We were having some plumbing work done at our house which is how I got to know the Ferguson name…read more The plumber came here in search of parts for our toilet - which I like to call our "special case" as its low profile-design requires parts not found in mainstream stores and usually has to be special-ordered. I honestly would like to get rid of it entirely and get a normal john to save future headaches! To my surprise, he wasn't able to find this sleeve that bolts the toilet seat to the toilet. See what a headache this commode is? Another issue came up as we needed a replacement tub spout. I figured if plumbers shop here, this must be the best place to get it. Boy was I wrong. EXPERIENCE: The biz is located in a big warehouse in the Kahului Industrial park with adequate parking. It was far from what I expected. The first door I tried to open was locked and I guess was the office. The next door in line was a big open garage-like door which I thought was for staff only but it's the actual shopping area and their stock room. There are no displays or sales associates roaming the floors, just inventory. After finally locating the faucet section, it got even worse as not only was the selection limited, but everything was boxed with very little detail explaining what was inside. If you're looking for screws, nuts, bolts and everything in between, you'll be in mancave heaven. SERVICE: Like Napa stores, everyone is working behind the counter so you'd have to wait in line along with people purchasing items if you have a simple question. What a waste of time. OVERALL: I'm more of a Home Depot/Lowe's shopper where things are clearly on display with associates abound if you need any assistance. And as far as that tub faucet, I found just what I was looking for at Home Depot! Sorry, Fergie.

One of the best customer service experiences I have had in a long time!…read more My husband and I were next door at the Benjamin Moore store when we noticed PBK. We needed plumbing fixtures for a kitchen and bath remodel, so we decided to walk in. Kalei greeted us and was happy to help us. She walked us through the store to look at the wide array of floor samples. She was very organized and listened to what we needed. Kalei emailed me a "wish list" based on the fixtures I liked. The wish list included the item information, prices, and full spec sheets. Kalei also researched and provided options for sinks, based on specs I gave her. Once I got home and further thought about it, I decided I wanted all brass faucets, so I emailed Kalei to ask if she could get specific brands. Kalei did not bat an eye. Her only concern was me being happy and getting exactly what I wanted. Thus began several weeks of Kalei giving me options and me making decisions. She was patient, helpful, and understood my preferred style every step of the way. When all was said and done, I had a wish list that had everything from a toilet to a beautiful kitchen faucet. Kalei was clear regarding what was in stock in their Maui warehouse and what had to be ordered. We ran into one challenge--the kitchen sink I selected was backordered by the manufacturer. There would be a 2.5 month wait before it could even ship. Kalei went above and beyond by checking with another warehouse, which had the sink! She was able to order the sink through them, rather than having me sit on a back order list. PBK has something for everyone. The customer service I received from Kalei was fantastic. If you want someone who will truly help you get exactly what you want and if you want a wide-variety of options, go see Kalei at PBK.

What a great contractor! Kurt Duval is the owner/operator of Duval Tile & Stone. Kurt is fully…read morelicensed and insured, and his company has been operating on Maui for over 17 years. Kurt's level of care and commitment is simply unparalleled, and his work shows the highest levels of experience and skill. He is very passionate about his work and a true artist in his field. Moreover, he is an extremely nice guy, and his rates are very competitive. Duval Tile & Stone recently tiled the entryway to our townhome in Wailea as well as a very large lanai in the back of our unit. When our unit was built in 2007, the cement pads laid by the builder were not level or "square", and over the years hairline cracks had developed in the cement. To ensure that the new porcelain tile that Kurt was installing for us would be level and resistent to developing cracks in the future, he had to do a significant amount of remedial work to level the cement pads and seal all existing cracks before laying any new tile. The best part about hiring Duval Tile & Stone is that the owner, Kurt Duval, actually does all of the tile work himself. Typically, you will only see the owner of a tile company two times: 1) when you get the initial bid, and 2) when you give him the final payment. That is definitely not the case with Kurt Duval. He is on the worksite EVERY DAY, doing all of the work himself. Why? Because he wants the job done right! Kurt's work ethic is truly amazing in this day and age! So, how did it all turn out? Well, Kurt did a wonderful job in installing all of the tiles. And, by the way, everyday he left the worksite neat and clean. Professionalism, integrity, and craftsmanship -- this is what Kurt Duval brings to the job. Needless to say, my wife and I are delighted with our new entryway and lanai, and we will definitely use Duval Tile & Stone for any future projects. We highly recommend Duval Tile & Stone!

Once you enter the store, I was like "wow", the display are so nice. There are so many choices, everywhere you look, it is like a dream bathroom or kitchen display. The people who work there are also very helpful. I showed them the video of my toilet valve issue. They explained to me the steps that I need to do to change the valve. They even bring out a sample valve to show me how to do it, such information helps me a lot when I do my repair instead of reading through the manual. If you need bathroom stuffs, this is the place to go. They also have plumbing services, but it will cost me $100 to have someone change the valve for me. Since I did valve replacement before, I end up just do it myself. Go check this place out.

It was a great offer, where Hawaii Electric wanted people to give up energy inefficient bulbs and use more efficient LED bulbs. Well, it's a great offer if the people at the store don't refuse to do the exchange and you have to purchase the bulbs instead. That's how it went down. I decided to write to Hawaii Electric and got a nice response from Kolia, who offered to investigate the problem. It took quite a while (like she had anything more important to do? Lol) but she finally got the message across with someone at this store that I should get a refund. Kudos to Kolia for her terrific attitude and efforts to get that straightened out. So, on the following morning, I returned to the Lahaina Ace Hardware Store. I didn't want to wait until the refund offer was forgotten. I asked for the manager (I had no "Karen" attitude) and Myrar came to the checkout. I explained my reason for coming and it was obvious that she had no idea that I should be getting a refund. Someone left this manager out of the loop. Fortunately, after some friendly discussion, Myrar agreed that I should get the refund after I handed over my bag-o-bulbs. Thank you, Myrar, for making this so pleasant. I'm leaving my rating unchanged, because someone left it up to me to convince this nice lady to do the right thing.
