Upon walking in the store there were at least six people, four purchasers, before me. Assuming that an atrocious wait was to be had, the same employee that helped me out on the phone, quickly had everyone out before I got bored. She pulled stuff from inventory for help, helped setup an old account, and was exceptionally knowledgeable and professional at the same time. Expectations were blown away. Upon landing on Molokai, the airlines lost / misplaced all of my gear, so I was there to do an important job, but had not tools, and even lost some specialty communications cables....... I had to think pretty fast on my feet, as not executing and completing this job was not an option.......... What did I do???? Of course I opened my Yelp app. to look for the closest hardware store in conjunction to where I was working. Low & behold, I found 3 places that possibly could meet my needs - 1. Ace Hardware 2. Take's True Value Hardware Store 3. Napa Auto Parts Store I first went to Ace Hardware, but they didn't carry all the tools that I was looking for...........then I did plan "#2" and went to Take's True Value Hardware Store. BINGO!!! Take's had all the tools that I needed to complete the task I came to Molokai to do! Looking at Take's True Value...........it kinda reminded me of a smaller scale City Mill. This hardware store is locally owned, clean, and besides tools.........they also sold other items like sporting goods, plumbing items, & electrical items too! Lots of free parking in the private parking lot, but I didn't have to worry about parking, as I walked over to the store from the bank. If that's the case, why does this store advertise on the website "available to purchase in store" if they're going to discriminate and decide who they want to sell to? I honestly would like to get rid of it entirely and get a normal john to save future headaches! To my surprise, he wasn't able to find this sleeve that bolts the toilet seat to the toilet. See what a headache this commode is? Another issue came up as we needed a replacement tub spout. I figured if plumbers shop here, this must be the best place to get it. Boy was I wrong. EXPERIENCE: The biz is located in a big warehouse in the Kahului Industrial park with adequate parking. It was far from what I expected. The first door I tried to open was locked and I guess was the office. The next door in line was a big open garage-like door which I thought was for staff only but it's the actual shopping area and their stock room. There are no displays or sales associates roaming the floors, just inventory. After finally locating the faucet section, it got even worse as not only was the selection limited, but everything was boxed with very little detail explaining what was inside. If you're looking for screws, nuts, bolts and everything in between, you'll be in mancave heaven. SERVICE: Like Napa stores, everyone is working behind the counter so you'd have to wait in line along with people purchasing items if you have a simple question. What a waste of time. OVERALL: I'm more of a Home Depot/Lowe's shopper where things are clearly on display with associates abound if you need any assistance. And as far as that tub faucet, I found just what I was looking for at Home Depot! Sorry, Fergie.
