Upon landing on Molokai, the airlines lost / misplaced all of my gear, so I was there to do an important job, but had not tools, and even lost some specialty communications cables....... Take's True Value Hardware Store 3. Napa Auto Parts Store I first went to Ace Hardware, but they didn't carry all the tools that I was looking for...........then I did plan "#2" and went to Take's True Value Hardware Store. BINGO!!! Take's had all the tools that I needed to complete the task I came to Molokai to do! Looking at Take's True Value...........it kinda reminded me of a smaller scale City Mill. This hardware store is locally owned, clean, and besides tools.........they also sold other items like sporting goods, plumbing items, & electrical items too! Lots of free parking in the private parking lot, but I didn't have to worry about parking, as I walked over to the store from the bank. It's nice to know that even if you're on a remote island............you can still get what you need, and I feel so fortunate that Take's True Value Hardware Store was around when I needed them!

Larry, even though he was in lumber, took the time out and walked me to the right aisle to get a Husky lamp. He needed to get ladder and pull my item down which took him away from his duties. When you arrive to the store they tell you, "oh I don't know, the manager sells it, I don't know what time the manager arrives, he sells a little bit at a time." If that's the case, why does this store advertise on the website "available to purchase in store" if they're going to discriminate and decide who they want to sell to? False leading people into a store is ILLEGAL when the product isn't even available to purchase. False ADVERTISEMENT & WASTE OF TIME. Store policy has no respect for people's time & fuel prices.

I actually come here because within the store, you'll find a whole array of kitchen items and gadgets tucked away in a little corner. Growing up, I remember it used to be stocked with THE cutest Christmas items and decorations. I can't remember when the transition to kitchen goods happened, but adult me thinks it's great, lol. There are small appliances, high-quality knife selections, wooden utensils and plating, pots, pans, decorations and basically all the essentials that you would need for your home kitchen! You can also find some things here that you wouldn't normally find in other stores like an Ooni pizza oven, Japanese knives, and pretty tea sets. The ladies behind the counter are always so nice and helpful. On my last visit I was looking for items for an event and while I didn't find everything I needed, I found some cute bamboo tongs that were priced very reasonably. Other than the hardware, definitely stop in here sometime if you're looking for some kitchen goods too or maybe insulated Yeti bottles which line the wall at the entrance.

It was really nice to work with somebody who was able to find solutions for us when a usual product we use was out from one of their competitors. Hoping to get their help on a project on Kauai too because their rep works statewide.
