I never got my smile back, my husband comments that I don't smile anymore like I used to, I've had to laugh with my family when my speech is affected, but in my heart I cry because $6,000.00 between (2) doctors should've got me my smile back. I regularly followed up with the insurance and what the doctors office submitted didn't go through, when I could get in touch with the office I was reassured they would resubmit. Just to get through to tell them I needed them to fix the composite wad on my crown, I couldn't get through. So I made an appointment online for teeth cleaning and was told Dr. Quintero would not be available to see me, but that was ok, the lady dentist who was there, I don't remember her name was able to grind down the wad of composite. With no progress on submitting my insurance paperwork between April 22- November 12, 2025 to my insurance company, I started stopping in the office to ask either Adriana or the office manager Michelle, I wanted to resolve the matter before the end of the year because we were moving out of state. So yes, here I am June 14, 2026 writing my review that hopefully will help someone else to do their due diligence better than I did so that you are not saving up to get your crown replaced because it's not what you were promised. Maybe ask to have insurance estimate submitted first so you can have an idea what will get covered because my insurance said some of it would be covered depending on how they bill it. read more

I came here only to check my tooth that broken if I can wait 1-2 weeks because I need to travel. The reasons I chose this dentist because YELP reviews and close to me. They just took X-ray to that teeth only. Only recommended Crown which I know it's needed soon. They charged me $185 for only picture!! (I did checking and deep cleaning at another dentist $220 and was great) I hope you understand what I mean with their prices. I'm a scarey-cat when it comes to dentists but HQ Dontics definitely helps make it a less scary experience! I was recommended to this spot by a family friend a few years ago and have been coming since. Not only has the treatment been great each time with Dr. Quinteros but every professional in this group stands out and what is even more special is how friendly the ambiance is. I wanted to write a review of me and my husband after yesterday's visit to the facility. The service to my husband was provided by Jennifer Pettit - my husband was very uncomfortable during the whole service as Jennifer kept talking to him while doing the cleaning service and asked him if he was single while I was just waiting outside inquiring about whitening service . When he came out and told me about Jennifer's unprofessional talks we didn't want to complain there as we felt awkward about it . I had a wonderful first experience starting at the front desk where the staff was exceptionally competent and helpful. She called my insurance multiple times since I was out of network to reassure me that all costs are covered. The hygienist was extremely professional and thorough paying close attention to every tooth. Finally the dentist had great bed-side manors, he explained every step of the process and educated me on pros and cons of various procedures. He gave me an honest opinion on either or not I needed to pay extra for additional treatment or supplies for my teeth I.e a night guard.
